“Melissa did a great job. Dogs were happy and cared for. She even watered our flowers. She sent pics if the dogs with updates while we were gone . When we got home it was very much the way we left it . We and the dogs look forward to her next stay .”

“Annie is always great with our senior dog Samson! Happy to be a repeat client of Annie's and to be able to relax while we're traveling with Annie taking such great care of our senior dog and house. Thanks again!”
“Monica did a great job housesitting and watching Baby while I was out of town for a couple of days. My dog was comfortable around her and that helped me relax knowing he was in good hands. I will definitely reach out to her next time I’m looking for a house sitter.”

“Sara was fantastic at taking care of our dogs! She is an incredibly kind person and did phenomenal with random quirks our dogs have with strangers. She sent tons of updates and pictures and in every one our dogs looked relaxed and happy. Will definitely hire her again!”

“What a blessing Chloe was/is for our family. We have never left our pups with anyone other than family. I was definitely more anxious than the dogs. Chloe stayed at our home for two days and nights and my anxiety went away. She communicated with us, took care of our babies (dogs), and our home. She is now part of the family and we will be having her back again. Thank you Chloe for everything.”

About: I live with my husband, son, our funny and gentle Goldendoodle Mowgli, and curious cat Tin Tin, all of us animal lovers who know how to spoil a furry friend. Mowgli loves making new friends and will happily keep your pup playing while you’re away. Our home has a big backyard perfect for zoomies and sniff sessions, plus plenty of cozy spots for naps. Since I work from home full time, your pet will get nonstop attention, and probably a few extra belly rubs. I love taking dogs on neighborhood trail walks, and my husband’s the running buddy your pup never knew they needed. I’m great with all kinds of pets, from bouncy puppies who need patience and playtime to wise senior dogs who deserve gentle care and lots of love. Basically, your pet will get treated like one of the family, and maybe even better! Since I work from home full time, pet care fits naturally into my day. I’m always available to let pups out whenever they need a bathroom break or some fresh air, so they never have to wait long. We typically go on a walk in the evening to get some exercise and enjoy the neighborhood. Mornings and evenings are full of cuddles and quality time, making sure your pet feels loved and comfortable throughout the day. On weekends, we like to take the dogs to the park for some off-leash play or bring them along on car rides for a little adventure. Because I’m home all day, I’m flexible and happy to follow your pet’s usual schedule and special needs, whether that means extra potty breaks, medication, or just some quiet companionship. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. In my home, pets are treated like family and cared for in a safe, loving environment. We have a securely fenced backyard where dogs can roam and play freely. If needed, I can crate pets comfortably for rest or safety. Since I work from home full time, your pet will have constant supervision and attention throughout the day. I follow all feeding and medication instructions carefully and make sure each pet’s routine is respected. We enjoy daily walks and plenty of cuddles in the mornings and evenings. On weekends, we like to take dogs to the park or on car rides for extra fun. I keep my home clean and pet-friendly, and I’m prepared for any emergencies with quick access to a local vet and Rover’s 24/7 support. Above all, your pet will receive personalized care, lots of love, and companionship while you’re away.
“Alyssa did a great job watching our dogs at our house while we were away. You can tell they were well cared for and happy when we got home. She sent at least one update a day with pictures. Will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: Caring for dogs has been a joyful part of my life for over 15 years. Dogs are more then pets to me, they are family. I provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where your pup can truly feel at home. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, cozy naps, or plenty of belly rubs, I make sure each pup gets the attention, comfort, and care they deserve. From doggy day care to overnight boarding, I treat every pet guest like part of the family. Your pup's well-being and comfort is my top priority, and I’m committed to creating a safe place where they can run & play, and feel loved all day. As a full-time pet mom, caring for animals is part of my everyday life — and my greatest joy! I devote my time to playing with, nurturing, and loving your pup as if they were my own. I currently care for my two pets, Luna and Gracie, by feeding them first thing in the morning, taking them for a walk around the neighborhood, and then spending quality time outdoors in our large, fenced front yard. Inside, they have free rein of the house and enjoy a safe, cage-free environment throughout the day. Your fur baby will receive the same level of individual attention, love, and care in my home. While we are a cage-free household, kennels and crates are available upon request to create a restful, secure space for pups who are crate-trained or prefer that environment. I have a large, fully fenced front yard where your pup can run and play safely, along with two friendly small dogs — Luna and Gracie — who will be happy to keep your fur baby company. Inside, there’s a cozy play area with playpens where your dog can rest or play comfortably. If your pup is crate-trained or you prefer it, I’m also happy to crate them upon request to ensure they feel secure and relaxed.

“Lexy is an excellent and dependable dog-sitter! I’m certainly booking her again next time. She gives regular and detailed updates with many photos. My dog is about 80 lbs and causes lots of mischief, and she handled everything with ease. Highly recommend!”

“Hannah was absolutely awesome. This was her second time watching the pups. She took great care of them and the house and sent plenty of pictures and updates. Hannah was quick to respond and followed instructions well. If she was unsure of anything, she reached out. 100% would book again and again. Thank you!”

“Kimberly did a great job. She had to manage two large dogs over three days. The house and the pups were well cared for. I asked Kimberly to abide by some fairly strict rules with the dogs in order to manage their high-energy and potential anxiety and she did an excellent job. Kimberly have our pups multiple daily walks, administered pet medication, and maintained the security of the house. I strongly recommend Kimberly for your pet/house sitting needs.”

“Caitlin was a wonderful sitter for our two dogs. From initial contact to the end of her stay, she was communicative and engaging. I loved the updates she sent throughout and felt at ease knowing our dogs were being taken care of by her. We would definitely book her again in the future.”

“Anika was great and will definitely use her again! She was on time, stayed later than she needed to (I told her she could leave because the dogs would be okay to be alone an hour) she send updates, took pictures, she asked about the dogs paws because it was hot outside and did her own research to see if it was suitable for them to walk and how long. She asked about which treats and which toys for each of my dogs too. A lucky find”

“Shannon was great and took great care of our pet. She actually went above and beyond because we had a really bad rainstorm and developed a leak in our ceiling in one of the bedrooms and she jumped on it and found some buckets to put under there to contain the water. Will definitely use her again and our dog loved her.”

“Jennifer was fantastic looking after my two Bengal cats. She was punctual, extremely responsive and sent photos every day that showed me how comfortable the cats were with her. I’ll definitely be using Jennifer again.”

Sara took excellent care of our little dog. She was very dependable and she was on time for meet and greet as well as the actual day she arrived to watch Annie. She communicated with us about Annie and sent pictures which we appreciated. We hope Sara can take care of Annie on future dates.
Jarely did an exceptional job taking care of my 2 pups! We met up beforehand so she could meet the pups and show her what the expectations for the pups were. She watched, fed, cared for my furbabies as if they were her own. She provided so many pics and videos. Also she responds very quickly. I will definitely be rebooking with her for whenever I go out of town! Thanks so much Jarely! You were amazing!

I knew my doggies were in good hands with Esther. I was able to relax and enjoy my trip. She did a great job house sitting and followed all my instructions. My dogs seemed well cared for and happy when I got home. I especially appreciate the pictures Esther sent every day.

Hannah was absolutely awesome. This was her second time watching the pups. She took great care of them and the house and sent plenty of pictures and updates. Hannah was quick to respond and followed instructions well. If she was unsure of anything, she reached out. 100% would book again and again. Thank you!

Josian was great with our three pups for a week long stay. We have a pretty picky eater that you have to have some patience with, and seemed to eat fine while we were gone! All pups seemed happy and Josian kept us up to date with pictures of our pups while we were gone. Would definitely work with Josian again!

Evan took good care of Balto’s basic needs while I was away and generally stayed for the full 30-minute visits. He kept me updated and handled an unexpected issue getting into the house with a lot of persistence and patience, which I really appreciated. He went out of his way to work through the situation and make sure he was still able to get inside and care for Balto. There was one morning when he arrived later than the scheduled time due to an alarm issue, but thankfully Balto was fine and did not have an accident while waiting to be let out. One thing I learned through the experience is that Evan and Balto may not have been the ideal match in terms of interaction style. Balto is a large but very mellow and affectionate dog who likes to approach people for attention and may give an occasional lick. Evan explained that he sometimes preferred to give Balto a little space when he approached excitedly or tried to lick him. I see this more as a difference in interaction styles and comfort levels rather than an issue with the care Balto received. Overall, I appreciated Evan’s help, communication, and especially his willingness to problem-solve when an unexpected situation came up.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 3,321 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Desert View Highlands. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Desert View Highlands walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Desert View Highlands maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Desert View Highlands choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
