“Celia is a true dog lover. She took care of my sweet Chihuahua named Joy with love and care. It felt like I’m sending my baby to vacation spa. Celia communicate with me every day, twice a day and sent me pictures to reassure me of the well-being of my joy. I’m very happy and grateful to find such a great dog sitter. I recommend Celia with all my heart she really gave me a piece of mind while I was away.”

“Jennifer was amazing with Buddy, this is the first time I sent my boy to a dog sitter and was completely nervous about it. Jennifer understood this and made an extra effort to update me on how he was doing. Jennifer was also amazing on being flexible with time and working with how both buddy and I were getting on during this time.”

“So happy we found such a wonderful sitter for our 2 babies! We were nervous the 1st night since they had never been boarded before, but Emmeline provided lots of updates that helped reassure me they were in great hands. We booked a 2nd stay as we were going out of town for a wedding, and the girls really seem to be loving it there. She kept them fed on time, lots of pets/cuddles and play time with regular walks. Thanks again Emmeline!! The girls are looking forward to seeing you again soon!”

“Very pleasant woman and her family. Loved that they had playmates during their stay. Nice yard for them to play. She also had no problem adhering to particulars regarding their stay. Will be using her again in the future.”
“Stephanie and her family took exceptionally good care of my 19 month old goldendoodle. I hope they will let him stay again. Thank you for everything! Love Noa and Anthony.”

“I cannot recommend Steven enough! My dog is quite skittish with strangers and has a very specific routine at home, so I was nervous about boarding. Steven was incredibly understanding and listened to all my concerns, but what impressed me most was how he prioritized reading her body language over just following my instructions blindly. He understood that she might behave differently in a new environment and adapted brilliantly. Despite the challenges of a different household dynamic—managing a 'grazer' around his own dog and mirroring our busy family routine—he made her feel right at home. By the first night, she was eating, playing, and even sleeping in her crate! If you want a sitter who truly understands dog psychology and provides personalized care, Steven is the one.”

“Flor was amazing with both of my dogs! I had concerns because my smaller dog tends to get snappy around other dogs, even his fur brother, but Flor made sure to do slow introductions and keep a close eye on things and he actually did great. She also sent lots of pics and videos throughout the stay. I will definitely be using Flor again!”

“Ana is the best, we used to take our boy to a kennel and he would come back and take time to adjust but with Ana he comes home and it's like he's been home the whole time. She sends pictures and videos throughout the whole stay”

“Stella and her family took great care of my puppy during his extended stay. He became very close with her family, made friends with her dogs, and took many leisurely walks in her backyard. He had a great time and seems like he even became more easygoing and outgoing after we came home. I would highly recommend her!!”

“MK was an amazing host for our boy! He was sad to leave when we picked him up from having so much fun with his new friends. HAVING A HUSKY, the air tag was great for piece of mind. We will definitely bring our boy back in the future. Thank you MK”

“I was really nervous about using Rover for the first time, but Amy provided very good communication with me & sent photos about 3 times a day, so I never felt like I needed to ask her for any updates, which was great considering how busy I was with my wedding. My good boy got to play in the sun with her other dogs, ate treats, & even slept in her bed, so I know he was comfortable & well taken care of.”

“Grace is very knowledgeable about dogs and is very attentive to them. We were so happy she accommodated our last minute request for our Whisky to stay with her this past weekend.”
About: I have always been a dog lover as well as a dog owner. I am outgoing, responsible, patient and affectionate. I make sure I am caring for each dog properly for their needs and wants. I am able to exercise with the dogs and take them out frequently for potty breaks. I also now have 2 large breeds of my own and it has been a mostly fun and rewarding experience. They help me with my mental health and physical health. My family and I have so much fun dog boarding and I find it fulfilling to work as a dog sitter. Maybe I'll open up a unique pet services business one day 🙏🏾🤗🫶🏾 Pet care fits into my schedule when I am not working a full-time job. As I stated, I have 2 dogs of my own and spend a lot of time training them and taking care of their physical needs. In my own home and in a clients home I will care for your pets as if they were my own and follow the guidelines and notes that are given to me. I appreciate notes and advice from owners.
“Margerita was very accommodating and understanding during the entire stay. I was worried about leaving my dog for the first time, but she communicated well and helped my husband and I ease our mind. My Australian shepherd is an anxious dog, but when I picked her up she seemed very happy and taken care of. I could tell that Margerita was able to handle my dog incredibly well and it made me extremely happy to have my dog socialized with Margeritas pets. I highly recommend her services, and I will definitely book through her in the future!”

“Jennifer was great with our girl and sent plenty of updates and got her out and about even with the holiday weekend. Her last minute availability and convenient location came in clutch! Thank you again Jennifer!”

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
