About: My love for dogs started when I was just 6 years old when I got my first dog Katie, an Alaskan husky, and it has only grown stronger ever since. From a young age, family friends and neighbors trusted me to care for their beloved pets by walking, feeding, bathing, and giving each one the attention and affection they deserved. I have always treated every dog in my care as if they were my own, and that commitment hasn't changed. Today, I bring that same lifelong passion and hands on experience to every booking. Whether your pup needs a energetic walk, a calm overnight stay, or simply some extra love while you're away, you can count on me to provide attentive, reliable, and compassionate care. Your pet's comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. I am available for walks Monday through Saturday, with a preference for early morning appointments, though I am flexible to accommodate your schedule. I do not offer walking services on Sundays or major federal holidays. If you have any specific instructions, preferred routes, or behavioral notes about your dogs, I welcome that information to make every walk as smooth as possible. When caring for pets in my client's home, my priority is to keep their routine as normal and stress free as possible. I follow the owner's feeding schedule, walking times, and any specific instructions to ensure the pet experiences little to no disruption while they are away. I make sure fresh water is always available, the space is kept tidy, and that each pet receives plenty of attention, playtime, and affection throughout every visit. For dog walking, I take the time to understand each dog's behavior and energy level before heading out, walking up to two dogs at a time from the same litter to keep every outing safe and enjoyable. No matter the service, I treat every pet with the same patience and love I would give my own.
“My dog loves Camille! I’m super thankful she’s been such a good pet sitter for my little Alfred. Camille recently house sat for me, and she was such a respectful sitter. The house was just as clean as when we left, and I’m thankful she’s so good with my dog.”

“Monica did a great job housesitting and watching Baby while I was out of town for a couple of days. My dog was comfortable around her and that helped me relax knowing he was in good hands. I will definitely reach out to her next time I’m looking for a house sitter.”

About: I've had dogs since I was 10 years old. I dog sit for my coworkers and family members. I have a certificate in veterinary assisting and I interned at a veterinary clinic for 2 months where I gained valuable experience with dogs and cats of all ages, I am cpr certified, I can give oral medication and injectable medications like insulin. I currently work at a middle school so I am unavailable Monday-Friday 730am-3pm however after June 4th I am available full time. Right now I can do drop in visits after 3pm on week days and any time on the weekends I rent a room in my friends house but I have a door to the backyard in my room so I have quick access to the yard for playtime or potty breaks. I have one senior dog who does not like to play with other dogs but will be respectful otherwise.

I follow all care instructions closely, maintain your pet’s routine, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment while you’re away.
“Tynesh is an exceptional pet and house sitter and an awesome person. We have boxers and she handled them like the pro she is. She kept us posted and sent photos and videos while we were gone. She also asked questions and had excellent communication skills. We will use Tynesh as often as she is available as she's the absolute best!”

“I think my dogs said it best with their buttons while Shannon was watching them, “happy love you!” Not only did Shannon communicate often, but she sent pictures and videos so I could see just how happy my pups were. They have asked for her by pressing their “Shannon” button every day since she left, so we will definitely be having her over again soon!”

“Very sweet lady! Did a great job watching the house and our pets! Kept in touch with us while we were out of the state. Sent cute pictures of the dogs and cats! I would ask her to housesit/ pet sit again!”

About: I have 3 dogs, the oldest is 16, 7, 3 years old. They are furry family members that we love dearly!!! I can pet sit any age and love to cuddle and also taking them for walks. I have no problem picking up after them. I’m a Trusted Pet Sitter Who Treats Your Dog Like My Own! ❤️ I currently work from home so I can work from anywhere to keep your pups company while you work. Weekends and nights can be discussed. I can pet sit from your home to not make big changes to your best friend that way they can stay in their own environment, caring for them following your specific instructions.
About: Being a pet owner my whole life has allowed me to understand dogs very well! I’ve dealt with bigger breeds like German Shepards and Pitt bulls, smaller breeds have always gotten along well with my demeanor. I have majority of the day to walk or take dogs to a park or allow them to explore the deserts. Let me know your dogs preference of activity. I stick to the rules, let me know what your dogs need or if they have anything that is specific for them that needs to get done!
About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I have experience (professional and personal) with dogs as a veterinary assistant. I am currently working full time with availability on weekends. I’m looking to expand my education in various fields & wish to pay for it myself. I live in an apartment and can easily crate pets 20 pounds and under. I’m comfortable with lots of belly rubs and walking around neighborhoods.
About: I have more 10+ years walking and babysitting young and senior dogs (5 years on Rover). Since I was 7, I cared for dogs, cats, turtles, goldfish, parakeets, chickens, rabbits, and mice. My mom refused to let me have a snake but that definitely would’ve been on my list. I work full time Mondays to Thursdays, but I always make it important to exercise after work. On weekends I am available for walks and drop-ins. I’d be happy to love and care for your dog, and send you pictures of appreciating your dog throughout the day. If you have to leave for a weekend for a holiday or extended vacation, I have experience staying overnight in a client’s home. For drop-in visits I can feed and play with your pet. I can also water your plants or double-check if your AC is off and appliances are unplugged.
About: Animals have always been a part of my life. I've had cats my whole life, including the 4 I own and I grew up with cats and dogs. I regularly take care of my friends and families' pets (including birds and other pets) when they are traveling and out of town, and I'm excited to make some new furry friends in the area. I run my own business from home, so my schedule is very flexible. This means I'm happy to work on your pet's schedule, or even be available as much as they need to hang out and have some company while you are away. I know how to administer medications to cats and dogs and understand senior/special needs pet care as well. I'm happy to send you updates and pictures/videos of your furbabies. I work from home and don't take calls regularly, which means I have flexibility and availability to take care of walks and other things throughout the day easily. Depending on the pet's needs, I work to be as attentive as possible; most people hire someone to be there for their pets because those pets need love and attention. I'm happy to provide that. I'm also happy to give your pet the space they need, given that I'm not you, and meet them where they are at, including them, as it makes the most sense based on temperament and need.

FAQs for House Sitting - Roosevelt
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 277 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Roosevelt. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Roosevelt walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Roosevelt maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Roosevelt choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Roosevelt. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
