About: Animals have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. I've had cats since birth, cared for large dogs for the past 10 years, and have owned snakes and other reptiles for more than 20 years. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the unique needs, personalities, and behaviors of many different types of pets. One of my greatest strengths is building trust quickly with animals. I take the time to meet each pet where they are, learn their preferences, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether your pet is full of zoomies, or prefers to hide under the bed, I adapt my approach to what works best for them. I understand that pets are family -they are for me too. I can't imagine my life without my pups, and I treat every animal in my care with the same patience, kindness, and respect I give my own. I am a teacher and am currently off for the summers so my hours are flexible. During the school year I can help weekends and evenings. I have experience with puppy training basics like leash walking, crate training, and reinforcing good behavior, as well as caring for older dogs who may need patience, gentle handling, or mobility support. Growing up with a dad who is a veterinarian also gave me early exposure to animal health and behavior, so I’m comfortable recognizing when something might be off and following care instructions closely. I’m reliable with routines, feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions you provide, and I prioritize a calm, positive environment so your dog feels at home. I also keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you always know how they’re doing. I’m currently a student at OSU, so my mornings and evenings are free! I may be able to stop by briefly during the day depending on my schedule, but the longest your pet would have to go without a check-in is about 5 hours. Pet care fits naturally into my routine; I plan my day around making sure pets are fed, exercised, and given attention at consistent times. I’m available for morning walks or visits, evening care, and overnight stays when needed. Because my schedule is fairly flexible outside of classes, I’m able to prioritize your pet’s needs and stick closely to their normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I provide care in my client’s home, as my rent agreement doesn’t allow pets for extended stays. I’ve been house sitting and pet sitting for a long time, and I’m always respectful of your space, belongings, and any household rules. I do my best to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible, feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications, so they feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I’m attentive to safety, making sure doors, gates, and food are secure, and I keep a close eye on your pet’s behavior and well-being. I also prioritize communication and trust by sending updates and photos, so you can feel confident that both your pet and your home are in good hands.
