About: I have had dogs since the day I was born and wouldn't want it any other way! Family and friends have relied on me to care for their pets for years, and they have been confident in my abilities as a former employee at a 24-hour emergency animal hospital. I'm experienced working with a variety of breeds and temperaments, including reactive dogs with behavioral challenges. I am well versed in force-free positive reinforcement methods. Professionally I work as an epidemiologist, so you can also be sure I am taking all health and safety precautions! I am also available most afternoons/evenings and on weekends. I can drop in for walks and to spend time with pups in your home during these times too! I do everything I can to keep your pet comfortable and stress-free! Being the owner of a reactive dog I understand how important it is to mantain a schedule, enforce training, and take safety precautions. I have a firm understanding of animal body language and knowledge of how to behave around dogs of all temperaments!
About: Hi, I’m Destiny, a lifelong pet lover with years of experience caring for both dogs and cats! I’ve had cats in my family since I was 8 and have had my own cat for almost 4 years. I’ve also cared for and walked all size dogs from a chihuahua to a great dane, including my own family dogs back in high school. I know how important it is to provide pets with personalized attention, exercise, and enrichment. Whether it’s a high-energy walk, a relaxing stroll, or playtime with your furry friend, I make sure every pet gets the care they deserve. I’m also experienced with leash training, enrichment activities, and handling larger dogs. I'm happy to go over any specific instructions or needs for your pet to make sure they get care you want and the love they deserve! I'm currently working a full time job and looking for some extra work to make ends meet. I'm available all weekends and early mornings or evenings until sunset through the week. I'm also in the Albany area and can absolutely make a mid-day walk work if that's what you or your pet needs! With one cat at home, I can absolutely accommodate other kitties overnight. Unfortunately, dog sitting is not an option for me at the moment but I'm willing to go the extra mile to drop in for visits, walks, and can crate or settle them down when leaving them.
