“Ciara and her family are just so sweet and attentive and her dog Arlo was so playful again with our puppy and let her get all her energy out:) We appreciated the photo updates and felt she was truly treated like a member of the family while we were away. Thank you.”

“Stella and her family took great care of my puppy during his extended stay. He became very close with her family, made friends with her dogs, and took many leisurely walks in her backyard. He had a great time and seems like he even became more easygoing and outgoing after we came home. I would highly recommend her!!”

“Celia was very kind, understanding and helpful she accepted my last minute request. Great person and I felt extremely safe leaving my husky with her, she made sure to attend ALL my dogs needs. She made sure my dog was safe and loved for her stay! I absolutely recommend her to anyone needing someone to take care of their pet! 10/10 service and very trustworthy.”

“Alessandra was so great! I was super nervous using this app for the first time, but feel truly lucky and blessed having found Alessandra! Upon meeting her, I was super comfortable and I felt as though I was leaving my dog in the care of a good friend or trusted family member. She was very attentive and communicative, I appreciated all the updates and photos while I was away. I have nothing but good things to say, and absolutely recommend her! She will def be my go-to dog sitter! She’s the best!”

“Ana was absolutely wonderful! She was very informative and communicative. I received pictures and videos daily of my pup, he was having sooooo much fun—and he got to meet and play with some puppy friends while there! I will definitely use Ana’s services again. My puppy came back to me happy and healthy and super excited to see me!!”

“I’m looking forward to booking again [next year when i stay in town at Great Wolf Lodge] with Debra & Benjamin. Little Zoey is just so sweet and friendly - even on the first face to face zoom meet & greet she wagged her tail - to meeting in-person upon drop off. Immediately, my dogs appeared to feel safe and cozy upon meeting. Their home is set up to accommodate free range indoor/outdoor exploring in a safe fenced back yard/“backwoods” environment. Most importantly - at and post-pickup - my babies seemed calm, content and relaxed. Thank goodness I was able to find Debra & Benjamin to provide quality care! Def recommend”

“Bingo had a great time! Margarita sent us pictures throughout his stay, which made my kids so happy. Our baby Bingo was clearly well loved and well taken care of. We’re so grateful for the care and updates and would absolutely recommend Margarita to anyone looking for someone to watch their fur baby! ❤️”

“Tyler was an amazing dog sitter! He was attentive, kind, and so sweet with my dog. He kept me updated with plenty of photos, including some adorable and funny moments that really put my mind at ease while I was away. He was also very attentive to my dog’s dietary needs and even took him to the park to play. My dog is usually pretty solitary and takes time to warm up to new people, but he did so well with Tyler, which says a lot. I’m so happy Tyler and Deku had such a great time together. I would absolutely book with Tyler again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

About: I've taken care of dogs, since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. In my family we have all ways had 2 small dogs, and now I have my current dog of 5 years, love him so much like my baby, sleeps and cuddles with me all the time. I'm currently a stay at home mom, so I have plenty of time to play/walk with your pups! I'm available for dog walking, while my son is in school and in the afternoon. Open availability on the weekends. I think trust is important when it comes to animals. Animals need to smell you first to get to know you. I always let an animal smell my hand and then I’ll ease into petting them once I can tell from body language if they want me to.
“Our first experience leaving our dog with someone new . Codey is like another one of our kids so i was very selective. I was so nervous at first but the attention and daily communication with Cristina before we left and during helped ease my fears. She kept in contact with me daily so we could enjoy our vacation. Getting pictures with updates on their daily activities i could see Codey was getting the attention and care like he was her own. We look forward to booking with Cristina again.”

About: I have grown up around pets my whole life. I have had many dogs with different personalities and preferences. One of my dogs requires special care so I am very patient and understanding! My cat is also the most spoiled guy you will ever meet so trust me I understand all the little important details that these guys and girls need! I work part time and my schedule varies. I also have weekends off. It is very flexible and can adjust days and times based on what is needed from me. I have a big fenced backyard and my own room as well. If you pet prefers to sleep in a crate we have plenty of space, but I would love to share my bed. Unless the temperature doesn’t allow my dogs personally prefer to be outside but are welcome in but can be in a separate space if needed. Everything is very flexible
“Thank you so much to Angela and Destiny for watching our fur babies! We knew they were going to be in great care when dropping them off. Angela kept us posted and sent us pictures of their stay too! We will definitely book them again in the future should we need to go out of town, we highly recommend them! Thanks again!!”

About: I have been taking care of animals my entire life. I was raised around animals and treat them all like they are my own. I have experience with puppies, dog walking, and managing multiple dogs at one time. I currently work full time at a school but I like to take care of animals when I am free. I have a lot of time off and my weekend is open for any fur baby that needs me. I think trust is important when it comes to animals. Animals need to smell you first to get to know you. I always let an animal smell my hand and then I’ll ease into petting them once I can tell from body language if they want me to.
About: As a pet owner myself, I know how special our pets are. I have taken care of dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, our household always being the one to contact when a pet sitter was wanted. I love taking photos of adorable animals, so I can assure you that you will receive plenty of your little one(s)! I also love running, so if your dog(s) want a little more exercise, that is doable as well! Any distance of a walk is great with me! I work full-time, so I am available on the weekdays before work (7AM and earlier), a quick drop in around lunch time (around 12PM) and after work (6PM and later). On the weekends, I am available any time. I offer walks for pups and drop-ins for dogs and cats. I’d love to get to know your little one(s) and help out your busy family at the same time.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Claribel can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Claribel home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Claribel.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Claribel sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
