I petsit full time and my schedule is typically flexible. The majority of the time, I'm at home hanging out with my pets and others' pets(I'm so lucky!).

I have a large, secure yard in a quiet area. My house is set up with intention to be comfy and safe for pets. I treat every animal I care for with the same level of mindfulness and love that I'd want for my own pets. I work hard to keep everyone's stress levels low (owners included!). You'll get photos and/or videos multiple times per day, and if I notice anything's different from normal, I'll mention it immediately and adjust as needed. I believe that reassuring and communicating with owners is as important as providing love and excellent care for pets. Your pets are covered by my personal petsitters insurance as well as the Rover guarantee when I care for them. Although I've never had to make a claim through either, it's better to be safe than sorry. I take dogs from multiple families(3-4 at a time). We introduce dogs slowly off leash, and everyone is seperate when around food/treats/high-value toys or when I'm unable to actively supervise. I've never had a major issue between dogs over 1000+ bookings. My dogs love our guest dogs, and my cats stay securely separate from guest dogs at all times. Despite all the pawprints and fur, my home is a very clean environment. Surfaces and bowls are sanitized daily, and the yard is picked up each time we go out. Toys, dog beds, and couch covers are washed weekly. I don't leave anything that a dog could swallow out, and my house is very well dog-proofed in general.

• I require proof of up-to-date vaccinations. A meet & greet with my dogs and I is always mandatory prior to booking boarding/daycare. Dogs will be dogs, and I'm not one to sweat the small stuff, but the more I know, the more I can tailor to your pup. Please let me know if your dog has any behaviors to watch for—escape artistry, excessive barking, chewing on non-toy items, marking or accidents indoors, reactivity, or aggression towards other animals or people. I'm unable to board dogs who have demonstrated any aggression towards other dogs or people, but I may be able to provide drop-in visits in your home instead on a case-by-case basis. Please let me know what your dog is used to overnight as well as when you leave the house. I can typically follow you and your dogs' preference for crating or not crating as long as your dog doesn't go out of their way to chew or eat things they shouldn't(you would absolutely be notified of any issue and be asked for your input or suggestions before this measure was taken). All dogs besides sibling groups are always separated via crate or 36in baby gates when I'm unable to actively supervise. Usually they all end up curled up on the couch next to me, or follow me around all day.
A typical day
We are outside a lot of the time. Lots of backyard play sessions and fetch! Most of my animals in the past, as well as my current Aussie, have been high energy, so redirecting that energy isn't new to me. I have a comfy couch and dog beds for times that we're inside. I never let dogs play unattended—if they're outside, so am I.

Petsitting has been my full-time job for the past two years. I have professional experience in veterinary & boarding facilities. I grew up on a mountain in Wyoming with a kennel of ~16 Huskies. I cared for & trained dogs from puppies and semi-competitively raced for many years. I've petsat for multiple professional kennels of 40+ dogs and have cared for small farms (horses, donkeys, alpacas, chickens, and cows) as well.
