“Miggy loved his walks with Raymond. He had a great time and he took care to make sure he got his exercise. We will definitely be having Raymond walk Miggy again.”

“Maria is great! She's punctual and Aimee or doodle loves going on walks with her.”

About: I have always had pets in my house. I love being able to help people with taking care of their furry friends. For as long as I can remember I have been helping my family with their pets and I love to be able to help keep their animals happy, healthy, safe, and comfortable. I am currently not working or in school over the summer. In late August I will be back in class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am available to help with pets any day of the week until I begin classes again. I would love to be able to help with taking care of pets while others may not be able to. When I have previously helped with family and friends pets I have always made sure to have some kind of instructional set up of what they would like to be done if I am watching the animal in their house to make sure that I am covering what the owner would typically do. I try to make sure to keep up with the routine that has been set up for the animal already and make sure that they feel comfortable with me as well as making sure they are feeling safe and cared for.

“Angie you are wonderful!”

About: Hello all! I am a huge animal lover and have been an avid volunteer at various shelters for many years. I have been a trusted sitter for many friends and family members, and have pets of my own who are very much part of my family. I have a great deal of experience with many different breeds, some positive reinforcement training experience, and some basic first aid/troubleshooting experience. I will always treat any animal within my care as my own, and take my responsibility of being trusted with someone's family member incredibly seriously. I work from home on a varied, part-time schedule. I plan to use the late morning/early afternoon hours when I am typically free to do walks and/or check-ins and can do overnights as needed when my schedule allows. Making sure there is not "people food" easily accessible to the pet when that's a concern, being mindful of small parts they may try to eat and choke on etc. Making sure the animal has enrichment activities to make it less likely they will chew on or destroy anything they aren't supposed to. Paying attention to notes on pet profiles, making myself aware of any concerns with cats/dogs/kids/food aggression etc. Being sure to lock & double check doors before bed or when leaving the property.

About: Animals have been a part of my life since my earliest years, so that’s a good 20 years of animal care taking experience. I am very comfortable around a variety of furry friends! Dogs, Cats, hamsters, bunnies— you name it! I prioritize pet safety and health, and of course play time! I can’t wait to meet some of your pets! I am an MSU student and I am working in Royal Oak for the summer! I work at Woodward Corner Market and if you live in the area don’t be afraid to hit me up! I prioritize cleanliness and health when caretaking for animals. If there are any problems concerning lack of food intake, vomit/diarrhea, lethargy, etc., I will make sure to inform you as soon as possible! I try my best to make others pets feel comfortable around me (without forcing them) to which they usually get used to me around the 3rd or 4th day 💙. I am open to walking small/medium dogs, just so long as we have a meet and greet!

About: Hi! My name is Alex. I am heavily involved in the world of animal rescue, and have experience with a variety of different animals. I have cared for and fostered dozens of dogs throughout my life, and absolutely love large dogs and bully breeds! I have also fostered and cared for hundreds of adult cats, kittens, and geriatric felines. I am a major proponent of positive reinforcement, and will not ever work with any kind of negative reinforcement or punishment based training. I am comfortable with some clicker and reward based training as well should you want to work on a few things with your dog and/or cat (I've trained a few cats to do tricks, too!) I am experienced in administering a variety of medications. I have three cats of my own ranging from 15-years-old to 2-years-old, and a 5-year-old 65lb pitty. Ask me anything! I truly cannot wait to meet your furry family members! My job allows me an immense amount of flexibility as well as being remote so I have lots of time for your baby! I can provide multiple check ins a day during the week or weekend. Although I do not bring clients into my home, I care for them in their comfortable home environment however they are most comfortable. It's important I maintain their routines and help them to feel safe and secure. For cats this includes dedicated toy time and snuggles, and for dogs it includes supervised yard time or walkies!

About: I have experience with dogs as young as one and as old as fourteen. I easily adapt to all ages, temperaments, and unique care needs! In my career, I have also been told that I project a calm and empathetic nature, and I strongly believe that the animals I interact with can sense that, too. I tend to get along with every animal that I meet, and my love for animals runs VERY deep. I spent the last 5 years taking care of my sick senior dog who has recently transitioned. From there, I have spent extra time playing, dog sitting, and dog walking my family members fur babies so I can continue to spread my love for animals ❤️. Furthermore, as the weather is beginning to change here in the Midwest, I have been able to take weekly walks within my schedule! I am also fortunate enough to have 4 days off a week, so incorporating a walk around the block is very easy to squeeze into my lifestyle. Although dog walking can be very fun and relaxing, it is important to be aware of your surroundings. Animals can be unpredictable, therefore, when walking my fur babies, I make an appoint to be cautious of other animals that may be in the area such as deer, stray cats, or other dogs. Additionally, it is important to look over your shoulder, because cars can be extremely quiet and hard to hear sometimes!

About: I have been pet sitting and house sitting for 3.5 years. I am extremely respectful and responsible with my clients fur babies and their property. I’m very detailed in my communication and take wonderful pictures to send with my updates. I’ve administered medications and cared elderly pets and cared for multiple pets at a time in one home, as many as 6. I work remotely so with enough notice I can work from anywhere and free after 6pm. I make time to properly care for my clients pets and even my own. I care for the pets in my client’s homes by following the current routine in place. I communicate clearly and efficiently with the owners and tend to the pets with patience and love while keeping in mind they miss their owners.

About: Hi there, I'm Halley. I've been taking care of pets for over 15 years! I've had dogs and cats my whole life, so I'm very attuned to the different needs and wants, and I understand that even different dog breeds have specific needs that need to be met (working dogs, am I right?). I've taken care of dogs of all ages and sizes, and I currently have a senior Great Dane with seizures at home. I'm no stranger to special needs pets or medication time. I also have 3 cats of various ages, and I've administered meds to all 3 of them on occasion. I can do all the care you need: brushing, ear cleaning, tooth brushing, nail clipping, medications, walks, you name it. I am looking to make this my full-time job, so I've got plenty of time for your pets! I have lots of time to make sure that every animal is taken care of properly and to the pet parent's specifications and expectations. Tell me about your routines, and I'll try to stick to it as much as possible to avoid any undue stress on your fur baby. I know it's hard to let someone in to care for your pets, so I want to give them their routine to keep them happy and safe.

“Samantha is amazing, she never failed to send pictures and get plenty of exercise with my insanely hyper dog, he just loved her. In February of this year I got into a horrible accident and didn’t wake up for two days, I lived alone and my dog didn’t have anyone, I woke up in the ICU and Samantha was the first one I got a hold of knowing she had a key. She showed and saved my dogs life, my keys were lost in the accident and I had no way to get home. She safely got the key to my family and Obsidian is safe and healthy with me traveling across the United States and happier then ever. I couldn’t thank her enough for being that reliable. I don’t know what I would ever do without my boy.”

About: I grew up with a cat and a dog, and have a cat and dog of my own now. Animals have always had a special place in my heart and I have pet-sat for many neighbors and family friends throughout my life. I currently work from home most days, so I have extra time and flexibility to check in on your babies while you may be away. I know how difficult and scary it can be to trust someone with your babies and most prized possessions. I always have and always will handle things professionally and with love and care. I’m happy to send an update, pictures, do whatever I can to help bring you peace of mind while checking in on your furry family member!

About: I’ve have taken care of dogs for over 20 years. I specialize in the care of small dogs and those with special needs. I have an elderly, blind, partially deaf Boston terrier of my own so I am well acquainted with caring for dogs. I work from home quarter-time and have a lot flexibility. I am present and available to meet your dogs needs. The longest they would have to wait to go outside is two hours. I have a fully fenced in backyard and a walkable neighborhood! I have one small elderly dog that sleeps all day and keeps to herself. I have elementary age kids that are helpful and also love dogs.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. From growing up with cats, dogs, turtles, birds, and even a bunny, to being the go-to sitter for friends, family, and neighbors, caring for animals has always been second nature to me. Whether it’s a bouncy puppy, a shy senior cat, or a pet with special routines, I adapt easily and treat every animal like family. I’ve helped nurse a newborn lamb back to health while abroad, bathed muddy dogs after playtime, and made sure pets get all the love and attention they need while their humans are away. Whether your pet needs a calm companion or a playful buddy, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved every step of the way. Hope to see you soon! My schedule is wide open for drop-ins, walks, house sitting, and overnight stays. Pet sitting is my full-time job so I have plenty of time to give your pets consistent care and companionship while you’re away. I take pride in being dependable, tidy, and respectful. I follow all routines closely and give regular updates so you always feel connected. I’m very active and love going on long walks with dogs or playing in the yard to help them burn energy in a fun, safe way. Whether your pet needs quiet companionship or a playful buddy, I adapt easily.

About: I started pet sitting after getting my first dog 6 years ago. He’s well trained and knows a bunch of commands because I enjoyed training him! Since then I’ve fostered, dog-sat, and rescued a bunch of dogs and even some cats! I currently work 3-4 days a week so, I have a lot of free time! I usually devote it to making extra cash and I prefer dog sitting because I actually enjoy it. I prefer to let my dog roam with frequent bathroom breaks and play time. I treat dogs in my home as a part of the family. Every dog is different and my need different care!

About: I have 4 cats and 2 dogs of my own who are very socialized! I’m great at training fur babies if they need any and I have lots of energy to keep up with them as well! My partner and I recently bought our home in Detroit that has a good size yard for play space for your dogs! I also do date night sitting in the surrounding areas so I have no problem driving out to give your fur babies a potty break and some love when you’re out at work. I have been doing house sitting along with pet sitting for some time now so I have great references if needed! I am married, no children yet and as I mentioned have 2 dogs and 4 kitties! They’re all very friendly and welcoming to others. I work from home so I have time to give love and as many potty breaks as they need while they are here! I treat all dogs like my own. I have a fenced yard and will do lots of supervised play time in it! My dogs love to play with other dogs as well, all supervised of course!

About: I am kind, compassionate, and patient. I have knowledge of working with a variety of pet personalities, including those shy and nervous. I have extensive experience working with dogs including working in a boarding kennel, at a pet store, and at a dog park. I also have 15 years of house and pet sitting experience. My personal experience includes being around dogs my entire life. My family has always had them in the home and once I moved out, I gained a couple of my own. I have two dogs who are 100% pet friendly. I currently only accept sensitive and older dogs who may have a hard time at a boardking kennel or in a more lively home. I have both a rescue and older dog who are sensitive and unable to be boarded outside of the home. I know how difficult this can be and would love to open my home to your pet when you are in need. Iwould like to make your dog sitter situation as stress-free as possible, and am willing to do what is required to diminish the worry that comes with leaving your pets in the care of someone else. My home is an excellent environment for the more particular pets, as it is tailored to my own. I live in a ranch with no other people in the home. There are no stairs and the majority of the floor is carpet, perfect for pets who have issues with mobility or fear regarding flooring. Pets are always given the option to socialize with us but if they prefer to be on their own to rest. We will not have visitors while your pup is a guest. I am a public school employee and do not work out of the home over the summer. Your pet will get plenty of attention and entertainment. I care for your dog as if it were my own. I can make accommodations on a dog by dog basis. My personal dogs have wildly different needs and I recognize that not all dogs have the same needs. I will do what is necessary to keep your dog happy, healthy, and safe.

“Elizabeth has been helping with my pets for years. She would feed and take my dog for walks when I worked overtime. Now she helps with my cat Luna when I am out of town. Luna only needs her food filled once a day but Elizabeth makes sure to check in on her frequently so she doesn't feel lonely. She spends extra time playing with her and has even stayed at the house until Luna comes out of hiding to make sure she was ok. Now that Luna is familiar with Elizabeth she is happy to see her and will cuddle up in her lap. Elizabeth is kind, caring, respectful and responsible. I have never been disappointed in the care she has given my pets.”

7. Alexandra C.
“Alex has been an amazing pet parent as long as I have known her, and after 12 years I can say simply no one has the amount of care, compassion, skill, and experience with animals as her. From her first pet, a senior cat rescue adoption in 2017, she has cared unendingly for her animals as well as volunteering with rescues across south east Michigan. There is no one I'd feel more comfortable leaving pets with, as she cares for her animals, foster cats though the rescue, and even community ferals as if they are they only animal on the planet.”

“It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Karin as a pet walker for Rover. Over the time she has cared for my dog, Queen, I have come to know her as someone who is not only very reliable and professional, but also deeply compassionate to the needs of the animals in her care. Karin is very gentle, patient, and intuitive. My dog, Queen can be a bit shy around new people, but she warmed up to Karin in no time. Whether it’s a morning walk, a midday walk, or a long weekend stroll, Karin always shows up with a warm smile and a calming presence. She truly treats every pet as if they were her own.”
