About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life—there has literally never been a time growing up when I didn't have a pet at home! On top of my lifelong hands-on experience, I spent all four years of high school volunteering weekly at a local animal shelter, dedicating about 8 hours a week to caring for both cats and dogs. I’d love to bring that same high level of care, patience, and love to your furry family members! I'm currently on summer break from the University of Notre Dame, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I work with the Boys and Girls Club as a Youth Development Professional seasonally. I value safety over anything and will keep a close eye on your pets as much as requested. I understand what can happen if an animal is left alone for too long, and will ensure that your animals are safe and protected.

I've been caring for and owning dogs since I was 4 years old, and neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets. About: As an active, playful person myself, I want to give your dog a space to get some wiggles out and enjoy the day, rain or shine. I’m an ELA teacher on summer break, and I’d love to spend time walking and caring for your dogs during the hours I’d normally be teaching. As a human being who values quiet as well as activity, my priority is making sure your dog feels at peace around me as we spend time together and find adventure on our walks. My dog loves to sit by me on the floor for a while after getting back from a good walk :) I also focus on making sure I maintain the rhythms and routines to which your pet is already accustomed, giving them a safe space even with someone new to their life.

About: I grew up with animals- my dad raised and bred dogs professionally, and my brother and I helped by taking care of puppies. We also had our house dog and I had cats. Since then, I have raised many dogs, cats, and bunnies. Currently my husband and I live by ourselves and travel a lot so we do not have our own pets, but I miss having animals around and would enjoy helping take care of others’ pets. We have a calm, clean, and happy home. We love animals so much, we are both vegan as well. Your pet will be in the best care! I work from home primarily, sometimes teaching yoga classes in the public space. I also do massage nearby occasionally. My husband is home most of the time as well. We care for pets just as we would our own. We walk regularly and live near a large park and river walk. We are very well organized, and have also taken care of our many children throughout our lives!

About: My family always had a pet dog. As a kid I would feed and walk dogs in the neighborhood while they were out of town. As I grew older I would stay at family or friend's homes if they went out of town. I'm in search of a similar situation in South Bend - dog walking and light housework included! Weekdays I can stop in and let the dog(s) out for bathroom breaks. On weekends/evenings I can stay at your home so that the dog is familiar and will make myself available 100% during that time. I prefer to stay or drop in to my client's home. I find that the dog is more familiar/comfortable this way too. I am happy to do a test run so that everyone feels comfortable/familiar!

About: I (Amelia) have taken care of my own dogs since I was seven and consider it a privilege and an honor to care for your pets when you need to be away. As a huge animal lover, I have a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and have previously worked at a kennel bathing and grooming dogs and at a veterinarian as a technician/assistant. I also have some experience with dog training and have trained my own dog from being an unruly rescue to a well-behaved house dog. I am willing to care for whatever pets a client has and love to learn new things and expand my knowledge of pet care. I am always learning more about dog training and pet care and will bring that knowledge into my care for your pets. I have a flexible schedule and love walking dogs and getting outdoor exercise and am looking to add some more dog-walking and drop-in visits to my schedule. I take great precautions to make sure all dogs in my care are safe. I will frequently double-leash or use a harness with a collar to prevent any escapes while dog walking. I take care to keep dogs away from strange dogs and anticipate and prevent any dangers before they happen.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life. I’ve potty trained them, taught them how to walk with a leash, taught them tricks like sit stay and say your prayers, and too many to say. I will spoil your fur babies like I do mine. You would never have any worries while you’re away they will be in good hands. I love and enjoy being around dogs and or cats. I’d send you videos and or pictures of your fur baby. Some owners have their fur babies on a schedule if so I will do the same. if there is a park nearby I’d probably take them there. But first I would ask the owner what they would like me to do sense it is their pet. I'm retired so I'm flexible. My routine is the fur babies routine. I'd like to keep it that way for them, so I would need to know. I have a fenced in yard, not big for big dogs tho. They will be fed, played with and cuddled. If they need to be caged I have a large one for their comfort.

About: Ive always known my love for animals since I was very little, especially dogs. I’ve volunteered at a dog shelter a few years ago and loved every minute of it. Animals are misunderstood and some haven’t experienced real love from a human. I’ve worked with puppies to older dogs, big and small. Anything from walking, bathing and some commands I was able to teach. I’m no expert though. I do have one dog of my own and I’m currently fostering for Heartland Rescue to get more hands on. I want to take this to the next level and now care for dogs full time if possible. As I continue this, I will open up more services. You’re pet will feel loved by me even when you're away, as if you never left. I do have a third shift job as well so my schedule at the moment is limited but I make sure to keep it up to date every week. If you are unsure, feel free to ask! The same love, joy, and patience that you show to your pet is the same that I will do. I will also keep the same routine you have for your pet if that is what you would like.

About: Hi! I’m Paige, and animals have been a huge part of my life for over 14 years. Caring for pets isn’t just my job—it’s something I genuinely love. I’m currently a professional dog groomer and have also managed boarding facilities, worked in a veterinary office, and completed basic obedience training. Those experiences have taught me how to safely handle dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels while recognizing when they may need a little extra patience or attention. At home, your pet will have a safe, fun environment with a fully fenced yard for playtime, plenty of toys, fresh water, treats (with your approval), and lots of love and attention. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. Whether they love to play, cuddle, or simply relax, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! About: I have been around animals all my life. Growing up, we had Norwegian Elkhounds, Border Collies, and a Shepherd/Chow mix, as well as fish, mice, and guinea pigs. I, currently, have a black cat and a ball python, and had a Siamese cat for many years. For the last almost 20 years, I have house-sat and pet-sat for friends and family, then for family members of friends, finally branching out to being sought by word-of-mouth. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, from dachshunds to newfoundlands, cats of all personalities, ducks, chickens, iguanas, tortoises, and all types of rodent. I have cared for non-venomous snakes such as corn snakes, ball pythons, and red-tailed boas. Additionally, I have years of experience with animals that are deaf, blind, senile, or need just a little extra love. I believe all of our animals are our family, no matter if they are warm or cold-blooded, and each species has unique traits to understand. I worked at a bird sanctuary that specialized in waterfowl and the occasional raptor. I have not worked much with song birds nor insects, but would look forward to the opportunity. I currently work full-time, but I am free before and after work. I, also, have the ability to visit during my lunches and am available most weeknights and on weekends. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with one cat, who is used to other animals, and a 4ft snake, who’s tank has a latched lid. The cat has a space to herself and I never take the snake out around unfamiliar animals. My complex has a large area to walk dogs (or any other leashed pet) and is near the country for trails and the like. I also have space for set-ups for our bird, reptile, and amphibian friends.
