I had to go out of town on a family emergency, and Rachel generously accommodated me into her schedule. At the meet and greet I was instantly put at ease and the environment she creates for the pets she watches is exactly the way that I would keep my house. About: I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I understand that pets are family, I treat every pet in my care with patience, kindness, and plenty of attention. I have always had pets in my life ever since I was a child, I can't imagine a life without them. My husband and I of 26 years have always had a dog and a cat in our home, our 2 kids grew up with them as well. We are now empty nesters and our recent family dog Tank passed last year at 17 years old. Oh how we miss him! We currently do not have a dog, but do have a cat named Cali. She is 12 yrs old, has her own space and typically does not interact with the dogs. Our son and his fiance have two dogs (Corgi and Golden Retriever) that we have taken care of when needed since they were puppies. Neighbors and friends have also relied on us to watch, check in with, feed, walk and play with their pups and kitties. We have a fenced back yard with pool, our grand pups enjoy the sun shelf to cool off and occasionally jump in. We live close to the Pinellas Trail as well which is great for early morning and evening walks. I am comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and other pets. I'm happy to follow your pet's usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and lots of cuddles! My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable and loved while you are away. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pets to learn more about how I can help. I recently retired from my full time job of 30 years, looking to stay active while enjoying my love for animals by caring for pets. I live in a home with a fenced back yard. They are a lovely couple who took excellent care of my dogs while we were on a somewhat stressful vacation. While I was sleeping in a non air conditioned bedroom during a heatwave, with a fractured elbow, my dogs spent a luxury week poolside and enjoying foot massages and beautiful snacks. It’s a wonder that they were willing to get in the car and come home afterwards. I highly recommend booking a stay for your pet.
Our Shih Pooh Harper’s first vacation away and he came home ready for a long nap! No issues. He’s happy to be back home as you would expect, but I think he was looking around our house today for his new friends. I think we’ll find another weekend adventure and send him to stay with Brian and Betty Ann again.
Tucker had the best time with Walter and Athena! He took such good care of our boy when we were gone for the week that Tucker actually misses them!! He was sad the next day that he didn’t wake up with his new dog friend! Will always choose this sitter for all of our future needs! Communication was 5 star! Walter was super accommodating with all of our needs with drop off and pick up! And he was sure to send pictures everyday and give us updates! Thank you Walter and Athena!!

Lillie was wonderful with our little fur babies! Our boys absolutely loved the big back yard! She was easy to keep in contact with when needed! Pick up and drop off was so easy! I had a great experience boarding my dogs with her for 4 days and 3 nights. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, and her whole family made my dogs feel at home. Her two teenagers and husband were very helpful, and my dogs especially adored her daughter — she let them sleep with her, which really helped them feel comfortable and secure. Alex was very responsive during the booking process. We had a meet and greet to make sure our dog Abby was comfortable at her home, which she was very happy to see a fenced in back yard to play.
