“Elton had a fantastic time! 🖤 She kept me updated throughout the entire booking and sent pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear Elton was well cared for, comfortable, and getting lots of attention. I really appreciated her communication, kindness, and how attentive she was to his needs. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

About: Growing up with dogs, hamsters, fish, turtles has given me years of hands-on animal care experience. I have years of experience caring for outdoor potty-trained dogs, house-trained dogs, puppies using potty pads. I also have experience with both energetic puppies & senior dogs. I provide patient, attentive care tailored to each dog(s) unique personality & needs. When caring for your dog(s), I prioritize safety, routine, comfort. I follow instructions closely & aim to ensure every dog(s) feels secure, relaxed, well cared for while you’re away. As a full-time college student engaged in online classes, my schedule allows me the flexibility to be at home throughout the day. This allows me to dedicate ample time for play, walks, & affectionate interaction with your dog/dogs in my care. Additionally, I am the loving owner of a sociable small dog that is well-behaved & enjoys the company of other well-behaved canines. Your dog's safety, comfort, well-being are always my absolute top priorities. Summer & Weather Safety Walks To protect your pup from overheating, dehydration & painful paw pad burns, walks are strictly scheduled during the coolest parts of the day. Please use Rover's broad booking windows, noting my precise walking schedule below: • Morning Walks (5:00 AM – 7:00 AM Only) Please select Rover's 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM option. (Note: To beat the morning heat, 7:00 AM is my absolute safety cutoff for walks). • Evening Walks (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Only) Please select Rover's 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM option. (Note: Walks will only begin after 6:00 PM once the pavement has cooled down safely). Thank you for partnering with me to prioritize your pup’s health & hydration! Health & Hygiene Standards To maintain a clean, safe, stress-free environment for all pets in my care, I require all furry guests to meet basic hygiene standards: • Cleanliness: Dogs should arrive fully groomed, well-brushed, bathed, free of strong odors & nails trimmed. • Parasite-Free: All pets must be 100% free of fleas, ticks & contagious conditions. • Note: Pet wipes & sprays are great for touch-ups, but they do not replace necessary baths. To ensure a perfect match for everyone, basic health & hygiene will be verified during our initial Meet & Greet.

About: I have taken care of animals since I was 14. I have loved animals since I was born and am able to administer medications and also insulin if needed. My first pet sitting actually involved small farm animals too! I work at Yard house, a restaurant in the Palmdale valley. While I can work late hours I will always make sure your animal’s care comes first and foremost. I currently do not have my own home as I am renting a room. I sadly am not able to offer board and care in my own home at this time.
“Monica stayed at our home with our fur babies (2 dogs and 3 cats) for a few days over the 4th of July this year and she was amazing. She send us lots of updates, photos and videos throughout her stay, and made sure we knew they were all doing well. We were so nervous about leaving our babies over the holiday with all the fireworks, but she handled their medication and let them snuggle with her and ensured they were safe. So grateful for her and will definitely use her again!”

“Brenda was great with my animals and I was able to enjoy my time away knowing they were being well cared for. I would highly recommend her. I look forward to her caring for my pets in my home in the future.”

“Monica is awesome, very loving to all 3 of my animals and we were able to relax even though one of our doggies was not well we knew she was taking very good care of him. I would definitely have her come care for them again.”

“Lincoln had a great time with Alyssa who took excellent care of him and the house. She left the house spotless and it was such a treat to come home to a happy doggo and a clean home. Would love to have her back in the future.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog and cat received! From the start, Yeilin was reliable, communicative, professional, and clearly loves animals. Our dog was happy, well-exercised, and relaxed when we came home, and our cat, who can be quite difficult was calm and content. Yeilin provided great communication throughout the entire experience, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It’s such a relief knowing our pets were treated like family. We highly recommend Yeilin's services to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional pet sitter. Five stars all the way!”

“Danielle was the perfect match for my fur babies. She was calm, quiet, and unfazed, even when my one pup wouldn't stop barking at her. She has lots of experience with giving medications, and had no qualms caring for my dog who has seizures...administering medication 12 hours apart, and being comfortable assisting him if he had one (thankfully he didn't). Danielle had my critters feeling so comfortable that the barker even warmed up to her, and let her love on him, after just one overnight visit (that's saying a lot, since he doesn't warm up to many people). She took photos and shared them with me, and kept me up to date on how the animals were fairing. Not only did Danielle make sure my pets were well cared for, but she took time to care for my home, as well, by fixing a toilet that kept running...now that's great service! If you are looking for someone to house or pet sit, or both, you could not pick anyone better. She will be my go-to house/pet sitter from now on.”

“Jessica is the BEST! It was the first time having somebody take care of our dog, and my wife and I were really nervous at first, but after meeting Jessica, we knew our dog was in great hands. She texted us with updates, pictures, and communicated with us the entire time. We will definitely have Jessica watch our dog in the future. Thank you, Jessica!”

“Sara was fantastic at taking care of our dogs! She is an incredibly kind person and did phenomenal with random quirks our dogs have with strangers. She sent tons of updates and pictures and in every one our dogs looked relaxed and happy. Will definitely hire her again!”

“Josian took care of 3 of my dogs, while staying at my home. The house was exactly how we left it, he even made the bed and did a load of dishes. As for the care of my dogs, I came back home to happy and healthy babies. He did great at taking care of 3 dogs ages elderly to puppy. I give him props for taking care of my belgian malinois mix puppy. Regular pictures and updates were given. I will for sure be using Josian again in the future!”

As of September 2026, there are 6,109 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Leona Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Leona Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Leona Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Leona Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
