“Celia is a true dog lover. She took care of my sweet Chihuahua named Joy with love and care. It felt like I’m sending my baby to vacation spa. Celia communicate with me every day, twice a day and sent me pictures to reassure me of the well-being of my joy. I’m very happy and grateful to find such a great dog sitter. I recommend Celia with all my heart she really gave me a piece of mind while I was away.”

“Jennifer was amazing with Buddy, this is the first time I sent my boy to a dog sitter and was completely nervous about it. Jennifer understood this and made an extra effort to update me on how he was doing. Jennifer was also amazing on being flexible with time and working with how both buddy and I were getting on during this time.”

“Allison is amazing! So personable and kind and treated my babies great. Got daily pictures/videos and was able to feel at ease during my out of country vacation. Would highly recommend her services. Thank you again Allison!”

“This was our first time ever leaving our fur baby with anyone overnight, and we were honestly very hesitant at first. We are so thankful we decided to trust Stephanie and her family! From the moment we met them, we instantly felt welcomed, relieved, and confident that our fur baby would be in great hands. Stephanie went above and beyond by sending daily updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our fur baby was loved and well cared for the entire time. I highly recommend her for boarding services and will absolutely be booking with her again in the future!”

“I can’t recommend Flor enough! She did an amazing job taking care of my dogs. She sent daily updates, including pictures, which really gave me peace of mind. My dogs absolutely loved her, and I could tell they were well cared for and happy the whole time. If you’re looking for someone reliable and caring, she’s the one! Will be booking again!”

“I cannot recommend Steven enough! My dog is quite skittish with strangers and has a very specific routine at home, so I was nervous about boarding. Steven was incredibly understanding and listened to all my concerns, but what impressed me most was how he prioritized reading her body language over just following my instructions blindly. He understood that she might behave differently in a new environment and adapted brilliantly. Despite the challenges of a different household dynamic—managing a 'grazer' around his own dog and mirroring our busy family routine—he made her feel right at home. By the first night, she was eating, playing, and even sleeping in her crate! If you want a sitter who truly understands dog psychology and provides personalized care, Steven is the one.”

“Rana and David have been great taking care of my dog Luna a couple of times for an extended period of time. I can tell Luna enjoys her stay because she goes back happily. Very good job communicating and sending pictures. Thanks!”

“Ana was easy to work with and always answered our questions. She sent many pictures and videos. Our dog came back well cared for and rested. No issues came up. The dog socializing seemed to go well.”

“Tracey is awesome! She took great care of my dog, kept me posted and sent me pictures. Chloe had great time at Tracey’s place, got a lot of love from her and her amazing family. I’ll always leave Chloe with Tracey when I go out to town.”

“I chose Margerita as my sitter the first time I used Rover and will always choose her. She is terrific. Even though it was last minute, she helped our family and we were able to attend a wedding out-of-town without worry. She even sent photos of him having a blast!-Camille D.”

“Stella and her family took great care of my puppy during his extended stay. He became very close with her family, made friends with her dogs, and took many leisurely walks in her backyard. He had a great time and seems like he even became more easygoing and outgoing after we came home. I would highly recommend her!!”

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
