Availability
I work part time so my availability changes week to week depending on my shifts, but I always know my schedule in advance so I’ll be upfront with you about when I’m available before we book anything. Pet care is something I take seriously so I make sure I’m not overcommitting if I say I’m available, I mean it. On days I’m not working I’m pretty much free for most of the day. Morning and evening availability is usually the most consistent for me regardless of whether I have a shift. I’ll always communicate with you ahead of time if anything changes and I’m not the type to leave you hanging last minute.

A typical day
A typical day starts with making sure your pet is fed and comfortable. From there it really depends on the pet, if it’s a dog I’ll take them outside for a walk or let them run around and get some energy out. I like to actually engage with the animals I watch instead of just sitting on my phone, so whether that’s playing fetch, tug of war, or just sitting with them while they explore, I’m down for whatever they’re feeling that day. For cats I’ll find ways to keep them stimulated. I do this with my own cat Simba so I know how to keep them entertained even when they’re being picky about it. Feather toys, watching birds outside, just hanging around them so they feel comfortable. At the end of the day I make sure they’re settled, fed, and that everything is clean before I leave or before bed if I’m house sitting.

I’ve taken care of senior dogs who had trouble seeing and walking, cleaned up after them, and handled puppies as young as 1 week old. I’ve worked with dogs ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes, so no pet is too small or too big for me.
