“Margaret is the best the sitter I've come across on this app. So attentive and keeps me updated. Such a peace of mind to have someone like her watching my babies. 100% recommend.”

“Rachel was just great!! She followed all of our pet care requests with no issue and was very responsive! She sent pictures of our cats and gave a reassuring update that they are doing well!! We will totally book her again!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Annie! She has taken care of my cat several times now and she is amazing with him. She is punctual and attentive, and always sends the cutest photos to me and notes on how my cat is doing each day I was away. I hate leaving my cat for any period of time alone, but Annie made me feel like my cat was being well cared for each day she came to check in on him. Thank you so much! Highly recommend! 😊”

“We were going to our family reunion and didn’t want Jojo to make that trip. He’s getting older and the ride would probably be uncomfortable for it. Vanessa was awesome with Jojo and we were comfortable with her from the very beginning. While we were out of town we were at peace knowing Jojo was being cared for. I wish I had known about Rover before because having someone like Vanessa was a life saver. Vanessa was the great. Thank you so much.”

About: I’ve taken care of senior dogs who had trouble seeing and walking, cleaned up after them, and handled puppies as young as 1 week old. I’ve worked with dogs ranging from Chihuahuas to Great Danes, so no pet is too small or too big for me. I work part time so my availability changes week to week depending on my shifts, but I always know my schedule in advance so I’ll be upfront with you about when I’m available before we book anything. Pet care is something I take seriously so I make sure I’m not overcommitting if I say I’m available, I mean it. On days I’m not working I’m pretty much free for most of the day. Morning and evening availability is usually the most consistent for me regardless of whether I have a shift. I’ll always communicate with you ahead of time if anything changes and I’m not the type to leave you hanging last minute. I care for my own cat Simba daily, keeping him engaged and comfortable, the same attention and energy I’ll bring to your pet. In your home I’ll handle feeding, playtime, cleaning up any messes, and anything else your pet needs.

About: From my first family dog at 5 to taking care of my grandparents dogs growing up, I have taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I have easily spent more time with them, than without. I was a friends go to for taking care of their Boston Terrier when they went on vacation in my teenage years, and more recently I have been the same for a carefree Husky and loving Rottie mix during longer family vacations, and soon a pair of awesome sibling Samoyeds. I am currently in an off year for school, so I have the privilege of having open availability. I used to work overnights so I tend to be awake late in the evening, but am not against pet care earlier in the day. I am a very patient and caring person and I understand your relationship with your dog is important. With that said I am willing to accommodate the needs of your pet and you. Whether they need plenty of playtime, affection, or guidance, I am more than excited to provide.

About: I’ve been caring for animals my whole life and have pet sat for my uncle’s dogs, cats, and ferrets since I was young. I have experience with small and medium-sized dogs, including senior dogs, as my own dog is 14 years old. I understand the patience and extra care older pets need. I’m a huge animal lover, have attended pet expos for years, and even cared for a bearded dragon. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m currently a nursing student looking to earn some extra income while in school by doing something I truly enjoy—caring for animals. My current job only schedules me occasionally, so I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days of the week, including weekdays and many weekends. I’m happy to work around your schedule to provide reliable, loving care for your pets. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, or just some extra attention while you’re away, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for every visit. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. I treat every animal like they are my own by making sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for. I walk my own dog almost daily, and on days when walks aren’t possible, I give her extra playtime and attention while respecting her limits as a senior pup! I always make sure she has fresh water, especially on hot days, and that she gets the care and companionship she needs. For drop-ins and walks, I will provide a safe environment, plenty of attention, and updates so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.
“Heather took such great care of our pups while we were gone for the day! Adorable photos and a very detailed report. We feel wet comfortable leaving our pups with Heather.”

“Kisha was very attentive and caring for my teenage cat and actively updated me while I was out which was appreciated! She was kind enough to care for my cat on very short notice and was very easy to work with! My cat is usually very jumpy around people, but upon meeting Kisha he was instantly drawn to her. She also gave great advice when I asked about recommendations to make him more comfortable.”

“Katie is so good to our River! She goes above and beyond during her visits. I feel so much better about leaving River while we're at work since their visits together started. Highly recommend Katie!”

Pets are a member of a family and should be treated as such!
“We have used Christopher a couple times for our two labs and they love him. He is always prompt and takes beautiful photos to share. This time was a last minute request and we are so thankful for his help! We will not hesitate to use him again.”

“Bradlei was so great! I'm very happy I chose her to watch my lil "special needs" cat Oliver! He needs his heart meds daily and she was able to make sure he took em! Bradlei kept in touch with me daily, sent the best pix of Oliver and kept his space tidy! I would definitely recommend and use Bradlei again in the future... Thank you so much again! 🧡😺”

“Ashely came by to do a meet and greet a few days before taking care of Kali which was so helpful for me to show her around the house. She followed all of my instructions and Kali was very happy with her! Will definitely be going back to her as needed☺️🥰”

“Kat is AWESOME! If you need a dog person, definitely use Kat. She is the best! We recently relocated to the area and need a dog sitter. I interviewed several people and Kat was hands down the best!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
