“Rachel is fantastic! We knew we were in good hands starting with the meet and greet. Really took time to get to know us and our pup Tony. Very responsive and flexible regarding our plans, and patient and helpful! Then for the day of the walk she provided updates about our dog and I know they had a great time together! Our dog was in excellent spirits when we returned. We were nervous since we hadn’t had a walker come in years, but all fears were put aside with Rachel. Can’t recommend enough. She brings passion and care to her work!”

About: Hi! I’m a fun, energetic 22-year-old animal lover who has grown up around dogs my entire life and now has a 1-year-old cat who is truly my best friend 🐾 I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities—walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of love. Being a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether it’s an active pup or a cuddly cat, your pet will get plenty of attention, patience, and care with me Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I’m already used to structuring my day around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and check-ins because I care for my own 1-year-old cat every day. I’m home often and plan my schedule to make sure pets get consistent attention, exercise, and companionship rather than quick drop-ins. Caring for animals is already part of my lifestyle, not something I squeeze in. I ensure that they are always well fed, looked after, and cared for to the best of my abilities. I love making sure that my pets are having fun and are safe.
About: I have been a dog owner (small. medium, large, house and sporting breeds) for 55 years and cat owner for 10 years. It is my passion to now take care of others pet needs. I am now retired and have plenty of time to help other manage the love of their pets when they are not available to do so. I cannot take care of pets in my home at this time. I rent and have 3 pets, significant other, a daughter and a grandson in the house.

“Jenna is very responsive and attentive to all details provided. She takes excellent care of the dogs and ensures they get plenty of exercise for when she comes over and visits. Jenna really took the time to learn about the pups and continues to engage with them the whole time she is with them. She had no issues with all of the special requests as my dogs are getting older and made sure they felt safe and supported. Highly recommend! We have used her numerous times and feel that our dogs are in safe hands with her.”

“Alison was wonderful to work with. She was friendly and kind. She sent lots of pictures of our pets. We felt relieved knowing our pets were in such capable hands. Would definitely book with her again in the future!”

About: I grew up with two small dogs and have had dogs in my family my entire life. I sit my friends dog days at a time and care for her as I would my own. I also have a new puppy who keeps my very busy! My schedule is very scattered and never the same. If I can make it work I will! Sitting dogs does not only prove my love for dogs but also keeps me busy. I enjoy the walks just as much as the dogs :) I live a big quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walks. I have a big yard that can be used for playing and running around. I will make sure your pet is walked, fed, played with, loved, and brought out to use the bathroom. I believe crates are important and could be used. Also bathing could be completed, as needed.
About: I have always had a love for dogs (and all animals really!). I have been training and caring for my own dogs for over 15 years of my life. I have experience with special needs dogs (my own dog is deaf and I have had a deaf/blind dog in the past), I love to offer basic puppy and obedience training, multi dog walks and hiking adventures! I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments. I use positive only methods and believe that all dogs deserve quality enrichment that lets them just be themselves. I currently work from home but my schedule is very open and flexible. I spend a good amount of my day training my own dogs, providing enrichment and play with them on a daily basis and would love the opportunity to provide the same for your pup! When walking dogs, I do prefer that connectors are used for everyone’s safety and comfort and can provide them if needed! Any instructions left will be followed and I am willing to work with any training you are already doing with your pups to ensure smooth situations for all.
About: I have taken care of pets all my life, by 8 years old I had 5 pets to care for. Comfortable around all dogs and cats. Very much a pet person! I currently work a full time job but I can definitely make a schedule that accommodates to your fur baby whether it be walks, check ins, companion time or whatever else I may be able to help with! I am not offering at home care for pets just yet, not able to provide the space in my current home. hoping to very soon.
“Thank you guys so much for taking care of Maverick!! He’s like our new little baby and we were very hesitant about having anyone else come take care of him but crazy work schedules made it unavoidable. Your pictures and the detailed report were super comforting and reassuring for us. We look forward to having you visit him again!”
“Hannah has watched our dog multiple times and she is always reliable, great at communicating and flexible with our schedules. You can tell she loves animals and has a natural warmness to her when interacting with our dog which gives us peace leaving him in her presence. She spends time cuddling and petting him when he isn’t interested in a long walk and she always updates how the visits go. We couldn’t recommend her enough and will definitely continue using her services whenever we need a dog walker.”

“We have difficult dogs and Becca was amazing! I loved that she updated us with pictures and messages from each visit so we knew how everything was going while we were away. Thanks Becca!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
