Jaidyn was so sweet, patient and thoughtful with our basset hound Phoebe. She walked her longer than expected and cared for her just as we would. We can’t recommend Jaidyn enough!

About: I’ve taken care of my cat ever since I was born (he’s 20) and I have 2 childhood dogs at home that I walked and fed every day, and now one crazy Pitbull of my own! I am a high school teacher and off for the summer so I will have plenty of time to care for your cats and dogs! I have a 2 year old pitbull who used to jump/nibbled so I am able to direct and control dogs if needed. I have a lot of experience with dogs who pull on leash, so that also will not be a problem.

About: I’ve had a strong love for dogs since I was a small child, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’m playful and energetic with active dogs, while also being calm and comforting to more laid-back pups who just want cuddles and company. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and making them feel safe, loved, and happy. I’d love the opportunity to enjoy every special moment with your fur baby and care for them like they’re my own. Since it’s summer and I’ve already graduated, I have a very open and flexible schedule and am available most days at almost any time. I’m able to stop by in the morning, afternoon, and again before the night ends to make sure your dog is comfortable, cared for, and getting plenty of attention throughout the day. Taking great care of your dog and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved will always be my top priority. I have a fenced yard, feeding bowls, and a leash to help keep your dog safe and comfortable while in my care. I’m also more than willing to purchase any additional supplies needed to make sure your dog is cared for properly and feels as comfortable as possible. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being will always come first with me.

About: I have previous experience in dog, cat, and house sitting. I’ve had several pets throughout my life and all have lived long healthy lives in my care. I currently volunteer with House of Mews on a weekly basis. I have knowledge and experience in caregiving, bathing, and administering medicine. I follow directions well and will give your furry friend the best care possible. Currently working my own hours, so I am flexible and free to visit whenever you need me. If you have any special requests, just let me know and we can work out pricing. My home is unfortunately unavailable for boarding. But I’m comfortable taking care of pets in all types of environments and don’t mind traveling with them in my car if you’d like me to enrich their day at a dog park or on a nature trail.

About: Hi everyone! I’m Ashley. (Rover lists my legal name, but I’ve gone by my middle name since birth.) I care for every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is for pets to stay comfortable in their own home, so I focus on keeping their routines consistent and their environment calm and familiar. I’m both playful and patient, and I adapt to each animal’s personality — whether that means energetic playtime, quiet companionship, or sticking closely to their normal routine. My two goals when caring for your pets are simple: 🐾 Make your pet feel safe, understood, and loved while you’re away 📱 Give you total peace of mind with regular updates, photos, and communication You’ll always know how your pet is doing — and you might even get a video of me singing to them if they seem like they’d enjoy it. I have an extrememly flexible schedule, and i am 100% dependable. I am understanding about schedules changing or long work days without notice, and am more than happy for last minute drop in's or walks/feedings. Preferably at least a 1 hour notice, or if we live close by that would be an exception. I am very easy to work with! I care for the pets as instructed, whether it be in your backyard or on a walk or home snuggles/feeding. If your pets are fans of ridiculous humans singing to them, then I am the one for you.

About: I started walking & sitting dogs around my neighborhood when I was 14/15 years old. For about 2 years after, I frequently volunteered at the Humane Society, socializing the cats & walking dogs. I adore animals so much and have been trusted to care for many different kinds of pets in the past. Big, small, elderly, sick, or straight-up wild! Doing daily drop-ins or housesitting is most preferable because of my work schedule. I am always available overnight, but my available times change during the daytime hours. If it is a longer stay, I just need to know a little bit more ahead of time. I am the general manager at a coffee shop, so I do make my own schedule :) While dog-walking, I promise to keep my full attention on your pup at all times. I have experience walking larger breeds because of past jobs, as well as walking my own 120 lb. Doberman mix for years before he passed. While sitting or doing drop-in visits, I will promise to follow your exact instructions. I am clean, caring, and compassionate with everything I do. **I have taken care of large breed dogs, senior pets, disabled pets, pets with special needs, pets with daily medication, and pets with behavioral issues. Just let me know any important information beforehand! Though I currently have a full-time job, I have plenty of free time before/after work that I would love to spend with your animals :) I make my own schedule! Always available overnight. I cannot currently provide boarding in my own home, but I intend to fully respect anyone’s home I enter. Any instructions left will be followed to a T. Your personal belongings will never be touched, and communication is always my top priority.

Julie is a real pro when it comes to working with dogs. My dog was a bit hesitant on meeting Julie, and she knew exactly how to gently earn his trust. Smooth sailing after that. He loved going on a walk with Julie, and I'm booking more sessions. Great communication skills, too.

You could consider me your personal pet consultant! From a young age, I found joy in taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes. I put a lot of pride in providing specialized care into the pets I’m caring for, just like they were my own. I myself have a special needs dog, which has taught me even more patience and thoughtfulness when caring for pets. Every single animal is unique and requires a different level of care, and I am able to cater to that individual pets needs. I’m able to provide training to dogs of all ages, nutrition guidance, and recommendations for overall health and wellness. I can’t wait to meet your pet! About: I am a pet person! I’ve had dogs since I was a child and have cared for my own dogs and cats throughout my adult life. Animals have always been part of my family, and I truly love caring for fur babies of all ages and personalities. I treat every pet like my own, with patience, affection, attention, cuddles, and lots of love. I understand how important it is for pet parents to feel confident their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m known in my community for taking care of friends’ pets when they’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention, supervision, walks, and companionship throughout the day. I live in a safe, walkable neighborhood and love taking dogs on walks, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved. My home is very pet-friendly, I have a large, fenced in backyard, and I genuinely enjoy having animals as part of my daily life. Jaymes has been great with my high-energy German Shepherd puppy! He goes the extra mile to reinforce the training we've been working on and make sure she's safe and happy. He clearly has a good amount of experience with dogs and is well-versed in the basic principles of dog behavior. Highly recommend!

  • 100% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
