“Katie was very communicative and responsive. She sent thorough updates and photos, and is very friendly and reliable. She took the time to understand each of our kitties’ personalities, which we really appreciated. We’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“Natasha did a great job with our kitties! This was our first time using the Rover app and we were a little nervous about it, but Natasha sent us updates that put us at the ease (including letting us know when we had packages delivered) and we came home to happy kitties. We will definitely reach out to her the next time we need a sitter.”

“Dylan’s communication was fantastic and showed up for my pup and made sure she was comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you Dylan, we appreciate your time and the care you provided so we could enjoy our time away!”

About: I have been dog sitting dogs since I was a teenager. I have experience with many different breeds both big and small. Since I don’t have any pets of my own right now I love being able to go meet new furry friends and play with them I have a pretty flexible work schedule. I can make my own schedule based off of the needs clients may have. Depending on when your pets need care I can adjust my schedule accordingly It is my pleasure to keep your pets company while you are away. I am happy to help out with whatever is needed. I am reliable and will keep your pets company while you are away.
“Maria was over the top amazing with my dog Brooke. After many attempts to find a pet sitter through our neighbors we decyto try River for the first time. Maria was the first to pop up near our home and was the perfect match! She even said she notice we were a bit in need and was gracious enough to try us for the first time. Maria came early for our first meet up, asked the right questions and is an absolute delight! She sent us pictures and positive feedback through the care process. Unfortunately, we were supposed to go camping for the entire weekend but due to lots of rain we had to cut the weekend short and I felt kind of bad but she was incredibly kind and understanding and helped me through the entire process seamlessly. I can’t thank her enough and am looking forward to our next visits with her and feel relieved to finally have a loving and caring responsible and professional pet sitter for Brooke. Maria is practically perfect in every way”

“Merissa and Nick were wonderful sitters for my dog Buddy. They checked in multiple times to update me on his progress and were very professional and caring towards myself and Buddy's needs. I would highly recommend them as dog sitters for anyone looking for a reliable sitter.”

About: I have been caring for pets for friends and family for many years. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty when it comes to cleaning up pet messes. Plus I love sending photos to owners to assure them that their pets are happy and cared for. I am mostly available weeknights and weekends. I am currently working full-time, but I have the ability to check in on pets during the day if needed. Weekday mornings are usually a little busy for me. While I cannot currently offer housing for pets in my home, partly due to a cat diva, I can promise to be respectful of any home I enter.
“Juliana was a fantastic dog sitter ! She was really prompt with communication, sent pictures of my pets, and overall was incredibly professional. She also let me know when small accidents happened, like when my dog knocked over a houseplant while he was playing or when he chewed on his leash. She was patient and did GREAT with my large, high energy 2 year old poodle. I’m very grateful to have a resource like her nearby and I look forward to hiring her again”

“Sophia did a great job caring for our two cats for a week while we were on vacation! She was great at sending updates, including pictures and videos, and made my shy kitties comfortable. I highly recommend Sophia!”

“This is my second time booking with Deb and won't be my last! She really cares for pets as if they're her own and goes above and beyond. She sends detailed updates about the stay, sends pictures and tends to all the needs requested --she was so kind to even give my cat a toy to keep! I have 100% confidence in Deb and know my cat is loved in Deb's care.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Albany
We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter than Gabby! She took such great care of our cat, Mars, and our dog, Ruby, while we were away for two weeks. It was obvious from the updates and photos that they were both happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Mars can be a little particular, and Gabby made sure he got all the cuddles and attention he loves. She also made sure Ruby got her daily walks and plenty of love. Knowing they were in such caring hands gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Gabby was reliable, communicative, and treated our pets like they were her own. We came home to two happy, healthy pets, and we are so grateful for everything she did. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone kind, dependable, and genuinely caring. We will absolutely be booking with her again!

Alicia was communicative, trustworthy, and flexible with the changes to our original plan. I love how she always sends multiple pictures and detailed updates about how the cats are doing. She went above and beyond and I will 100% be reaching out to her again when we need cat care!
Firstly, Kaeleigh is kind and reliable. You can tell she has a lot of experience with cats and I trust her with my own. One of the things I appreciated most was before she accepted the job was that she suggested to have a meet with the cats to make sure everyone was compatible. My cats loved her and I'm sure yours will too!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
