“It’s difficult for me to find the words for this review. While we were away one of our dogs had a medical emergency. Because of Bill’s dedication, careful monitoring, and experience I was able to get home in time to say goodbye to my boy. Without Bill and his care for our fur babies I would not have made it home in time and my boy would have been in prolonged pain and stress. As well as sound decision making he then made sure our other dog was emotionally supported by spending an extended amount of time with her until we could get home. Bill remained in constant communication with us, our emergency contact, and the medical staff. His exceptional communication skills helped us orient ourselves to the seriousness and make informed decisions from an ocean away. He went well above and beyond his job description of being a dog sitter and was just an incredible person and support. Bill is the standard for pet care and is the best option for owners who deeply value their pets.”

I've had pets since childhood; dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, lizards, bunnies, fish, ferrets, and turtles. Most of my pets are rescued. I'm a great dog walker- I will take your dog for a lengthy walk, (or a slow stroll for my older clients) and I will provide him/her with attention, love, and affection. According to their needs, I can sit with your pet to offer comfort and companionship, or romp around on the floor or in the yard for exercise and stimulation. My visits can be tailored to your requests. I'm reliable, trustworthy, and committed. Your pet's health and safety come first. I will take pictures during my visits (or videos, if you'd like) so you know your pet is being cared for. If you have a cat, I will bring toys for stimulating activity, or simply sit with him/her and offer a comforting presence. I also care for gerbils, hamsters, bunnies, birds, and turtles. It all depends on your pet's needs. I cater to their behavior and energy. If you have other pets in your home (gerbils, fish, turtles, bunnies, birds, etc) I would consider caring for them during your vacations. All to be discussed and negotiated, of course. As you can see from my profile, I'm very accommodating and flexible, and I offer a wide range of services. For overnight visits, my rate reflects a time frame from 8pm-7am. About: I am very open in my schedule and absolutely love dogs. I have grown up with at least one dog in my home my whole life and now own my own black lab mix. To me, pets are family! I have been a nanny for many years and all of the families have also had dogs that I would take care of simultaneously. I also worked for a few families to care for their dogs in the past assisting with feedings, play time, and walks. I have some experience training using a clicker as I have trained my own dog and know of little tricks. Dogs brighten up my day and I love being around them whenever I can. I also only do walks on sidewalks or non busy roads when possible.

About: I've owned many dogs, a few cats, goats, a sheep, and a ferret over the past 25 years. Except for the goats, they were all rescue animals. I'm good at managing conflict between dogs. I work remotely 3 weeks out of the month where I mostly set my own hours which allows me to take care of pets in a house sitting arrangement I only house sit so I will keep dogs on a lease at all times unless there is a fenced in yard. I'm good at preventing sneaky cats from escaping.
