“Amanda did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs. She communicated excellently, and spent quality time with them during the drop-in visit. We will definitely book with Amanda again.”

About: I’m a dedicated dog lover with hands on experience caring for friends’ and family dogs, as well as my own, using positive reinforcement at home. On walks, I focus on gentle, calm structure, making sure gear fits comfortably, reinforcing polite leash manners, and (if you’d like) practicing simple cues like “sit,” “wait,” and “leave it.” I’m patient with excited dogs and extra gentle with nervous pups, always prioritizing safety and giving plenty of space from other dogs and people when needed. Dogs who need extra space on leash are welcome, I’m comfortable with mild–moderate reactivity and I work at the dog’s comfort level using distance, calm handling, and positive reinforcement. You’ll get photo updates + a quick walk recap each visit, and meet & greets are always welcome. I’m available for dog walks Monday through Saturday, with flexible time blocks from morning to evening (6am–10pm). Sundays are my off day. I’m happy to work with one-time walks, weekly routines, and recurring midday potty breaks—whatever keeps your pup happiest and most consistent. Safety comes first on every walk. I double-check harness/collar fit, use secure leash handling, and stay alert to surroundings. I avoid on-leash greetings unless you request them, give dogs space from triggers, and keep walks calm and positive. I’ll follow your routine closely and send photo updates each visit.

About: I love animals and would love to help you watch yours if you're out or take them on walks for you! I had a German-Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador mix for 11 years, he passed away recently but brought years of joy and experience with a highly-energetic dog. I recently got my first cat, and I have lived with several other dogs and cats. I do not have any professional experience grooming or dealing with animals, but I am more than willing to help out with letting dogs out, taking them on walks, etc. I definitely have plenty of experience walking dogs because of my little guy. I look forward to hearing from you soon! I currently have quite open availability, almost any day and time should work with some notice, and I will try to make it work regardless. I have a fenced-in yard where a dog can go outside/play fetch. I have 1 cat, but he can be kept in a separate area of the house if preferred.
“Emily is an angel! She was able to accommodate checking in on our pup SO last minute and even rearranged her personal schedule to get to him sooner. 😭💕 she always takes the cutest pictures of him and he LOVES her! She’s amazing!!”

About: I've always had dogs and crate trained my dogs. I know how to train basic commands but nothing really beyond that. I do love playing with dogs and also relaxing with them as well. I do work full time but I do work from home most of the week. So my schedule is pretty flexible for the most part. I have a fenced yard, and 4 friendly dogs. We do have 2 cats but they stay outside as they don't like our dogs. I make sure the the pet I babysit is comfortable and listen to instructions on the owners requests.
About: Animals have always been my passion! Ever since I was 13, I've taken care of many different kinds of animals, from scaley to furry; I've handled it all. I can dog walk, come to your home to pet or house sit, or stop by to let your dog out. You name it, I can do it! I live with 3 cats, and they all love attention! I also care for my dog and cat at my mother's as well when I can. I'll feed your pet, bathe your pet, take your pet to potty, play with your pet, and, of course, love on your pet! Animals are precious and always deserve love and attention.
About: I’ve been a per sitter for over 10 years and have experience caring for older cats and dogs as well as watering plants, getting the mail, and giving pills. I have cared for many dogs, cats, rodents, and even ducks! I’m available to care for your furry family members, and will spoil them with attention. I can pill them, feed them, tire them out in the backyard or on walks, anything to make them (and you!) happy while you’re away. I’m happy to do anything I can to make your pet happy and ensure they have a good time! I am passionate about providing the best care possible for your animals. I am available weekdays, weekends, and holidays so no matter where life takes you, you know your pets are safe and comfortable at home with me. I will stay overnight in your home to make it lived in and to keep your pets comfortable in their own home. I take careful notes and send you updates and can learn your security system.
“We were very pleased. She came met our dogs prior to the date to get comfortable with them.. Was cool with everything we asked about. Easy to communicate with. Very accommodating. Friendly and a pleasure to meet. We definitely will have her watch our dogs again.”

About: All my life I’ve had animals . I’ve had everything from Min Pins to Pitties. They rely on us and deserve the best care and environment. I am currently a stay at home mom. I am home all day except to drop off and pick up my child from school. Weekends are usually spent at home relaxing in the backyard. I have a fence in backyard with a doggy door that allows animals to come and go through out the day. I let dogs on the couch to cuddle. 🥰
About: I’ve always had a deep passion for caring for dogs, and from a young age, I’ve made it my mission to learn everything I can about their well-being. Over the years, I’ve cared for senior dogs and understand the extra attention and patience they require. Additionally, I have some experience training dogs, which has given me a solid foundation in understanding canine behavior and using positive reinforcement. My priority is to ensure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved in my care. I’m experienced with dogs of all temperaments and am fully capable of administering medications when needed. I pay close attention to the unique behaviors and preferences of each dog and am always happy to follow any specific instructions or routines you provide. During each visit, I approach every task with calmness, patience, and consistency—whether it’s feeding, playtime, or walks. I also ensure your dog’s environment is clean and comfortable, as I believe in creating a space where both you and your dog feel at ease. Since I'm currently taking my college classes online and am looking for a job, I have a flexible and free schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time throughout the day for your dog. Whether it's taking them for walks, providing playtime, or checking in on thrm regularly, I'm able to accommodate your dog's needs at any time that works best for you! While caring for pets in a client's home I will go the extra mile to ensure safety and security of both the pet and the home. I will give detailed pre-visit communication, making sure to speak about the pets routines, health, and any specific needs. I will also ask about home security details, emergency contacts, and preferences regarding care of the home. I will do safety checks for any potential hazard such as open windows or gates, making sure everything is secure. I will monitor any areas that you'd like off-limits to the pet. I will pay close attention to the pets behavior and their interactions with the environment. I will always lock up after each visit and always be prepared with emergency contact information and knowing where the nearest vet is.
About: Growing up on the farm, there was no shortage of canines in my life starting very early. Companions, service dogs, working dogs, strays who wandered up and never left, I’ve taken care of almost every shape and size of dog! Starting with the chocolate lab I saved up for from my local rescue at 8 years old, to my most recent geriatric chihuahua, I love them all! I’m an artist with a very flexible schedule looking to fill a need in my community! I can accommodate nearly every shape and size of situation—especially holidays and last minute bookings! As someone with very high standards, I only wish to provide the services that I absolutely expect for my pets! You can always count on me to follow your instructions thoroughly and to the letter; your pet’s healthy and safety and your satisfaction as an owner is of the utmost importance to me!
“Ashlee took great care of our kitties, fish tank, plants and home. She was reliable, flexible and listened to what we said mattered most to us. She kept ample communication, ensuring we knew how things were going and sending lots of nice pictures and videos. We had peace of mind during our travels, which is all one can ask for. Thanks, Ashlee!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Riverbank. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
