“Jackie is just awesome. She is reliable, very friendly, and has the patience to let my shy little nipper warm up to her slowly. Her flexibility is just what we needed, too. She takes her work seriously, and is clearly interested in learning as much as she can about how our doggies think and feel. We feel very lucky to have found Jackie!”

“I was very happy with the wonderful care Amanda gave our 2 cats while we were on vacation. She gave extra time to play with them. Sent me pictures of the cats everyday. Amanda asked before she left the house if their was anything else she could do for us. Amanda is very caring and responsible, I highly recommend her services. I will definitely have her care for my cats again in the future. Thank you Amanda…”

“As my first experience with April caring for Nova, I am already at ease. I am very particular about my pup and I can already tell I’ve lucked out with April. Thank you! 💜🐾”

“Nicole was extremely reliable and professional and I will definitely reach out to her again next time I need cat sitter. My elderly cat is sweet, but also a bit moody at times, and Nicole did an amazing job at helping my cat naturally come out of her shell and feel safe. The photo updates Nicole sent were also great and really set my mind at ease.”

“Kayla did a fantastic job, she met Zesus before the scheduled sitting. Provided a few amazing pictures while I was away. And went above and being when something came up. Couldn't recommend her enough!”

“Rachel is fantastic! We knew we were in good hands starting with the meet and greet. Really took time to get to know us and our pup Tony. Very responsive and flexible regarding our plans, and patient and helpful! Then for the day of the walk she provided updates about our dog and I know they had a great time together! Our dog was in excellent spirits when we returned. We were nervous since we hadn’t had a walker come in years, but all fears were put aside with Rachel. Can’t recommend enough. She brings passion and care to her work!”

“Katie always does such a good job taking care of my fur babies while I’m away. She treats them as they were her own. I feel comfortable & confident they’re getting the best care.”

About: I have been a dog owner (small. medium, large, house and sporting breeds) for 55 years and cat owner for 10 years. It is my passion to now take care of others pet needs. I am now retired and have plenty of time to help other manage the love of their pets when they are not available to do so. I cannot take care of pets in my home at this time. I rent and have 3 pets, significant other, a daughter and a grandson in the house.

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life since I was a baby, mostly large dogs so I know how to handle them and care for them. I’m able to administer medication if necessary, and I’m patient and attentive, so I can make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable and loved while you’re away. I understand each pet has their own personality and routine, so I always follow owners instructions carefully to minimize stress and keep things consistent. I currently work full time as a bartender, so my mornings and early afternoons are totally open for any care. Nights are a little harder as I get out pretty late. I have 3 cats of my own, I have to administer medication to one of them twice a day, and monitor his litter box use as he has chronic urinary blockages. I am able to feed, clean litter, walk and play with clients pets.
About: I’ve been the primary caregiver for my own dog, Nelson, and my family cat, Luna, for the past seven years. In addition, I started my own dog walking business over three years ago and have had the opportunity to care for dogs with all kinds of personalities and energy levels. I’m comfortable administering medications with clear instructions, following detailed care routines, and making sure every pet receives the attention they deserve. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pets the same way you do, you’ve come to the right place. Whether it’s an energetic puppy, a senior dog who needs a slower pace, or a cat who simply wants a calm companion while you’re away, I believe every animal deserves to be treated like family. I’m currently working toward a career in veterinary medicine by completing my pre-veterinary coursework. This fall I’ll be returning to school part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting. My goal isn’t just to watch your pet—it’s to become someone both you and your pet are excited to see again. Nothing means more to me than earning your trust and building lasting relationships with the families I work with. When you return home, I want you to feel completely confident that your pet was cared for with kindness, patience, and genuine love every single day. Although I’m unable to board pets in my own home, I have experience providing overnight house sitting and in-home pet care. I know how important it is for many pets to stay in the comfort of their own environment, and I’m always happy to care for them where they feel safest. Most importantly, I understand that when you leave your pet with someone, you’re placing an incredible amount of trust in them. I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, happy, loved, and receiving the same level of care they’re used to at home.

“Jenna is very responsive and attentive to all details provided. She takes excellent care of the dogs and ensures they get plenty of exercise for when she comes over and visits. Jenna really took the time to learn about the pups and continues to engage with them the whole time she is with them. This is my second time booking Amanda. Amanda checked in on my cats while I was away in vacation. She did a great job! I got pictures, updates and information about meal time. Litter boxes looked great. My mind was at ease the whole time I was away as I knew my pets were in great hands with Amanda.

Bill has been caring for our 3 pups for nearly 3 years! To our three pups he is.... Uncle Bill! They get so excited and happy to see him every time he comes to see them whether it is for a quick or extended visit! They are so very comfortable with him!! Bill is by far one of the best friends our pups have and we fully trust him in caring for them when we are away and our house. You would truly be lucky to have Bill care for your furbabies!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
