About: I've taken care of dogs for 3 weeks at a time. I've trained dogs basic skills like sit, down, roll over, turn around, leave it, and sit and stay. I've had many dogs of my own and 2 cats I'm available to watch animals before and after work and I can also attend to them in between 12 and 1 on my lunch break. I work from 8:00 to 5:00. I'm early riser. I Love to keep them happy while their owners are away. When I'm caring for animals, I spend time with them I make sure they're well fed and have plenty of water. What makes me happy is having your baby happy while you are away. I love taking them for walks or even going to the park. I do like cuddling. I have no problem with your fur baby sleeping with me at night.

I am able to work around my class schedule. Your pets safety is one of my priorities. I believe creating a sense of trust with your pet helps ensure their safety. I am very patient with animals and always want the best for them.

About: I’ve been dog walking almost all my life, growing up with dogs. Since 2023 I’ve been dog sitting neighbors dogs and taking care of their house while they are gone. I am currently a student at MJC, so my schedule is busy in mornings but avalaible after my classes. I will make my time avalaible devoted on what is needed for the dog. I have a beautiful neighborhood perfect for walking a dog. My house is safe with no where for the dog to run away or harm itself.

About: Growing up with animals my whole life I’ve always had a fond love of my pets. I’ve watched numerous family and friends animals while they were away and loved spending time with every one of their pets. I furthered my education by obtaining a bachelors degree in animals science and working in vet medicine, it’s to safe to say it’s my passion! Can’t wait to meet your beloved pets! I currently work at an equine veterinary hospital only 4 days a week. My schedule is flexible enough to maintain your pets normal routines and schedules! Other than work my priority would be your pets! I have a strong love and passion for taking care of animals and take pride in giving the best care to your pets while you’re away! About: I’ve had dogs and cats since a child. As an adult I’ve fostered several dogs to help find them homes. Big animal lover who likes structure. I don’t let my pets in the kitchen and try to teach them not to beg. I currently have open availability, so plenty of time to help play with your pups and care for them while you’re gone. Whether it just be for a few hours, or overnight. I have a smaller backyard, but it fenced, and available for pets to use. I live close by a gorgeous park, so love heading for walks, & playing catch somewhere nearby.

About: I’m a dedicated dog lover with hands on experience caring for friends’ and family dogs, as well as my own, using positive reinforcement at home. On walks, I focus on gentle, calm structure, making sure gear fits comfortably, reinforcing polite leash manners, and (if you’d like) practicing simple cues like “sit,” “wait,” and “leave it.” I’m patient with excited dogs and extra gentle with nervous pups, always prioritizing safety and giving plenty of space from other dogs and people when needed. Dogs who need extra space on leash are welcome, I’m comfortable with mild–moderate reactivity and I work at the dog’s comfort level using distance, calm handling, and positive reinforcement. You’ll get photo updates + a quick walk recap each visit, and meet & greets are always welcome. I’m available for dog walks Monday through Saturday, with flexible time blocks from morning to evening (6am–10pm). Sundays are my off day. I’m happy to work with one-time walks, weekly routines, and recurring midday potty breaks—whatever keeps your pup happiest and most consistent. Safety comes first on every walk. I double-check harness/collar fit, use secure leash handling, and stay alert to surroundings. I avoid on-leash greetings unless you request them, give dogs space from triggers, and keep walks calm and positive. I’ll follow your routine closely and send photo updates each visit.
About: I've been a frequent pet sitter since I was in Junior High, as well as always taking care of my own I'd often take care of my grandparents, uncles, and friends. I work part-time so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets and live with family so they'll be taken care of when I'm not around :) I live in a gated home with a large backyard for your pet to roam free in :) I also have two different sized crates available if needed.

About: I have been trusted by many to care for their pets when life gets a little too busy. I go to their home to feed, spend time with & play with their dogs or cats. I absolutely love animals (probably a little more than I like people lol). I understand the importance of giving your pets the attention and care they need. I’d be happy to help you with your pet care needs in anyway! My goal is to create an stress-free experience for you and your fur babies when it comes to their care & safety. My schedule is very flexible at the moment, I like to keep busy. Pet sitting is the perfect job for me, also something I enjoy doing. Unfortunately I am not able to care for pets in my home, I have 2 dogs. My lease agreement states I cannot have more pets than that.
About: I’ve been a per sitter for over 10 years and have experience caring for older cats and dogs as well as watering plants, getting the mail, and giving pills. I have cared for many dogs, cats, rodents, and even ducks! I’m available to care for your furry family members, and will spoil them with attention. I can pill them, feed them, tire them out in the backyard or on walks, anything to make them (and you!) happy while you’re away. I’m happy to do anything I can to make your pet happy and ensure they have a good time! I am passionate about providing the best care possible for your animals. I am available weekdays, weekends, and holidays so no matter where life takes you, you know your pets are safe and comfortable at home with me. I will stay overnight in your home to make it lived in and to keep your pets comfortable in their own home. I take careful notes and send you updates and can learn your security system.

“Melissa is a nice care giver! She would meet me 1 day before the walk starts to know Zoy and learn everything needs to know about Zoy. During the stay, she always keep the communication channel open and responds in no delay. We experienced the hottest weather in Bay Area, Mellisa make sure the fan is on max speed and air flows as well as leave plenty water for Zoy. Also provides professional observation and updated to me on how Zoy took the heat!! I was on business travel and she really took care of Zoy and eased on my worrisome mind. Highly recommend her!! Thank you Mellisa!!”

Leslie is truly phenomenal. She goes far beyond basic house sitting, and the cats absolutely adore her. She keeps me updated on everything happening at the house, from dealing with ants to bringing in the garbage cans. The best part is her daily updates with commentary and photos, which I genuinely look forward to every morning.

Naomi is the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) pet sitter! I’ve run out of words to describe how wonderful she is. Naomi is, quite simply, the gold standard of pet care. She has been watching my two cat's Lucius and Batrice, and her level of dedication is unmatched. She is professional, highly communicative, and incredibly caring. It’s such a relief to know that while we’re away, our pets are not only safe but genuinely happy and loved. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable and goes the extra mile every single time, Naomi is the one!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
