About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and truly love caring for them! I have hands-on experience with a variety of breeds, including Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Bernedoodles, and German Shepherds. I understand the unique personalities and needs of each dog of all ages and make it my mission to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved while in my care. Whether it’s playtime, long walks, or just a cozy cuddle session, I treat every dog like my own. You can trust that your pup will be in warm, reliable, and capable hands! As a teacher, my schedule becomes much more flexible after June 17th when the school year ends. I babysit on Tuesdays, but aside from that, my days are open for walks, drop-ins, or overnight care. I’m excited to dedicate more of my time this summer to spending quality time with pets and providing dependable, loving care whenever needed. I provide a safe, loving, and calm environment for all pets in my care. I have a fully fenced-in yard where dogs can safely play and stretch their legs, and there’s a beautiful park just a short walk away for fun walks and exercise. Whether in my home or yours, I follow your pet’s routine, provide plenty of affection and supervision, and make sure they feel secure. I also send regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

About: I have solid pet care experience — in my own home and staying at owners' homes to care for pets and houses. I have cared for dogs, cats, and even farm animals over the years. I live in a large house with two fully fenced yards, a seasonal pool, and walking trails nearby, so pets have plenty of room to run, relax, or explore on leash. I also have two dogs of our own, Loki (7) and Nelly (14), both friendly, well-behaved 50lb mixed breeds — Loki's a bit more active, Nelly's calm and sweet. They may bark when someone new arrives but warm up fast, so we know how to help nervous pets settle in. Whether it's an active young dog or a senior who needs a gentler routine, I tailor the care to fit. Pet care is woven into my everyday life. I work from home, so I'm around throughout the day for feeding, potty breaks, and attention — not squeezing visits in around a job. My own dogs are let out into the fenced yard at least 4-5 times a day, right from the front door, and I take them on a walk daily. With two fenced yards, a pool, and trails nearby, pets get plenty of room to play and explore. Because I'm home consistently, sitting jobs fit naturally into my day — your pet gets frequent check-ins and a routine that doesn't feel rushed. I take pet care in my home very seriously — I consider pets family, and the top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and at ease from the moment they arrive. My main focus is hosting sits in my own home, but I'm also open to sitting at a client's home nearby. I have done several sits in other people's homes, and I take that responsibility seriously: I make it a priority to learn a pet's routine — feeding times, walk schedules, favorite spots, any quirks — and stick to it closely so there's as little disruption as possible. I'm also a respectful guest in someone else's home, treating the space and belongings with care, just as I would want someone to treat mine. Whether it's my place or yours, pets get consistent routine and full attention.
“Ann was wonderful! We felt 100% comfortable knowing our Tillie (our cat) was in good hands while we were away. Ann was consistently on time, stayed for quite a while, and provided great daily updates. We’d love to have Ann over again.”

“Robert was fantastic! He was reliable, communicative, and took great care of Nelly while I was away. I really appreciated the updates and knowing she was in good hands made it so much easier to relax and enjoy my trip. Nelly seemed happy and comfortable with him, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. I’d absolutely recommend Robert to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and I’ll definitely be reaching out to him again in the future!”

“Thank you Alison for taking great care of my cats while I was gone. You made my day on vacation by sending me photos of Kaylee and Zuko. I knew they would be in good hands by your caring and sweet personality… I will definitely use you in the future and I will also recommend you to others Thank you again….”

“Kayla took care of our cat CeCe while we were away. She followed all instructions and was able to send us a picture of our shy cat. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Ashley was very attentive and great in communicating and keeping us updated with the walks and check ins while we were away. They were well care for and left us at ease. The doggie report card and updates were very positive.”

“I was very happy with the wonderful care Amanda gave our 2 cats while we were on vacation. She gave extra time to play with them. Sent me pictures of the cats everyday. Amanda asked before she left the house if their was anything else she could do for us. Amanda is very caring and responsible, I highly recommend her services. I will definitely have her care for my cats again in the future. Thank you Amanda…”

“Absolutely amazing. My dogs usually take a few visits for them to feel comfortable but within 10 minutes Luna was kissing her and within 30 minutes General was off leash and not paying any attention. He took treats from her no problem.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats in my house since I was born and I’ve always been a part of walking, feeding, bathing, playing with, and giving meds to them. I have taken care of my dog who is elderly, has worn diapers and has experienced surgery and anesthetics. I really enjoy being around animals of all kinds! I only work about 1-3 hourly per day! I’m always around to hang out and play with pets. I always will have someone around the pets so they’ll never be alone. About: I have always had a love for dogs (and all animals really!). I have been training and caring for my own dogs for over 15 years of my life. I have experience with special needs dogs (my own dog is deaf and I have had a deaf/blind dog in the past), I love to offer basic puppy and obedience training, multi dog walks and hiking adventures! I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments. I use positive only methods and believe that all dogs deserve quality enrichment that lets them just be themselves. I currently work from home but my schedule is very open and flexible. I spend a good amount of my day training my own dogs, providing enrichment and play with them on a daily basis and would love the opportunity to provide the same for your pup! When walking dogs, I do prefer that connectors are used for everyone’s safety and comfort and can provide them if needed! Any instructions left will be followed and I am willing to work with any training you are already doing with your pups to ensure smooth situations for all.
About: I grew up with two small dogs and have had dogs in my family my entire life. I sit my friends dog days at a time and care for her as I would my own. I also have a new puppy who keeps my very busy! My schedule is very scattered and never the same. If I can make it work I will! Sitting dogs does not only prove my love for dogs but also keeps me busy. I enjoy the walks just as much as the dogs :) I live a big quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks. I have a big yard that can be used for playing and running around. I will make sure your pet is walked, fed, played with, loved, and brought out to use the bathroom. I believe crates are important and could be used. Also bathing could be completed, as needed.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with professional experience working in veterinary care, as well as previous experience walking dogs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats of all ages, from playful puppies and energetic adults to seniors who need a little extra patience and attention. I especially enjoy dog walking because I love getting outside, giving pets some enrichment and exercise, and seeing how happy they are afterward. Of course I’m here for the puppy kisses and cuddles too! My veterinary experience has given me experience with a variety of pets and their individual needs, including administering oral medications and topical medications. I also have personal experience caring for a deaf dog, so I understand the importance of adapting communication and care to each pet. I’m comfortable walking dogs up to 100 lbs and have some basic training knowledge that I can incorporate into everyday interactions. I believe consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement go a long way. My goal is to provide dependable daytime walks and drop-in visits while giving your pets the same patience, attention, and affection I would want for my own. I’ll treat your pets like individuals, respect their routines, and make sure they get plenty of love and attention while you’re away. I have spent the past 2.5 years dog walking under companies in Boston. I now work at a vet clinic as a receptionist. I miss spending my time outdoors and the hands on experience I gain with dog walking! I have experience with dogs with special needs (deafness blindness and some medical issues). I also have basic experience with training and dogs with behavioral difficulties. I have learned a lot about body language throughout the years and love to get a dog’s brain working on a walk to make it more enriching. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! I’m an animal lover with professional veterinary experience and previous experience working as a dog walker. I enjoy spending time with animals and getting to know their individual personalities and routines. I’m especially interested in daytime dog walks and drop-in visits on my available days. I’m dependable, attentive, and comfortable caring for dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. My goal is always to make sure your pet gets the exercise, enrichment, attention, and affection they need while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Because of my veterinary background, I’m familiar with paying attention to changes in behavior, appetite, energy, and overall wellbeing, and I take each pet’s individual needs seriously. For walks and drop-ins, I follow your instructions and your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I’m careful about doors, gates, leashes, and other potential escape risks, and I’ll make sure your home is left secure and tidy after each visit. I’m also comfortable administering oral and topical medications when needed. Before caring for a new pet, I like to learn about their personality, routines, triggers, and anything else that will help me provide safe and comfortable care.

Bill has been caring for our 3 pups for nearly 3 years! To our three pups he is.... Uncle Bill! They get so excited and happy to see him every time he comes to see them whether it is for a quick or extended visit! They are so very comfortable with him!! Bill is by far one of the best friends our pups have and we fully trust him in caring for them when we are away and our house. You would truly be lucky to have Bill care for your furbabies!
Chantal R. did a great job with our cat, Miracle. She came every day and maintained contact with my wife and I re. her. Miracle responded very well to Chantal from the meet & greet followed by the drop in visits. We were very pleased with her care for Miracle and will definitely consider her in the future. Overall, an excellent job.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
