“Dylan’s communication was fantastic and showed up for my pup and made sure she was comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you Dylan, we appreciate your time and the care you provided so we could enjoy our time away!”

“Karen was amazing at caring for our two cats while we were away for a week! Both were looked after lovingly and I appreciate how much Karen communicated with us and how reliable she was! Karen managed to bond with our more shy cat and get her to take her medicine. It was wonderful knowing Polly and Vinny were in good hands!”

“Kellie was great. She sent us some cute pictures of Charlie and the details of each visit. She is very professional and friendly and we are happy that she took great care of Charlie. Would definitely recommend!”

“Sophia did an amazing job watching my 2 dogs! She sent detailed updates, lots of photos, and went above and beyond to make sure they felt comfortable while I was gone for 10 days. She maintained a high level of communication and I never had to worry. I highly recommend her for taking care of any pet you need!”

“Anna is literally the best! She has been doing drop in visits for only a week and I feel so comfortable not only with my babies but having her in my home. She takes the time to give me a detailed report of how the visit went and what they are up to! Thank you so much Anna! We appreciate all that you do!”

“Ashlyn had great communication and sent several cute photos every day! She went out of her way to make sure she know what my cats enjoyed, and to provide them those comforts while we were gone. I felt like they were in great hands all week!”

“Laney has been doing drop-in visits for our new puppy for the last two weeks while we're at work and we are so delighted to have her help! Our puppy absolutely adores her and enjoys the time to play and have some company midday. Laney is super responsive and great to work with :) Highly recommend!”

About: Dogs and Cats are basically my life, I have always loved and worked with animals growing up. I currently have a 9 year old Blue Nose Pittie at home as well as 5 year old Domestic Cat and 1 year old Domestic Cat! I love all breeds and sizes! I worked at East Greenbush Animal hospital for 3 years and although I have a new job, through working there I have gained experience not only through my animals but others as well. I love going on walks with dogs and letting them have the most fun they can! Whether your pet is down to earth, hyper off the walls or in the middle, I’d love to be able to visit and help out! I can not stay over night with your pets, but can let them out in the morning and evenings! I am looking forward to seeing all the dogs and cats Thanks! I can go before my work in the mornings, during the late afternoon once I am off work, and later at night to help with your pets. I always make sure your pets are comfortable in the environment they are in, keeping them safe and at peace is a huge roll while sitting.
“Merissa and Nick are the best pet sitters I have ever had, because they care and go above and beyond!! Besides the very helpful daily updates on my cat’s food, drink, litter box usage and general behavior, they sent me some of the greatest photos and videos of Hodge, many showing them playing with my very social fur baby. When I returned home after a 10-day trip, the house was immaculate and my mail and newspapers were neatly piled up on the kitchen counter. I knew that with Merissa and Nick my cat was getting the best care possible and was very happy, which gave me complete peace of mind to enjoy my vacation.”

“Juliana was a fantastic dog sitter ! She was really prompt with communication, sent pictures of my pets, and overall was incredibly professional. She also let me know when small accidents happened, like when my dog knocked over a houseplant while he was playing or when he chewed on his leash. She was patient and did GREAT with my large, high energy 2 year old poodle. I’m very grateful to have a resource like her nearby and I look forward to hiring her again”

“Was great with our 2 cats. Feed, them both, and gave medicine to our Lucky. Spent time petting and playing with them. Arrived on time, and sent pictures of our precious babies. We will hire again. The cats each gave her 2 paws up. :)”

“Barbara was attentive to my dog’s needs, patient with his anxiety, and definitely caring. Doors were left locked and instructions were followed, which is highly appreciated.”

“Katie was amazing! She is incredibly kind and the fur babies loved her. She gave detailed recaps of her visits and went above and beyond while we were away. 🐾”

“Dakota is a lovely and attentive caregiver. My older lady cat needs a daily visit and Dakota was thoughtful and great in her communication. Odie was much more happy and relaxed when I returned. Will definitely work with Dakota again!”

Hannah was an absolutely wonderful cat sitter! She took such great care of our cat and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away, with thoughtful updates and lots of love and attention. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would recommend Hannah to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable!

Destiny really went above and beyond for our pets and our home while we were away. She proved to be super caring and responsible. Not only did she show up on time daily to feed them, she tidied up after them, played with them, photographed them for us while we missed them overseas, and even took the initiative to tend to some plants that started to wilt. Definitely our first choice for future trips. She even seemed to make the shyer of our two pets break out of her shell and become more social. Knowing the care our pets were getting back home really made it easier for us to enjoy our trip fully. We’re forever grateful.

Miranda did an amazing job with my two cats! She left me very detailed notes and tons of photos every time she checked on them. I felt like I was able to relax a lot easier while I was on vacation because I knew my cats were well taken care of. Thank you so so much :)

Alexandra continues to be such a big help to our family! She's flexible, attentive, and the animals clearly love having her visit. We get such peace of mind with her taking care of our dog with medical needs (diabetes). She's very diligent with his medications and monitoring him for symptoms. Such a relief being able to trust them to her care without worrying while we are away!

Katrina did a great job taking care of our five sweet kitties! She was prompt, friendly, and sent pics of our kitties each day. She handled our asthmatic cat's inhaler like a champ and sent helpful updates about our cats that put our minds at ease while we were away. We felt comfortable having her in our home after a very pleasant and thorough meet and greet and we're looking forward to working with her again soon. Thank you so much, Katrina!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hampton Manor. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
