“Chelsea has really rescued Libra and me. I had emergency spine surgery. At the same time, my dog walker went on a trip that she had planned for 6 months. I was in desperate need of dog walking for my very active GSD/Belgian Malinois. At the last minute, over the holidays, Chelsea agreed to walk Libra for 60 min. Libra loves her. She usually barks crazily when people walk in the hall. Very quickly, Libra learned when Chelsea was expected and waited for her near the door excitedly but quietly. Best of all, Libra takes a nice long nap when she comes home. Thank you Chelsea!!”

About: There has never been a time in my life when I didn’t have a fur baby to love and be loved by. As a child, my mom and I would go on long walks just looking for strays in need of someone to love them. We took in many animals over the years. Cats, kittens, pregnant dogs, the lost and discarded, we have seen them all. A love of animals that has given me an ability to understand their individual personalities and needs. Meet and greets are encouraged prior so that your baby and I can get familiarized with each other and ensure we are a good fit! Please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have. Special requests welcome! Recently retired, so my schedule is pretty much open to loving and caring for your best friend while you’re away or just need a little extra support. Extended stays are ok! I do have a fenced in yard and a clutter free home for your pet to stretch out and make themselves at home. Special accommodations, no problem!
“Timothy did a great job walking Puddin’! Puddin mentioned that Timothy communicated very well, was always on time, and he felt comfortable and confident on his walks.”

“Zeus loves Rachelle! He’s an old man dog and she was very kind with him and I could tell he was happy by the photos we received - he had a huge smile in all of them!! Will definitely be booking again! Thank you again!”

About: I've cared for dogs, cats, and exotic pets my entire life and have multiple years of hands-on experience working closely with animals in professional care settings. I'm comfortable with pets of all temperaments, ages, and routines! Especially experienced with pets who may need extra patience, medication/mobility support, or close attention to behavior changes. I genuinely love getting to know your pets :) I understand how important communication and trust are when someone is caring for your pet, and I always aim to provide dependable attentive care so your pets feels loved and safe while you are away. I currently work at a veterinary hospital three and a half days a week, and my flexible schedule allows me to dedicate plenty of time to the pets in my care. I live with my partner, who works from home, so there is typically always someone around during the day for supervision, potty breaks, and extra attention! We have a fenced-in yard, no pets in the home, and lots of grassy areas nearby for walks and sniffing around! I try to make pets feel as comfotable and relaxed as possible while they're here and adjust to whatever routine they are used to at home.
“Lenny had such an amazing walk, and Shqiponja was very thoughtful and communicative. I really appreciate her being in the area and recommend for all rover related needs!”

About: I have had furry family members since I was 8 years old and happily taken care of the pets of family and friends for over a decade. I currently work full-time outside of the home Monday-Friday. Please take this into account should you have a pet that has anxiety being left alone or has medical conditions that need consistent monitoring. Mornings, evenings and weekends will happily be spent lavishing attention on my house guests. Dog walking hours vary depending on the weekday. Weekends have additional hours available. Cats: A full house with lots of sunlight for my furry houseguests to sun themselves. Cats are welcome on all furniture and cuddles are an extra delight but we understand that some guests like their personal space. We are happy to follow any care guidelines requested by their pet parent(s). Dogs: Check-ins and walks will be done as requested by pet parent(s). At this time due to my work schedule I cannot accommodate overnight doggy visitors. (hoping to change that in the near future)

About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 15 years, and it truly feels more like a passion than a job. As a pet owner myself with both a dog and a cat, I understand how much love, attention, and patience our animals need to feel safe and happy. I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets while you’re away, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or keeping routines consistent, I always make sure your pets feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for. I am currently working part time at a max of 28 hours per week so I have plenty of time to help take care of your fur baby. I am happy to follow your instructions on the care of your fur baby. If there are any areas that you want to avoid on walks please let me know. My own dog is reactive so I know how to redirect or avoid any conflict.
“Saul is absolutely amazing. He has quickly become one of Levi’s best friends. Anytime he comes over my pup is over the moon. Always cordial, snaps the best moments of Levi and goes the extra mile. While gone Levi has on occasion gotten into my medical journals. Saul goes out of his way to pick up this journal pages. I can’t say enough.”

About: I have a senior dog of my own, who I have helped raise since she was a puppy. Therefore, I know how to care for dogs of all ages, and am trustworthy to do so! I have also occasionally babysat a pair of puppies in favor to a friend! French bulldogs, specifically. Every day of the week, I am responsible for feeding, cleaning up after, and caring for my dog and three cats. Making them happy is my top priority! On Sundays, I volunteer at my local cat café to provide this same care. I have developed very close relationships with these cats, as if they were my own! I know every pet is different, therefore having different needs or guidelines that must be followed. I will make sure every pet under my care receives the same love and attention, no matter how that may change depending on your pet’s specific needs!
Richmond dog parents share their Rover experiences
I highly recommend Alexys for your pet care needs! I’ve been working with her for about a month, and she has quickly become one of my most trusted, go-to sitters. She is incredibly professional, kind, and communicates effectively, which I truly appreciate given my busy schedule. Most importantly, she takes wonderful care of my dog; I can see how comfortable my pup is with her, and the frequent updates during bookings give me complete peace of mind. Don’t hesitate to reach out to her!

Jack has been absolutely wonderful with our dogs, Birdie and Lucia. From the moment they met, Birdie didn’t even look back once she started walking with Jack, and she’s thrilled after every walk. Jack is very in tune with our dogs’ different personalities and needs, and we are so grateful to have someone so kind and trustworthy to care for our pets.

Wow talk about going beyond the call of duty! I recently moved and my pup is not taking it to well and was having a lot of separation anxiety when I left for work. I booked Artesha as a last minute cry for help and she accepted and walked him within 20 minutes of my request! Truly amazing !

Katie is awesome! She's so great with my dog, very communicative, and has been so flexible with her availability. Toby can be a little stubborn on his walks, but she handled that with grace and care and I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, well-equipped walker or sitter
