About: I've taken care of dogs for 3 weeks at a time. I've trained dogs basic skills like sit, down, roll over, turn around, leave it, and sit and stay. I've had many dogs of my own and 2 cats I'm available to watch animals before and after work and I can also attend to them in between 12 and 1 on my lunch break. I work from 8:00 to 5:00. I'm early riser. I Love to keep them happy while their owners are away. When I'm caring for animals, I spend time with them I make sure they're well fed and have plenty of water. What makes me happy is having your baby happy while you are away. I love taking them for walks or even going to the park. I do like cuddling. I have no problem with your fur baby sleeping with me at night.
“Danny HATES getting boarded. He always comes home anxious, hungry, or injured. We decided to try Rover this time and it was our best decision yet! Kaitlyn was great and gave us a ton of pictures and videos with details about each visit. She even gave lot of attention to our cats when she was there. 10/10 and we’ll definitely be reaching out to Kaitlyn again.”

About: I’m a dedicated dog lover with hands on experience caring for friends’ and family dogs, as well as my own, using positive reinforcement at home. On walks, I focus on gentle, calm structure, making sure gear fits comfortably, reinforcing polite leash manners, and (if you’d like) practicing simple cues like “sit,” “wait,” and “leave it.” I’m patient with excited dogs and extra gentle with nervous pups, always prioritizing safety and giving plenty of space from other dogs and people when needed. Dogs who need extra space on leash are welcome, I’m comfortable with mild–moderate reactivity and I work at the dog’s comfort level using distance, calm handling, and positive reinforcement. You’ll get photo updates + a quick walk recap each visit, and meet & greets are always welcome. I’m available for dog walks Monday through Saturday, with flexible time blocks from morning to evening (6am–10pm). Sundays are my off day. I’m happy to work with one-time walks, weekly routines, and recurring midday potty breaks—whatever keeps your pup happiest and most consistent. Safety comes first on every walk. I double-check harness/collar fit, use secure leash handling, and stay alert to surroundings. I avoid on-leash greetings unless you request them, give dogs space from triggers, and keep walks calm and positive. I’ll follow your routine closely and send photo updates each visit.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds for about 30 yrs, helping neighbors, friends, and family with walking, feeding, bathing, and daily routines. I’m calm, patient, and playful, and I’m comfortable supporting puppies, seniors, anxious dogs, and high‑energy breeds. I focus on keeping pets relaxed, happy, and safe while following each dog’s unique routine. I focus on creating a safe, calm environment where pets feel secure and understood. I follow each dog’s routine closely, use gentle handling, and keep spaces clean and hazard‑free. Whether in my home or a client’s, I prioritize trust, comfort, and consistent care so every pet feels relaxed and protected. In your home, I keep your pet’s routine steady, calm, and familiar. I follow your instructions closely, maintain a clean and safe environment, and use gentle, consistent handling. I make sure doors, gates, and feeding areas stay secure, and I give your pet relaxed, playful attention so they feel comfortable and protected while you’re away.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats since a child. As an adult I’ve fostered several dogs to help find them homes. Big animal lover who likes structure. I don’t let my pets in the kitchen and try to teach them not to beg. I currently have open availability, so plenty of time to help play with your pups and care for them while you’re gone. Whether it just be for a few hours, or overnight. I have a smaller backyard, but it fenced, and available for pets to use. I live close by a gorgeous park, so love heading for walks, & playing catch somewhere nearby.

About: I've taken care of dogs, since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. In my family we have all ways had 2 small dogs, and now I have my current dog of 5 years, love him so much like my baby, sleeps and cuddles with me all the time. I'm currently a stay at home mom, so I have plenty of time to play/walk with your pups! I'm available for dog walking, while my son is in school and in the afternoon. Open availability on the weekends. I think trust is important when it comes to animals. Animals need to smell you first to get to know you. I always let an animal smell my hand and then I’ll ease into petting them once I can tell from body language if they want me to.
About: I personally have had two dogs for 10 years whom I have cared for with pure love and attention. I have taken care of family pets as well when out of town to ensure pets still feel like a human is there to support and love them. Pets are just as much family as humans and I wholeheartedly believe that! I have a lot of time on my hands since I am currently unemployed out of choice and I am just looking to make work feel fun again before jumping back into full workforce again. I keep a close eye on pets in clients homes to ensure they are abiding by house rules while still getting to enjoy their time at home. I know sometimes dogs can be runners because I have one so I am always vigilant about doors and where they’re going to lead to. Dogs are sneaky and smart and that’s what makes them so fun but sometimes they get up to trouble so I ensure they stay on their best behavior by redirecting.

About: I have cared for animals my entire life, because I grew surrounded by them. My goal is to work with any type of animal. Currently I’m studying to become a veterinarian, having this opportunity helps me get more experience and become better at it. Besides my personal life, I’ve taken courses in college to understand better animal behavior and learn more about it! I’ll always do my best to keep your loved ones safe and happy! I’m currently studying in College, but I have plenty of time after 2pm during Monday to Thursday. During Friday and Weekends I’m free and always available for any services! I live in a house that has plenty of space and is fenced. I also have a really friendly dog that loves to play around animals. If your fur baby is more comfortable inside the house, we have plenty of space inside where they can run and play!

About: Growing up with animals my whole life I’ve always had a fond love of my pets. I’ve watched numerous family and friends animals while they were away and loved spending time with every one of their pets. I furthered my education by obtaining a bachelors degree in animals science and working in vet medicine, it’s to safe to say it’s my passion! Can’t wait to meet your beloved pets! My schedule is flexible enough to maintain your pets normal routines and schedules! Other than work my priority would be your pets! I have a strong love and passion for taking care of animals and take pride in giving the best care to your pets while you’re away! Having 2 dogs and 2 cats of my own, I understand just how important our pets are and how we love them like family. I am passionate about providing the best care for your pets as I would care for my own. I strive to ensure your pets are provided for in the best way possible that fits all your needs and provides comfort and peace of mind to you and your family.

About: I’ve always had a dog in my home all 23 years of my life. “Mali was absolutely wonderful dropping in on my cats the past 3 days! She gave my kitties lots of love and made sure their needs were met. She even made sure to play with them each time she visited. She definitely gave me peace of mind being away from my fur babies for a few days! Not to sound weird, but I have cameras in my apartment (to check on kitties during shorter trips and I told Mali about them when hiring her), and I could just see how caring she was toward my cats each time she dropped in, giving plenty of pets and treats! I will absolutely be booking Mali again for future drop ins! She is kind, caring, respectful, and communicative! Highly recommend!”

Leslie is truly phenomenal. She goes far beyond basic house sitting, and the cats absolutely adore her. She keeps me updated on everything happening at the house, from dealing with ants to bringing in the garbage cans. The best part is her daily updates with commentary and photos, which I genuinely look forward to every morning.

Naomi is the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) pet sitter! I’ve run out of words to describe how wonderful she is. Naomi is, quite simply, the gold standard of pet care. She has been watching my two cat's Lucius and Batrice, and her level of dedication is unmatched. She is professional, highly communicative, and incredibly caring. It’s such a relief to know that while we’re away, our pets are not only safe but genuinely happy and loved. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable and goes the extra mile every single time, Naomi is the one!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
