“Rachel was just great!! She followed all of our pet care requests with no issue and was very responsive! She sent pictures of our cats and gave a reassuring update that they are doing well!! We will totally book her again!”

“Bradlei has been amazing! My dog takes a while to warm up to new people and she’s not only been kind, but patient and understanding to his needs. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to have their fur babies taken care of without having to worry!”

“Kelly is amazing, she leaves a detailed report of her visit and sends amazing photos. My energetic golden retriever is so happy when Kelly comes by. I highly recommend Kelly and trust her taking good care of my sweet dog.”

“We were going to our family reunion and didn’t want Jojo to make that trip. He’s getting older and the ride would probably be uncomfortable for it. Vanessa was awesome with Jojo and we were comfortable with her from the very beginning. While we were out of town we were at peace knowing Jojo was being cared for. I wish I had known about Rover before because having someone like Vanessa was a life saver. Vanessa was the great. Thank you so much.”

About: I’ve taken care of senior dogs who had trouble seeing and walking, cleaned up after them, and handled puppies as young as 1 week old. I’ve worked with dogs ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes, so no pet is too small or too big for me. I work part time so my availability changes week to week depending on my shifts, but I always know my schedule in advance so I’ll be upfront with you about when I’m available before we book anything. Pet care is something I take seriously so I make sure I’m not overcommitting if I say I’m available, I mean it. On days I’m not working I’m pretty much free for most of the day. Morning and evening availability is usually the most consistent for me regardless of whether I have a shift. I’ll always communicate with you ahead of time if anything changes and I’m not the type to leave you hanging last minute. I care for my own cat Simba daily, keeping him engaged and comfortable, the same attention and energy I’ll bring to your pet. In your home I’ll handle feeding, playtime, cleaning up any messes, and anything else your pet needs.
“I came home to a healthy, happy cat I recently adopted as a stray. Annie's communication, photos and care were superlative! Count me as a repeat customer of both Annie as a caregiver and Rover.com as an online service. As an added bonus, Lucky is no longer eager to go outside.”

“During the meet and greet, Blue took an instant liking to Kisha which was great to see. Kisha sent us pictures for every visit and we felt very confident that Blue was in good hands. This was our first time using a service like this and Kisha made the experience a positive one and we look forward to using Kisha in the future.”

“Margaret was so good with my cat Jack, and she was super helpful watching him on short notice. Very communicative and cares about the pets and the owners peace of mind. Will request her assistance in the future. Thank you!”

“Heather was absolutely wonderful! She responded quickly and was able to stop by on just a few hours' notice, which was such a relief. She took great care of my dogs and kept me updated throughout. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. I’m so grateful for her flexibility and care—definitely someone I’ll be booking again!”

“Thank you so much!!! The photos were so good and cute! First time leaving him alone in the house and I felt so much better knowing he was having a great time - even in this heat wave! Would absolutely recommend to anyone who needs a pet sitter”

“We needed a last minute sitter to come visit our mini dachshunds while we were on vacation and Caroline was great! She made all our check in’s and included pictures every time. Thank you Caroline for looking over our pups while we were away !”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
