“Venessa was taking care of our two Cat's during holidays and everything she did was fantastic. Her love towards taking personal care with them and making sure every visit she made had a time to play with them and nurture them during our absence.”

“Rachel was just great!! She followed all of our pet care requests with no issue and was very responsive! She sent pictures of our cats and gave a reassuring update that they are doing well!! We will totally book her again!”

“Bradlei was quick in her responses to my request and was willing to take my request on such short notice. She asked the right questions and even took notes during our meeting to ensure as little discomfort to kitty as possible while I was out. Her updates were timely and clear, and she took initiative to take care of an unexpected sickness/clean up that we had not discussed beforehand.”

About: I’ve taken care of senior dogs who had trouble seeing and walking, cleaned up after them, and handled puppies as young as 1 week old. I’ve worked with dogs ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes, so no pet is too small or too big for me. I work part time so my availability changes week to week depending on my shifts, but I always know my schedule in advance so I’ll be upfront with you about when I’m available before we book anything. Pet care is something I take seriously so I make sure I’m not overcommitting if I say I’m available, I mean it. On days I’m not working I’m pretty much free for most of the day. Morning and evening availability is usually the most consistent for me regardless of whether I have a shift. I’ll always communicate with you ahead of time if anything changes and I’m not the type to leave you hanging last minute. I care for my own cat Simba daily, keeping him engaged and comfortable, the same attention and energy I’ll bring to your pet. In your home I’ll handle feeding, playtime, cleaning up any messes, and anything else your pet needs.

“Margaret is the best the sitter I've come across on this app. So attentive and keeps me updated. Such a peace of mind to have someone like her watching my babies. 100% recommend.”

“During the meet and greet, Blue took an instant liking to Kisha which was great to see. Kisha sent us pictures for every visit and we felt very confident that Blue was in good hands. This was our first time using a service like this and Kisha made the experience a positive one and we look forward to using Kisha in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was a baby, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’ve always been the trusted friend or family member to pet sit, and I truly love animals. I’m patient, caring, and enjoy making every dog feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether we’re relaxing at home or enjoying a nature walk, I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own. currently work as an Amazon delivery driver four days a week and teach virtual English classes on weekend mornings. I have three days off each week and am available for dog walks on those days, as well as before or after work when possible. I love being outdoors and enjoy giving dogs fun, safe, and active walks. I have a large, fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and explore. I also have a friendly, well-socialized dog if your pup enjoys having company. Whether you’d prefer your dog stay at my home or be cared for in the comfort of yours, I’m happy to accommodate your preferences. I’m very flexible and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved.
“Caraline took excellent care of my two boys while I was out on a much longer day than they’re used to. They took to her right away at the meet-and-greet and she’s clearly a dog person. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Caraline again. Also, she’s a great communicator and her post-visit notes were very thorough. It was also a last-minute booking and she responded right away to my request and was able to accommodate us.”

About: I love animals and respect their personalities. I amaze people with how quickly their pets open up to me and fall in love with me. Your pet will be excited to see me and I will treat them with all the care they deserve I used to take care of my dog every day. We played a game with her every day, including hide-and-seek which I trained her to play. I used to have a cat for years but sadly my wife is allergic I am careful to respect a pet’s boundaries and don’t come on too strong. I pay close attention to the signals they give me and it helps me quickly get familiar with them and have them cuddling up to me in no time.
“Claire was great at communicating during our meet and greet and in our texts leading up to her visit. From her photos while she cat sit for my two cats, they were well fed and got plenty of play. Everything was in great order when I came home, and Claire is someone I will definitely try to use again.”

“The moment I met Amanda I could tell it was a great fit for our puppy as she was kind and calm mannered. We just got our puppy a week ago and she came to drop in on our girl 2 times a day. She always provides me with pictures and detailed reports of her visits with Noa. I highly recommend her and will definitely be working with Amanda again and look forward to her visits!”

“Carlen was great! She helped ease our minds by doing meet and greets prior to the booking and was very flexible when we needed to modify plans the day before. Happy our girls were in good hands with her!”

“This was my first time using this app and I am very happy that me and my wife chose Samantha! We have a diabetic cat, so one of the criterias that we were looking for was medicine injections, that's why we chose Samantha to come to drop-in visits two times a day- morning and evening. We couldn't be more right by choosing her! She went on and beyond, she was very patient with Lelouch, it took him around 4-5 days to warm up to her, but all this time Samantha was able to give his insulin shots anyways! She updated us every visit and responded to us quickly. We would definitely request Samantha to help us again with Lelouch in the future!”

Bradlei was so great! I'm very happy I chose her to watch my lil "special needs" cat Oliver! He needs his heart meds daily and she was able to make sure he took em! Bradlei kept in touch with me daily, sent the best pix of Oliver and kept his space tidy! I would definitely recommend and use Bradlei again in the future... Thank you so much again! 🧡😺

Kristen was wonderful! She went above and beyond the tasks we gave her. She stayed with our kitties and was so considerate when she noticed that a critter got into our garbage bags. She did not have to clean the mess up but she did anyway. Being a first-time Rover user, Kristen put our minds at ease when we were so stressed out this past weekend. We will definitely call her back again! Thank you so much Kristen ❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
