It is too time consuming to travel to Milwaukee to take Lily to her sitter before our trips, so we decided to find one in Chicago. We booked Irene through Rover based on her excellent reviews. We decided to let them get to know Lily before we leave her with them for our long travel at the end of this month. It worked very well. I met Ronnie when we left and picked up Lily. He is a very nice person and I can tell he loves dogs very much. Irene and Ronnie treated Lily like their own. They sent her pictures frequently. We can tell that Lily was happy there with Irene and Ronnie. Hopefully her longer stay will work as well even better. We highly recommend them.”

About: I grew up with dogs, worked at PetSmart for many years, continued dog sitting professionally, and raised my own current dog, Gizmo, from 5 weeks old. I have gone through extensive training and I use that to help others with training issues when I can. I've been through various medical issues and found the appropriate care, including for a choking dog. I am an artist and like to photograph or draw they dogs I care for - have done separate pet portrait work not included with dog sitting. I like to try to really communicate with and understand each dog in their own circumstances. I have a dog park available just a short walk down the street. I have the ability to schedule working from home if needed. Typically, if you would like your dog to stay at my home, they will be sharing space with my dog, Gizmo. So please communicate if you need special consideration for alone time. I take walks or visit the dog park in the mornings. I typically work 10 to 6 Monday through Friday at an office, but can schedule days to work from home if a dog is staying and can not be left for a long period of time. My dog is Gizmo. He is okay with other dogs and will typically play a little outside and leave your dog to have their own space inside. You will need to discuss your situation with me if your dog needs alone time with me as I would need to address Gizmo's care under those circumstances. My house is on the smaller side, but the yard is fenced in and is reasonably sized. There is a dog door available to allow easy access to the yard. Dogs are allowed on couches and the bed in my home. I have one large crate if you would like your dog to use one. Each room can be closed off if separation is needed. If I am caring for a dog in another home, I need to take the same consideration for Gizmo. Please share your needs so we can adjust as necessary.

“This was our first time working with Arlene to watch our dog for 4 days. We have a 7 year old lab mix. Arlene's communication was excellent, leading up to the first meet and greet and throughout our trip. We received pictures of our dog playing while we were away. About: I’ve taken care and interacted with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I dote and love my 2 pemwelsh corgis and your family members will receive the same attention and respect that my do. I have successfully fostered dogs as well. I currently work full time but am alloted a flexible schedule to maintain my dogs. Daily routines are not easily broken and are steadily maintained. Walks, regular outdoor & indoor playtime, interactive feedings. All are used to meet the physical and mental needs of pets. My typical hours of operations for receiving & responding to inquiries are 6am-8pm. My home has a fenced in yard and we are located in a quiet safe neighborhood. Situated near both our regular veterinary and emergency veterinary. My two dogs are very welcoming and friendly to new friends.
