About: What does your cat need? Food? I know I'm little more than opposable thumbs that know where the kibble and treats live. Play? I'm fully prepared to run around with a string and congratulate the kitty on catching me. Meds? Swaddle. No matter what is needed, I will read the cat's behavior to respect their boundaries. I pet them only when invited to do so by the cat. Hissing can be waited out or skirted around. I have no desire to make a cat's day worse.

About: I was raised in a dog and cat household and loved taking care of them. For the brief time in my adulthood that I did not have a pet, I would dog/cat sit for a various families often. I am fond of elderly dogs/cats and have taken care a few (including giving medications, shots, cooking specific diets, etc). I am also comfortable feeding farm animals such as horses and mules. I work full-time from my home allowing flexible time to play and care for animals. My outings are usually quick errands around town so my pets get a lot of dog mom time! I am available to do longer stays given that I work remote and love making pets feel safe and comfortable whilst their owners are away. I have a fenced-in yard and 2 friendly dogs (lab and border collie mix) to keep your furry loved one company! I also play music often for myself and for the dogs. No matter the size, age, or breed of the pet, I understand to respect their boundaries and be mindful of their safety. Spoiling and playing with pets is the easiest task on the planet. I'm a part-time college instructor. My hours are extremely flexible, so I can happily take a break from grading to pop in for a pet. I first and foremost will defer to the owner's instructions and requests. For pop in care, I will check basic needs first: food/water/litter box/potty breaks. Then comes socializing or any other request from the owner. Weather permitting, I like to take dogs out for fetch, chase, tug-a-war, or casual walks. What we do is sometimes determined by the breed of dog. For cats, I understand that play is up to them. I'm happy to engage in any way they prefer. My own cat is a fiend for a string.
