About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every pet. I understand that every dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level. I’m reliable, patient, and committed to creating a safe, positive experience while you’re away. Whether that means playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping your dog company, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for throughout my time with them. As a 20 year old college student home for the summer. I work at South of Beale downtown and enjoy attending to animals. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of providing reliable, attentive, and loving care and i would love to be your next sitter ! As a pet owner, I can provide safe, attentive care by following routines, watching your pets, maintaining a clean environment, and ensuring they feel comfortable, secure, and loved.
“Brittany took excellent care of our dogs. Upon return, the house was neat and cleaned up. One of our dogs loved her so much, he was visibly disappointed when we returned...😆 We will be using her again!”

“Cybil went above and beyond to care for my three puppies, which is a lot! And they had some special pharmaceutical needs at the time. I would recommend Cybil a hundred million times.”

About: Hi! I'm a pre-vet student with hands on animal care experience and a genuine love for animals of all kinds. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can fully trust, so I focus on providing attentive, dependable care while making sure your pet feels safe and loved! Whether its walks, playtimes, feeding, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet as my own. My goal is to give owners peace of mind while creating a fun, calm, and caring experience for their pets. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine and is something I prioritize and plan around. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent care, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and some weekends depending on the day. I’m able to accommodate regular visits, drop-ins, walks, and feeding schedules, and I make sure to build my commitments around each pet’s needs. I’m reliable with timing and communication, so pet parents can feel confident their pets are being checked on and cared for as planned. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and familiar environment by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I pay close attention to feeding instructions, medication schedules, and any specific behavioral needs or preferences each pet has. I make sure doors are secured, litter boxes are clean, water is fresh, and the space is kept tidy and comfortable. I also focus on building trust with each pet by moving at their pace, especially with shy or anxious animals, and giving them gentle attention and reassurance. I treat every home with respect and care, keeping everything clean and leaving things exactly as I found them. My goal is always to ensure both pets and owners feel safe, comfortable, and confident while I’m there.
“Brianna was amazing with my puppy and cat!! My puppy was always well behaved when left alone but while I was traveling she discovered a love of cardboard and Brianna was able to get to her quickly and make sure she couldn’t eat anymore of it. Brianna was also able to bond quickly with both of them, who are normally very shy and she was even able to take my puppy out for short walks (she’s normally very scared on walks). And the house was just as I left it! 10/10 would totally recommend!”

“Lidia was absolutely a rockstar with Dex! She was so attentive to him and sent me detailed updates so that I knew my little guy was living his best life. 10 out of 10 recommend Lidia!”

About: I've grown up with all kinds of animals, cats and dogs. I have two dogs of my own currently, with the oldest being 11 and I've had him since he was 6weeks old. I dog and cat sit frequently for friends, in their home or they come to me if they want to. I always treat each animal as their own individual with their own personality and take time to pay attention and learn what they need, like, don't like, etc. Your animals will always be safe with me. I work from home so am able to be flexible. Your animals can always come stay with me if you need them to or I can stay with them if they are more comfortable in their own space. In my home, I have a fenced in yard and two dog-friendly dogs for play dates. In client/friends home, I will follow whatever rules or needs you have for your pets. I'm comfortable giving all kinds of care, medicine, etc.
“Em was very professional and attentive to our dogs. Updated us on the day-to-day schedule. We highly recommend them for pet sitting. We will use their services again in the future.”

About: I have 7 years of pet sitting experience, and have petsat dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters, pigs, and fish. What sets me apart is my experience with my 14 year old cat. She is diabetic and has a host of other senior Kitty problems. I administer insulin twice a day, glucose curves, and oral medication. I am comfortable doing all of this with your fur baby too. I am also known to give excellent pets and belly rubs! I am now in the clinical year of my Physician Assistant program, so my schedule will be heavily influenced by my preceptor at the time. I would love to walk your pet around the neighborhood and take them to the dog park if that is their interest as well. I give all the pets I petsit lots of attention and cuddles each and every day!
About: I ‘m exceptionally careful and sensitive to your pup’s personality and temperament. I will Aid in any fun times that you don’t have time to give them. So when you’re home from work they are tired just like you and really for a cuddling sleep next to you! Anything else you need like special instructions or guidance, I will be happy to oblige. I love getting to know different puppies and dogs so that I can learn more about the different breeds. I fully plan to start my own business in about five years and it will be dedicated to dogs cats and other small caged animals. I truly believe that your pets are family and that they deserve the very best care. I will Provide that!
About: For the past couple of years, friends and co-workers have trusted me with they're homes AND pets! My number one priority in sitting is to make sure that the owner is 100% worry free! If your pet has very strict eating, walking, or potty hours, I am very flexible with keeping to those schedules. If there are specific instructions for care, I learn them fast. If I am over-night pet-sitting, but the owner did not ask me to clean the house, I have always cleaned up anyway just to insure that they are satisfied when they come to their home! If you need me, I'm here to help YOU. I have a job as a company dance member at New Ballet Ensemble and I am in college studying Psychology at University of Memphis.
“Thank you so much for taking care of my sweet baby Rudy! I was nervous about using Rover for the first time, but Kissie immediately put me at ease. We did a meet and greet before my trip so she could meet Rudy and learn our routine, which made me feel so much more comfortable. While I was away, she checked in several times a day and sent the cutest photos and videos. I could tell Rudy was happy, loved, and well taken care of. I’ll definitely be booking with Kissie again!”

“Abby was professional and communicative throughout our initial meeting and her time dog sitting in my home. She sent pictures and was respectful of my space- leaving it just as clean (or cleaner) than it was when she arrived. I felt 100% comfortable leaving my dog in her care.”

“James once again was simply the best sitter I could have asked for. Constant communication and my girls had the best week. Had some hiccups at the house and he just rolled with it. Will rebook with again and again!”

“My pets love her, she sent daily photos, and kept me updated the whole stay. I felt very comfortable knowing she was with them. I even think she vacuumed and watered my plants as a bonus! Thanks so much, definitely will book with you again.”

Dimecia was wonderful with my girl Darcy! She came for a meet and greet before even on a last minute request! She sent pictures of her visit and updated me about my girl. She spent time snuggling and giving belly rubs in the evening just like my baby loves! I could tell Dracy felt the love and made a friend for life! I will definitely be using Dimecia again in the future .

Kissie was absolutely fantastic with our boy Hank! She sent us multiple updates/photos/videos every day we were gone, which we greatly appreciated! We were gone over the holidays so having someone here with Hank to take care of him and love him put as at such ease. Kissie also left the apartment spotless, picked up packages, and took out the trash. Thank you so much and we’ll definitely book her again in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Rugby on Rover is $31.08 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 489 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Rugby. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rugby walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rugby maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rugby choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rugby. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
