About: Hi! I’m Zara, and caring for animals has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the past 6 years, I’ve gained experience through dog walking, house sitting, and fostering a wide range of animals, from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. A lot of my experience is personal, which I think makes it even more meaningful. I grew up with a family dog and learned early on what it means to be responsible for and truly bond with an animal. I also rescued and raised a stray kitten from just 4 weeks old, which was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. I’m generally available most days, with limited availability on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9–1. Otherwise, I’m open and can accommodate a variety of schedules. My name's Mike I've grown up with dogs all my life - parents had a small Maltese, and all my close friends had dogs of all sizes - which I was known to be the designated voluntary caretaker for. I helped raise 2 wonderful blue nose Pitbulls, a French Bulldog, a Golden, a short haired Chihuahua, and 2 German Shepards before I even started college. You should hire me for my ability to properly care for a dog, and my undivided attention. No feeding from the hand, no jumping on strangers, rewarding good behavior (not barking at the door, sitting before food, etc.). You can rest assured that your fluffy bundle of joy will be the center of my attention at all times, and I will always be encouraging good behavior to the extent of the current training of your pet!! I currently live in a large home with no family members or pets, so there's plenty of space for you pet to explore. No trash or clutter on the floor, no dust, no smoke, no sharp objects, nothing in the house that contains typical pet allergies (but please let me know if there are specifics!) I have a senior dog that requires a lot of care. Shandy has been wonderful to make sure all her needs are met and she is properly supervised. She’s also very communicative and does well with my cat (who loves her). If you need a trustworthy sitter, I would highly recommend hiring Shandy!
Our anxious dog shuts down when we leave the house. We had to be out for 12 hours and Thalia was able to get her out for potty breaks a few times and coaxed her to eat a little. She also sent us updates throughout the day so we could feel at ease while we were gone.
Sofia was the BEST! Our pups loved spending time with her while we were away! We recieved daily updates and photos which brought us peace of mind! She took care of our home as well...she treated it as if it was her own! We feel very lucky to have gotten to know her, and we will for sure want her to sit for our dogs again!
