“Julia took amazing care of our two dogs and home while we were out of town for over a week. We arrived home to happy, calm, content pets and a beautifully clean house. We appreciated her thoughtful pictures and updates about how our girls were doing in her care. She also helped our nervous pups feel comfortable faster than any other petsitter (or visitor of any kind!) has in the past. Thank you again, Julia! You're the best.”

“Our dog Carmen loved his weekend with Eliza. She was prompt in arriving, kept us informed, played ball with him until he wore himself out and he fell asleep on his blanket. Eliza was very respectful of our home and even cleaned my shower when I ran out of time with back to back traveling. We appreciate her care for our pet and will definitely book with her again. Thanks again Eliza!”

“Our dogs like her better than us! She was a remarkable friend—she immediately felt like family and I feel 1000% better about any future travel knowing I have someone like Montserrat to watch our home and our fur babies. Love, love, love!!! 10/5 stars”

“Brooke was phenomenal! She and our skittish little dog, Bingo, hit it off right away during a "meet & greet". She took great care of Bingo, sending us pictures & updates on a regular basis. we were able to fully enjoy our 10 day trip, knowing our home and fur baby were in such good hands. We will definitely want Brooke back the next time we leave town.”

“Nayla was incredible! She took care of our home and all of our many animals with precision and love. We came home to a very happy household and that means the world to us. Nayla was very communicative! Nayla handled our special medical needs dog (blind/diabetic) amazingly. We were able to be away from home without a single worry thanks to Nayla. Not to mention the multiple times our plans changed the week of our trip and Nayla accommodated us/handled every change perfectly. We’d love to have Nayla housesit for us again, and hopefully she feels the same about us!”

“Auntie Ty is the best! She was so attentive to all of our animals and cleaned up after our messy cats like a champ 💪🏻 She’s also a great communicator so you will always know your fur babies are safe, healthy, and happy! ❤️”

“Melissa came to the house early Sunday morning to be with Tootsie and Gizmo. She stayed with them until Saturday evening. They were well cared for. Thank you very much, Melissa.”

About: I grew up around dogs and cats, and they always bring me joy. I treat animals like they are my own. While you are away, I want you to feel confident and secure about your pet’s happiness and well-being. I am reliable, and over six years, I have never missed a visit to a client’s home. I also have experience administering medications, especially my family dog Casey’s numerous pills. I would be happy to help out with your pet(s) in the mornings and/or evenings, as I work a full-time job at a local school. I would be glad to keep your fur baby company on visits to your home. I will gladly check your mail, water your plants, or do anything else you need while you’re away.
“Sean was wonderful! He genuinely cares about animals, sent thoughtful updates throughout, and followed every instruction perfectly. I came home to a happy, relaxed pet. Highly recommend, and will absolutely book again!”

About: I foster for the Humane society and other rescues. I know animal first aid. Degree in wildlife Biology. I have two dogs of my own, and one cat. I wake up at 7 and feed and walk everyone. After they are done eating we play or cuddle depending on the pets personality. Kittens and puppies eat lunch. If you want your pet to eat three meals please ask. Evening time around 7-8 is Dinner for everyone. Between these times is when there are short walks and play. I don't have a fenced yard yet. I have two dogs at home. One is a senior shih Tzu that only wants to lay around all day. The other is a Bull terrier that is kept outside or in the garage. He gets along with female dogs only so he will be kept away from most pets. I have a cat that loves everyone including dogs. I keep her claws trimmed just in case. If there is a accident I have quick clot and other first aid available.
About: Fantastic with pets and humans. During medical school, I worked at a pet store. I will take care of your baby very well. Book to begin. I work from home, close to 3 dog parks and will be your best option. Very capable gold star character, so book with no hesitation. Thanks. Yes fenced home. Dog park access. Pets are allowed on the furniture. There is a play room for pets... yes, I created a play room in my home for pets.
About: I've raised and cared for 4 dogs; all of differing sizes and personalities. I can provide attentive and trustworthy care for all pups and older pups as well. I'm a full time student; however, I am available throughout the early hours of the evening and well into the night. I'm also available during the weekends at most hours. My home is not fenced, but I can provide walks throughout your pet's stay. I also have two cats of my own if they are cat-friendly, otherwise they can be kept separated!

I bave experience with administering medication as well! Im currently working part time so i have plenty of time and a flexible schedule! I can do stop in’s multiple times a day and spend as much time with your animals as needed! I have wonderful experience in caring for both big and small dogs! The job I work in right now is actually a dog service and care facility! I absolutely love taking them on exciting walks and keeping them entertained and engaged with fun activities!

“I highly recommend Amy. She took great care of pups and home. We came home to two happy dogs . Amy was well prepared and gave us updates on how the stay was going.”

About: I have loved animals since I was a young child. I love caring for dogs and also the flexibility to travel, so I do not have a pup of my own. I started dog sitting in high school and college while on breaks from school and it brings me so much joy to care for everyone's pups. I work full-time in a physical therapy clinic, so I am typically able to run home during my lunch break if dogs are in need of a restroom break. I am always excited to spend time with animals in any way possible! Sometimes this looks like stopping at someone's house on the way home from work if they need walked, staying in their home, or their dog(s) staying with me. I do not have any pets of my own, so if your dog does not get along well with other dogs they will be comfortable in my home. I have a roommate who also loves dogs but does not have any pets. If your dog(s) love others, we can enjoy walks and dog parks and play dates with others! I am very careful when entering and residing in others homes, and try to make sure the environment is the same or cleaner than I left it.
“Dimecia was wonderful with my girl Darcy! She came for a meet and greet before even on a last minute request! She sent pictures of her visit and updated me about my girl. She spent time snuggling and giving belly rubs in the evening just like my baby loves! I could tell Dracy felt the love and made a friend for life! I will definitely be using Dimecia again in the future .”

“This was our first time having someone stay to watch our three standard poodles. I was nervous when picking someone. I read reviews and decided Robert was the one. I hope my review can help others find someone like Robert for their dogs. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. We felt so comfortable with Robert. He stayed at our house and took great care of our dogs. He took them on walks and sent me super sweet pictures. We will definitely be using him again.”

“I was VERY happy with Tierra. She took great care of my pups and my house . She sent so many great pictures and videos throughout her stay. She was very interactive with them. She played with them so much my pups were exhausted when I got home, which was great because I was exhausted after my trip as well. My pups loved her. They were sad to see her leave at the end of the weekend. I will be using Tierra again, in fact, in the next couple of weeks.”

McKenzie was awesome! I was unexpectedly left without a sitter before a long trip, and she was available on short notice. She sent a ton of photos so every chance I got nervous about my babies, I had a lot to review of them. She took great care of my home as well. I will definitely rebook her and recommend her to friends. :)

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bartlett walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bartlett maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bartlett choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bartlett. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
