Our dog loved hanging out with him. I highly recommend Oliver for any and all pet-sitting needs! We will be using him as our regular sitter from here on out :) thank you Oliver!!

About: I'm an early bird so morning walks are always in; Sir Connor (Rest In Dog Paradise ) he was a shih tzu mixed. He was not neutered, because I wanted grand fur babies at the time. I have fostered over a dozen dogs and a handful of cats. Daisy May was an extra addition to the family while I was fostering a puppy I called Maxwell; Maxwell has been adopted by a caring couple! Daisy May is currently the only dog I have so far. Sitting Schedule: Breakfast is at 10:30. I'm reading on how to train dogs and so treats would be ideal for play time! Dinner is severed at 7:30 I feed twice a day. If I have your dog on the weekend, they get to go on a field trip to Overton Park or Mud Island Dog Park. They also get enrichment time with pet toys and snacks! I also groom on the weekend. I mostly had dogs as pets; I rescued a cat and named him Jeffery and he was adopted by a loving family. If you have more questions feel free to ask me! Thank You! I’m currently working part-time as a caregiver; I’m available after 12:00pm during the week; My weekends are flexible. I’ll be working full time once the school year starts! Daisy May is crate trained; I also have a foster puppy who has his own crate too. I have a doggie gate if separation is needed. My yards are not fenced; I stay on a slow traffic street.

Brianna was amazing with my puppy and cat!! My puppy was always well behaved when left alone but while I was traveling she discovered a love of cardboard and Brianna was able to get to her quickly and make sure she couldn’t eat anymore of it. Brianna was also able to bond quickly with both of them, who are normally very shy and she was even able to take my puppy out for short walks (she’s normally very scared on walks). And the house was just as I left it! 10/10 would totally recommend!

About: I have cared for large breed dogs for my entire life, and I’ve worked in animal care for 5 years. I am experienced in administering medications and understanding animal behavior from my work in animal shelters. I currently work at a veterinary clinic! I am off on every other weekend, and have a day off during the week. During every work day I am available to check in on your pets on my lunch break, and I get off early in the evening so I have plenty of afternoon time to spend with them! I am new to Rover, but have been pet sitting for many reoccurring clients for about 3 years now. I currently have four cats of my own, and I am a neonatal kitten foster and have bottle babies on and off. As such, I am adept at handling fragile cats with special needs. I am very experienced in administering medications of all types to both cats and dogs, including injections, oral, topical, etc.

About: I have been a pet sitter for up to five dogs at a time, and the best compliment I've ever gotten is those dogs were more relaxed than when the family left! I am okay working with pets who have medical/special needs. Currently, this is my only job, though I do take online classes in the evening. This means I can give your pets the time they deserve! Your fur baby's health, safety, and comfort is my top priority! I'll follow your directions to the letter to make sure they're okay and comfortable-medication, time in and out, sleeping arrangements, and everything else!

Aaron took great care of my rambunctious puppy. He provided constant communication about everything and was very attentive to my pup's needs. He even went above and beyond and came back to let Boba out for an extra potty because I wouldn't be home until later than we thought. Boba is happy and from the pix and videos, it looks like he made a new bestie in Aaron.

About: As early as 8 years old, I’ve had hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs. From taking in and caring for outside cats to helping raise and care for puppies through their senior years, animals have always been a meaningful part of my life. I’ve helped with the everyday care that keeps pets happy and healthy, including walking, potty breaks, bathing, flea care, giving medications, feeding, and keeping up with their routines. One of my favorite parts of caring for animals is building trust with them. I naturally speak to animals gently and patiently, especially when guiding, correcting, or rewarding them. I believe pets respond best when they feel safe, understood, and respected. Whether your angel is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, elderly and needing extra patience, or simply attached to their normal routine, I want them to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I genuinely enjoy the maintenance and little details of pet care—not just the fun parts. I’m happy to keep up with potty breaks, walks, feeding schedules, medications, baths, cleanliness, and whatever routine helps your pet feel at home. My goal is for your pet to receive the same patience, affection, and gentle guidance I would want for my own. 🐾❤️ Your angel is in good hands with me! It’s daily As someone who loves to take care of animals and give out affection, I see pet sitting more as a bond, then just simply a job They are provided with the same care that they will receive from their loving parents, think of it more of spending the night with their favorite aunt!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Martha as our in-home dog sitter. She was incredibly communicative from start to finish, keeping us updated regularly with messages and lots of sweet photos of our pups. It was clear that she gave them so much love and attention—they looked relaxed and happy the whole time we were away. Martha was also very respectful of our home, leaving everything just as we left it. Knowing our dogs were in such good hands gave us real peace of mind. We will use her again in a heartbeat!

FAQs for House Sitting - Nonconnah

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 473 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Nonconnah. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Nonconnah walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Nonconnah maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nonconnah choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nonconnah. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
