I’ve worked with playful puppies, independent cats, and senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I love getting to know each pet’s personality—whether that means long walks, playtime, or quiet cuddles—and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My goal is to make your pet feel like they’re with a friend, not just a sitter. Pet care is already part of my daily routine because I care for my own cat every day, from feeding and cleaning the litter box to playtime and making sure she feels loved and comfortable. Having my own pet has made me attentive to routines, behavior changes, and the small details that help animals feel safe and cared for. I also love spending time with dogs, whether that’s going on walks, playing, or giving them the attention and exercise they need. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, clean up after them, and make sure they get the playtime, walks, or quiet companionship they need. I believe pets feel most secure in their own home because it’s their safe space, surrounded by familiar smells and routines. Being able to care for them in that environment helps build trust and creates a stronger, more positive relationship, making the experience less stressful for both the pet and the owner.

She usually takes a while to warm up to new people but met heather the first day and loved her. My oldest girl Nana is a big love bug so she of course had to be all over her the first day she met her. About: My family always had a pet dog. As a kid I would feed and walk dogs in the neighborhood while they were out of town. As I grew older I would stay at family or friend's homes if they went out of town. I'm in search of a similar situation in South Bend - dog walking and light housework included! Weekdays I can stop in and let the dog(s) out for bathroom breaks. On weekends/evenings I can stay at your home so that the dog is familiar and will make myself available 100% during that time. I prefer to stay or drop in to my client's home. I find that the dog is more familiar/comfortable this way too. I am happy to do a test run so that everyone feels comfortable/familiar!

About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life. I’ve potty trained them, taught them how to walk with a leash, taught them tricks like sit stay and say your prayers, and too many to say. I will spoil your fur babies like I do mine. You would never have any worries while you’re away they will be in good hands. I love and enjoy being around dogs and or cats. I’d send you videos and or pictures of your fur baby. Some owners have their fur babies on a schedule if so I will do the same. if there is a park nearby I’d probably take them there. But first I would ask the owner what they would like me to do sense it is their pet. I'm retired so I'm flexible. My routine is the fur babies routine. I'd like to keep it that way for them, so I would need to know. I have a fenced in yard, not big for big dogs tho. They will be fed, played with and cuddled. If they need to be caged I have a large one for their comfort.

About: Ive always known my love for animals since I was very little, especially dogs. I’ve volunteered at a dog shelter a few years ago and loved every minute of it. Animals are misunderstood and some haven’t experienced real love from a human. I’ve worked with puppies to older dogs, big and small. Anything from walking, bathing and some commands I was able to teach. I’m no expert though. I do have one dog of my own and I’m currently fostering for Heartland Rescue to get more hands on. I want to take this to the next level and now care for dogs full time if possible. As I continue this, I will open up more services. You’re pet will feel loved by me even when you're away, as if you never left. I do have a third shift job as well so my schedule at the moment is limited but I make sure to keep it up to date every week. If you are unsure, feel free to ask! The same love, joy, and patience that you show to your pet is the same that I will do. I will also keep the same routine you have for your pet if that is what you would like.

About: I have been taking care of all kinds of pets since I was 8. I have a German Shorthaired pointer now so I can definitely handle some high energy dogs. I have many other pets including a cat, Guinea pigs, some reptiles, and fish so I am ready for anything! I am currently going to school to be a veterinarian so you can imagine how much I love pets! I have a 14 month old yellow lab/golden retriever mix, she is so funny, so sweet and has such a great personality!! I do have basic training skills! On treat motivated pets lol! I love animals , I’m very flexible! Your pet will get lots of love and attention from me! I’m very reliable! I’m able to come at last minute most of the time! I will also give your pet meds if needed! I’m also able to give injections if needed! I hope you will consider me to take care of your sweet babies , for a drop in visit for a little playtime , potty break or a nice walk, or just to give them company !! Jill I have a great flexible day schedule , I’m available almost any days , I also will do last minute drop ins on a short notice! I will greet your furry babies like they are my own! And I love to give treats when I come in if that’s OK! Then we will go outside for a potty break, have playtime and a walk if requested ! Make sure freshwater is in the water bowls! I can also put your pets in a crate if you need me to before I leave!

About: I (Amelia) have taken care of my own dogs since I was seven and consider it a privilege and an honor to care for your pets when you need to be away. As a huge animal lover, I have a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and have previously worked at a kennel bathing and grooming dogs and at a veterinarian as a technician/assistant. I also have some experience with dog training and have trained my own dog from being an unruly rescue to a well-behaved house dog.
