“Amber is so very sweet to my dog (Honey), I thought I would have to call off work because I couldn't find anyone to watch my sweet girl. Amber truly is a lifesaver thank you so much 😊”

“I’m so pleased with the care my dog received from Adel and his wife. My dog got to socialize and play outside under their caring and watchful gaze. I felt so at ease leaving him in their care for the afternoon and was able to relax knowing he was in good hands while I ran important errands. I’m so thankful for their services and would definitely use them again if I was in the are. I highly recommend Adel!”

“Tara is wonderful! She takes such good care of my fur baby and it’s great to go to work and know that my pup is in good hands. I’d recommend her to anyone!”

“Mark was wonderful! Last minute request and he responded immediately and had a big fenced in yard for Theo to run in. I received lots of pictures and updates throughout the day. Theo was worn out for playing so hard and I’m sure Mark and his dogs were too lol. Will definitely use him again.”

“My baby girl loves Auntie Ty!! Titeara is not only a fun and loving sitter but she knows what she is doing as well…very professional and keeps me updated. Highly recommend as she is trustworthy and genuinely loves what she do, my fur baby look forward to her next adventure ❤️”

About: I foster for the Humane society and other rescues. I know animal first aid. Degree in wildlife Biology. I have two dogs of my own, and one cat. I wake up at 7 and feed and walk everyone. After they are done eating we play or cuddle depending on the pets personality. Kittens and puppies eat lunch. If you want your pet to eat three meals please ask. Evening time around 7-8 is Dinner for everyone. Between these times is when there are short walks and play. I don't have a fenced yard yet. I have two dogs at home. One is a senior shih Tzu that only wants to lay around all day. The other is a Bull terrier that is kept outside or in the garage. He gets along with female dogs only so he will be kept away from most pets. I have a cat that loves everyone including dogs. I keep her claws trimmed just in case. If there is a accident I have quick clot and other first aid available.
“We had an emergency with our pet and could not keep the appointment and Mary was caring and considerate. I’m sorry we lost our pet and won’t be able to use her services but I highly recommend her as a human who cares lovingly for pets.”

“Dennis and his wife Sue are so great! I left my French bulldog with them for daycare, and she usually has some separation anxiety but she did great :) You can tell that they both love dogs and are just sweet people in general.”

“This was a most excellent choice for Stella. Friendly people, friendly dogs, they had treats, they played in the back yard together. We'll do this again. Thank you Shoshana !! Stella said woof woof. !!”

“Melissa was awesome! She took such good care of my dogs and they came back very happy! Melissa gave great updates during the stay! Will be booking with Melissa again!”

“Derek is very communicative and attentive. He has a great introduction and integration system for his new dogs. It allows them to take their time acclimating to the new environment and only meet the other dogs once they’re calm and ready. Derek responds promptly and sends pictures throughout the stay. We felt confident leaving Cadbury with him and will do so again. He returned home calm, happy, and satisfied.”

“Myla was very welcoming, we were coming to Cordva for my sons’ wedding and my sitter canceled so we were going to just book a hotel and leave Kash there, but I decided to do a look to see if there were sitters in Tennessee and came across this website( easy to use) and found Myla, book her she took care of my fur baby and I got a picture……Thank you Myla”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
