“Lei was absolutely wonderful! Her communication was excellent. I know our pets felt at home with her. She and Chris (her husband, who is retired military) did so much more than taking care of our pets. They also watered my flowers, took our garbage to the street, notified us of a problem with our house. Lei even left the prettiest card accompanied by a tiny bunny and vase of flowers. Thank you, Lei and Chris, for your kindness and attention to detail while we were away)”

“Lidia did such a thorough job feeding our new cat, providing detailed updates after each feeding and generally just being really conscientious in all that she did. Cannot recommend her enough and will definitely use here again!”

“Christopher (Luke) and Hannah did a great job taking care of our cat during their daily check-ins. Our cat normally doesn’t do well with strangers, but she warmed up to them on the very first visit. They communicated frequently and sent pictures/videos every day. They administered her medications correctly, and she was happy and healthy when we returned. Her litter boxes and space were also very well taken care of. I really appreciate how they treated her like one of their own pets, and I would not hesitate to use their services again.”

“Juliana did an excellent job taking care of my dog and 2 cats while I was on vacation for two weeks. She sent me regular updates and photos, and even collected my mail. Juliana was also very patient with my one “scaredy-cat”, Misa. I highly recommend Juliana as a pet sitter!!”

About: Hello, I'm Alex! I am a former Veterinary Technician with 3 years of training, and I've lived around animals my entire life. I have a strong passion for taking care of animals large and small. I am experienced in caring for cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents, insects, and many more! My wife, also named Alex, is a professional dog trainer and photographer. Between the two of us, we have years of knowledge regarding animal behavior and care-giving. We can guarantee that if you book with us, your pet will receive the highest quality comfort and safety. We're currently living in a small, quiet neighborhood just north of Memphis. Our house boasts a spacious backyard, with a gated enclosure for introducing new pets safely! We also have easy access to a patch of forest near our house, multiple small parks, and dog-friendly venues and restaurants! Aside from the usual necessities that every pet needs (food, water, and toys), our home is equipped with a variety of kennels, a secure dog bedroom, two litter boxes, and security cameras to ensure that no pets go unsupervised for too long. Our personal pet family consists of a 2yr old mixed-breed dog, adorable Dutch Shepherd puppy, two playful DSH cats, and two reptiles that live in terrariums. I'm a stay-at-home husband working around the clock to keep the house tidy, so your pets will have 24/7 care and affection! Dogs will receive bathroom breaks every 3 hours, supervised playtime in the morning and afternoon, as well as breakfast and dinner if they stay overnight. If your dog is allowed on furniture, let me know ahead of time and they can watch TV with us on the couch or snuggle up in bed! When I'm not at home, I will be helping my wife train dogs, running errands, or dropping into a client's home to look after their pet. We live in a cozy house with a spacious fenced-in backyard. Dog boarders will be able to play, run around outside, and spend quality time with us during the day. Cat boarders will have their own space to roam on the other side of the house, away from barking or loud noises. All dogs are kept separated in kennels while unsupervised, to minimize accidents and discourage bad behavior. We have experience mitigating and deescalating aggressive pet situations, so your dogs will receive top notch protection and security.

“Damaris gave carr, love and affection to my dog and cat. she stepped up in a pinch when my sitter had a family emergency. Will definitely get het to housesit again!”

“Davis took care of my cats for the second time, and did a wonderful job. I had no worries at all while I was out of town for an extended period of time. He kept me updated about anything I needed to know, relating to supplies running low, or anything else. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again!”

About: I stand apart from other sitters because of the specific strengths you naturally bring to the job the things most sitters overlook but parents value the most. and I will treat your fur babies exactly like I treat mine like the babies they are no matter the size and age. Pet care fits into my routine pretty naturally. Since I work full time Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., I usually handle the essentials after my shift. In the mornings, I make sure pets are fed, let out, and settled. After work, I take care of things like walks, playtime, and any cleaning that needs attention. On weekends, I have more flexibility for longer activities like park time or deeper cleaning. I care for pets in the home by focusing on routine, safety, comfort, and communication. The exact approach depends on the service I offer—pet sitting, dog walking, boarding, drop‑ins, or overnight care—but the core principles stay the same.
About: I own 4 dogs. I love all kinds of animal, even exotic animals (but not a big fan of snakes). I always want to take care of animals, since I was a child I’ve dreamed of being a zoologist. I can help with walking dogs or if the dog needs a bath I will gladly give it one. I will groom and watch tv with the dog, even exercise the dog so when you get back the dog will be tired and ready to lie down and nap so you have to worry. I love dogs and would not harm them in anyway, so please don’t worry. I would love to help people take care of your dogs. I will take care of any needs!! Currently making the move to the Nashville area from Memphis. Looking to do this as a full time job until I can find something more permanent. Would still like to continue to do this as a part time job once I do! I am familiar with walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, and refilling water bowls. My passion for animals leads me to provide the best care possible. I treat every pet like my own and therefore, take care of them as if they were my own.
About: With 7+ years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I’m confident handling everything from large, high-energy breeds to senior pets who need extra patience. I offer overnight care, stick closely to routines, and am comfortable administering medications. I believe pets thrive with consistency, attention, and a calm, confident presence — and that’s exactly what I provide. I have a flexible schedule and am available for weekday and weekend drop-ins, walks, and overnight care. I prefer drop-ins and house sitting, but I can offer boarding for pets that are friendly and comfortable around other animals. I prioritize consistency and plan my day to ensure each pet receives proper attention, exercise, and routine care. I prioritize a safe and structured environment for every pet in my care. Because I have resident animals, I only offer boarding for pets that are friendly and comfortable around other animals. Introductions are done carefully and supervised at all times. Outdoor time is always monitored, and I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and home routines closely. Cleanliness, safety, and clear communication with pet parents are extremely important to me.

About: Back in 2014, I attended Tennessee College of Applied Technology, graduated early with my diploma in Assistance Animal Laboratory Technicians, also with a certification in Purina Mills Animal Care Course. I have done an internship with North Shelby Animal Shelter as well as Bartlett Animal Shelte, where I took stray dogs/ abandoned out for walks and to play. Most of the dogs I encountered with at the shelter were sweet and loving dogs that just need a friend and time to spend with a person. I treated those dogs as my own. I have also intern at University of Tennessee Health and Science Center taking care of rodents, pigs, and other animals. I am someone who is mature, candid and who has integrity. Everyday I work to improve myself and my skills which is part of maturing and becoming better at what I do, this is why I want clients to choose me. I will treat your pets as my own pets. I will love and care for them, as if they where my own.

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, including feeding, walking, and maintaining daily routines. I’m patient, attentive, and focused on making pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I treat every pet like my own and prioritize reliability and clear communication for peace of mind. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I’m already used to planning my day around feeding times, check-ins, and quality time since I have a cat of my own. I’m organized, reliable, and able to accommodate morning and evening visits to ensure pets receive consistent care and attention throughout the day. I follow each pet’s routine closely to keep them comfortable and stress-free. This includes feeding, fresh water, playtime, and keeping their space clean and safe, while giving them attention based on their personality.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities throughout my life. Growing up, I always had a dog in the house, which helped me develop a strong love and understanding of animals from an early age. Friends, family members, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and stay overnight with their pets while they’re away. I genuinely love animals and enjoy making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’ve been asked back multiple times by the families I’ve helped, which reflects the trust and reliability I bring to every pet I care for. Pet care fits well into my daily routine. I currently work part-time cleaning homes and typically finish my workday and return home around 2:00 PM. This gives me plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and overnight care. I am hoping to make pet sitting a larger priority in my schedule and am committed to providing reliable, attentive care for every pet I work with. I make sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while their owners are away. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I treat every fur baby with the same love, attention, and care that I would give my own. I have a friendly pet who can provide companionship if your pet enjoys being around other animals. I understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, and preferences, and I am happy to accommodate specific requests to help them feel comfortable and safe. From feeding schedules and medication administration to extra playtime, walks, or special sleeping arrangements, I strive to provide personalized care that keeps both pets and owners happy.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Locke. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
