About: From a very young age, I helped my family take care of our family dogs. As an adult, I have one dog and two cats in my family. I love playing with them, taking my dog for walks, and making sure that they have enriched, happy lives. I have also been trusted by family and friends to take care of their pets while they are away. I know how hard it can be to be away from our pets and would love to help take care of your animals! I work during the day on weekdays during the school year. During school breaks, I have more availability. I am available for drop-in visits in the afternoons or evenings, or more flexibly on weekends. I'm happy to work around your schedule as much as possible. I love going for long walks, so your pup will get lots of exercise on a walk with me. I understand that not all animals are immediately comfortable around new people, so I will let your pet take the lead when engaging with me.

“Erica has taken care of feeding, walking and playing with Kona (a 150 lb drooling Newfie) twice. She is outstanding. Professional, clearly knows dogs, trustworthy and an overall rockstar!”

About: I grew up on a farm taking care of farm animals of all ages, sizes, and species. I now own 2 kitties and 2 horses while I am finishing my masters in marine resource management! Being an animal person is kinda my thing! I spent 6 years of my life shadowing, volunteering, and near the end, working in vet clinics. It wasn’t until I went out to sea for NOAA that I realized I wanted to go into environmental studies. For now I can’t own my own dog due to the lack of a yard at my apartment, but dog walking seems like a great compromise! Not to mention, I have been walking horses around my entire life, which are basically large, unpredictable dogs. Dog walking would be lovely for me since I am in the middle of writing my thesis. Taking a break throughout my day is much needed for my personal sanity and productivity! Plus, dogs AND walking, say less. Since I have two cats my place is not the best for dogs that aren’t kitty friendly, but if I feel comfortable with a dog I don’t mind bringing them over. I house sit for the gals at my barn now, plus I’ve house sat all throughout high school and undergrad. Following directions and being respectful are extremely important to me.

About: Please note: our beloved golden retriever, Charlie, has been diagnosed with a heart tumor and pulmonary hypertension. We are on a hiatus from dog sitting for this period of time while we care for him and give him all the love we can for the time we have left with him. We will update our calendar as we’re able, and look forward to a return to sitting when it is appropriate. Thank you for understanding. We are a dog loving family with experience from puppyhood to senior care. We’ve raised dogs from breeders and we’ve fostered/rescued. One of our beloved pups had a severe genetic heart disease, so we’ve dealt with medical conditions and the accompanying drugs and modified care they require. Through all of our canine experiences, we’ve learned that dogs thrive with consistency, positive reinforcement, and lots of love and affection. Our two retrievers are a huge part of our family, and we look forward to your pup falling in with our routines like he/she is one of our own. I work from home Monday-Friday. Your dog(s) would spend their weekdays joining our two dogs either curled up at my feet or playing in our fenced-in backyard. On weekends and evenings they’ll enjoy the extra company of our dog-loving teenagers, who will spoil them rotten with walks, playtime, and lots of attention! We have a big, fenced in yard so the dogs will get plenty of outdoor time. For the most part, your dog(s) will have free rein to be with our family and our dogs doing whatever we’re doing — but we do have several crates and portable fences that we can use as needed to provide separation and quiet time. We want your dog to be comfortable and happy in our home, so we’ll work closely with you before your visit to make sure we understand his/her habits and routines!

About: I am a nurse and am currently focusing on finishing my degree. I have always had a soft spot for dogs ever since I was a child. In the past, I exclusively cared for the pets of friends and family. I have recently joined Rover and am excited to turn that passion into reality. I have had my own dogs (3) for around 12 years and have cared for them in all aspects of life. I will treat your fur child as my own ❤️ I am a part time student so I will have plenty of time to spend with your dog. I have availability Monday - Thursday to accommodate most work schedules. Friday availability is limited but please ask. In short, my two dogs are my children; and I will treat yours as such. However, I do drive a Jeep and live close to hiking trails that would be perfect for an on-leash walk. Of course that would be up to your comfort level. I look forward to meeting you and your pup!

About: Hey, I’m Lucas! I’m from South Kingstown, RI, and I’ve been around animals my whole life. Right now, I live with two dogs, two cats, guinea pigs, and even some reptiles, so I’m pretty used to taking care of a variety of pets. Currently, I’m a full-time security guard supervisor and a full-time student at URI. While my schedule is busy, Rover allows me to combine my love for animals with the flexibility I need to support myself through college. I’m here to do what I love: care for pets, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy while you’re away. Whether it’s walking dogs, playing with cats, or just making sure your pet is comfortable while you’re away, I’m here to help. I am a full time security guard and student at URI but I can house/pet sit any night from 8pm-8am. I am also happy to do stop ins, and walks in the mornings. I am very experienced with a lot of animals, and all at once. If you need someone who genuinely cares about your babies I’m your guy!!

About: I love all animals more than I can even grasp, and nothing is too big of an ask for them. I’m a larger man so if they need to be picked up to be brought outside or anything were I would have to go the extra mile for them, I gladly will. Ill make sure your pet gets more then enough play time, nothing is worse then having energy you can’t do anything with! Long walks don’t bother me at all and if your pet has toys I’ll find there favorite one!

Erin R.
“We feel so very fortunate to have Erin caring for our dogs. Pickles and Peaches are French Bulldogs which can overheat easily when it gets warm outside. Erin is so careful with them taking them for walks when it's a cooler day or playing with them inside on warmer days. She always sends daily updates on how they are doing. I think she loves them almost as much as we do!! Very caring and professional, can't say enough good things.”

Charles C.
“Silas is our very energetic Pit/Bully mix. We couldn't be happier with our walker, Charles, who is punctual, friendly, and clearly loves dogs. He takes Silas on long, engaging walks, ensuring he gets plenty of attention. Charles also sends us updates and photos, which is a wonderful touch to keep us reassured that Silas is in good hands. Silas always comes home happy and tired, which is exactly what he needs. We highly recommend Rover and Charles' services to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker. Five stars!”

“Rachel is absolutely wonderful! She has watched my pets many times now and they all love her. I have a lab/American bull dog mix, a cat, a guinea pig, 6 chickens, 2 ducks, a goose, a betta fish, and an army of plants. Rachel is very attentive and responsible. She is very flexible and has stayed over at our house to care for the “farm” when we go away for longer trips but is also great for daily check ins if we travel with our dog. Could not recommend her more highly!”

Lucas S.
“I can’t recommend Lucas highly enough for pet sitting! I’ve entrusted him with my pets on multiple occasions, and he’s been nothing short of exceptional. Lucas is extremely reliable and always punctual- his care gave me peace of mind, knowing my pets were in good hands. He’s also fantastic with communication. Whether it was updating me with pictures, sending messages, or letting me know how things were going, I always felt well-informed while I was away. Lucas genuinely cares about animals, and it shows in how patient and attentive he is. My pets warmed up to him quickly, which is a testament to his calm and friendly nature.
