“Stephanie was such an amazing help today, and so very professional and kind! She went out of her way to accommodate us; came earlier on a short notice, and kindly brought Gracey to a different location when we changed our plans in the last minute. She kept us updated and we felt our dog was really well taken care of. We would highly recommend her!”

About: I have owned pets since i was 6. I have owned dogs, birds, cats, fishes, spiders and more!! I am pretty active and can keep up with a dogs fast paced life. I am also chill more those more laid back puppies. I love having the company of a fury (and not so fury) friend around as much as they enjoy ours. I have experienced with alot if breeds of dogs and would love to expand my knowledge with more breeds. When sitting and walking dogs i focus all my attention on the task at hand making sure the dog gets everything he or she may need and all the attention ut can possible want. Dogs have been apart of my life for years and i just want to continue to give dogs a positive and fun filled life. I work overnights during the week and I'm free most weekends. I do moat dog walkings during the day and the time is not a problem on the weekends. I currently do not accept dog boarding requests but i do drop ins, house sitting, and dog walking. I usually follow all instructions given to make sure the dogs environment is as safe as possible.
“Chloe is very communicative and I am so glad she is careful of my dog's health and comfort, especially on extra hot days. My dog Marty liked her instantly and I am so glad to have found her to give him his midday walkabouts!”

“Anne is very reliable and I always come home to a happy pup. I hesitate to put a positive review because I’d like to have her all for myself but she deserves it!”

“Mary was absolutely great. My Ghost is a gentle giant, but Mary safely and with care and concern helped with his walks daily while I was out od the country. I would trust and recommend Mary a thousand times. She often sent updates and communicated thoroughly. She removes the stress of his wellbeing away from me.”

“Mery Ann is a super caring person that definitely loves pets and treats them so sweet! Thank you! I had to leave for a trip last minute and she was able to watch them and show up when I really needed it. Thanks!”

“Julie is a real pro when it comes to working with dogs. My dog was a bit hesitant on meeting Julie, and she knew exactly how to gently earn his trust. Smooth sailing after that. He loved going on a walk with Julie, and I'm booking more sessions. Great communication skills, too.”

About: We are a married couple in our 40s interested in house/pet-sitting together. We have pet-sat for a few NC and TN families for the past several years, and both of us had pet-sat before we met as well. Zachary works from home and so will be around the house much of the day if dogs need a mid-day walk or meal. Denny wakes up early and can feed and walk dogs in the early morning. Between us, we have experience with cats, dogs, fish, birds, rodents, rabbits, livestock, reptiles, and amphibians. We are willing to work with other animals as well. We prefer to sleep at the pet-owner's home when needed, as this means that we’re around and available for the pets at various times throughout the day. Denny also does drop-in care and dog-walking. Zachary has experience training dogs and volunteering with cats as well. Looking forward to meeting you! Zachary has a flexible work schedule and works from home. Denny is available to care for pets in the mornings, sometimes late afternoons, evenings, and weekends. We both enjoy walking and hiking and would love to take your dogs for walks. We don’t bring pets into our home but prefer overnight care in the pets’ home and are also open to drop-in care and walks. We are both very gentle with dogs and cats and enjoy lots of cuddles with pets, and we also make sure to take them for walks if desired.

About: I grew up with various animals, including but not limited to cats, dogs, parrots, rabbits, chickens, and hamsters. From a young age, I’ve been responsible for taking care of animals. As an adult, I’ve also fostered multiple times through MAS and the Humane Society, typically momma cats with kittens and bottle baby kittens. I’m currently a high school teacher with two dogs and two cats of my own. Animals are a huge part of my life, and I’m happy to spend time with yours & make sure they’re thriving while you’re away! I am a high school teacher, so I tend to work M-F 8-3:30. I am available for morning feedings/walks, as well as whatever is needed after 3:30. I am entirely free on the weekends. For summer bookings, my availability is wide open as I am on summer break. While I’m not able to host pets in my own home, I am available to care for them in yours. I am able to follow whatever needs your pets have in your home.
“We are so grateful for the care Emma takes while walking our dogs. She is prompt, reliable, and a great communicator! Our dogs love her and look forward to each of her visits. We never have to worry about their health or safety when they’re with Emma!”

She not only handled my babies with soooo much poise and grace but she also made sure that me & my husband didn’t have to worry about anything when it came to our babies. We will DEFINITELY be booking with her for future events and etc. she was amazing and her wife was gorgeous and amazing as well!! Thank you both truly!!??”

“Brittany was such a help giving our pups long walks while we were away at work! Bonus points for being available on short notice a couple times! She was so easy to communicate with and clearly has a love for all animals. I know our dogs really enjoyed their time with Brittany!”

About: I'm an early bird so morning walks are always in; Sir Connor (Rest In Dog Paradise ) he was a shih tzu mixed. He was not neutered, because I wanted grand fur babies at the time. I have fostered over a dozen dogs and a handful of cats. Daisy May was an extra addition to the family while I was fostering a puppy I called Maxwell; Maxwell has been adopted by a caring couple! Daisy May is currently the only dog I have so far. Sitting Schedule: Breakfast is at 10:30. I'm reading on how to train dogs and so treats would be ideal for play time! Dinner is severed at 7:30 I feed twice a day. If I have your dog on the weekend, they get to go on a field trip to Overton Park or Mud Island Dog Park. They also get enrichment time with pet toys and snacks! I also groom on the weekend. I mostly had dogs as pets; I rescued a cat and named him Jeffery and he was adopted by a loving family. If you have more questions feel free to ask me! Thank You! I’m currently working part-time as a caregiver; I’m available after 12:00pm during the week; My weekends are flexible. I’ll be working full time once the school year starts! Daisy May is crate trained; I also have a foster puppy who has his own crate too. I have a doggie gate if separation is needed. My yards are not fenced; I stay on a slow traffic street.
About: Happy to help with commands and training. Loves leisurely walks with tons of stops for your pet to enjoy the outdoors and sunshine. Thanks for considering me. Currently I am doing freelance work. I’m pretty much, available most days and times with a few hours notice. That will most likely change in the future but for now it’s set. I live in an apartment. However I live on a pet friendly property and directly across from a huge park where your pet can play frisbee or catch with me! Also plenty of space to avoid people or other animals if necessary.

- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
