âWe needed a sitter for our cats fairly last minute and Adriana was responsive right away. She kept us up to date on her visits and sent pictures. I would highly recommend her to anyone.â

About: Iâve loved dogs my whole lifeâgrowing up with my own, and now caring for my own furry companion. Professionally, Iâve house-sat and cared for dogs in clientsâ homes, and Iâm experienced with walks because I regularly walk my own dog. I treat every pet like family, sticking to their routine while giving plenty of love, attention, and updates. With flexible weekday and weekend availability, you can trust me to keep tails wagging and hearts happy! Full-time child care director, part-time pup loverâweekday mornings and afternoon walks and open availability weekends. I also offer long term house sitting and drop ins in your home if needed In your home, I care for pets like familyâsticking to their routine with walks, meals, play, and lots of love. Iâll keep things tidy and send photo updates so you know your best friend is happy and safe.
About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every pet. I have a German Shepherd puppy of my own who is currently in training and has already graduated level one classes, so I understand the importance of structure, patience, exercise, and positive reinforcement. He also regularly attends daycare and is very well cared for, which has given me hands-on experience with socialization and daily routines. I know every pet has a different personality and comfort level, and I make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while youâre away. Whether itâs walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to a routine, I treat every pet like family and keep owners updated so they can feel at ease too. I have two cats at home, and caring for my cats has taught me how important patience, gentleness, and respecting each animalâs personality is. Iâm comfortable with feeding routines, playtime, litter box care, and giving cats the calm attention they need to feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away! Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because Iâm great with time management and already structure my days around caring for animals. I currently work twice a month at the hospital as a Patient Care Tech, and I also work retail shifts at the outlets that are usually only 5â6 hours long. This gives me plenty of flexibility and time to provide attentive care, walks, playtime, feeding, and updates for pets. Since I also care for my own dog daily, pet care is already an important part of my everyday life. I am an early riser and can stay up as long as your pet needs! I prefer caring for pets in their own home because it helps them stay comfortable in a familiar environment and keeps their normal routine consistent. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, feeding, fresh water, and lots of care while their owners are away. I also pay close attention to each petâs personality and needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and loved. Iâm respectful of clientsâ homes, keep things clean and organized, and provide updates and photos so owners can feel reassured while theyâre away.
âHannah was excellent. She made sure our sweet babies were in the best hands. She communicated effectively and set all our worries at ease. She sent us the cutest pictures and we are so happy we used her! Highly recommend!â

About: I have grown up with several dogs and cats that I have taken care of. My dad is also a dog trainer, so I often go out on walks and play with the dogs he cares for. I am very active, so your pets will never be bored! My schedule varies biweekly, so I am home every other week. The weeks I am off i have lots of free time, so I can be very flexible. The weeks I do have to work, I work nights, so I can be free during the afternoons for walks or drop-ins. I live without children, so your pets will be my priority. I have a fenced in yard for your pets to play in! I do own two cats and share my momâs small dog part time, so i prefer pets that are friendly with other animals! If your pet needs to be crated I can accommodate that, but I also allow pets on furniture and on the bed if that is what they are used to at home. I am very flexible and am willing to accommodate most things to make your pets feel comfortable.
About: I have owned dogs my entire life and enjoy taking care of them. Walks, playing tug, fetch, or just a good snuggle, I canât imagine my life without them. I get a lot of satisfaction for caring and loving these amazing animals. I do work full time but am available Thursdays after 1:30 PM. Saturday and Sundays are wide open. I can do holidays as well if needed. I currently have one very friendly dog to keep your dogsâ company. I also have a crate if needed to ensure your pupâs safety if they prefer that.

About: Hi! For the past 10 years, I've been the go-to pet sitter for my family and friends, and I genuinely love getting to know every new furry friend. I'm an ER nurse working three 12-hour shifts each week, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability to care for your pets. My nursing background has made me calm under pressure, highly observant, and an excellent communicator. While I hope emergencies never happen, you can feel confident knowing I'm able to think quickly, troubleshoot problems, and keep you informed if anything unexpected arises. My priority is always building trust and making your pet feel safe and comfortable, and to keep them on their daily routine. I let each pet set the pace, paying close attention to their body language and energy level so I can adapt to what they need. Whether that's playtime, a relaxing walk, or a quiet afternoon. I'm very active and love being outdoors, so if your dog enjoys adventures, I'd be happy to take them on nature walks, hikes, or trips to a local park. During house sitting, I provide at least three walks per day and tailor activity to your dog's individual energy level. I live in Somerville and am often around exploring the area, which makes me a reliable option during busy times like summers, weekends, and holidays. I'm also comfortable caring for multiple dogs at once, as that's been the majority of my experience through years of pet sitting for family and friends. My goal is simple: provide dependable, attentive care so you can have peace of mind while your pet is happy, safe, and loved.
âGrace was wonderful. On time.got photos or 3 dogs. Came home to halt calm dogs and a clean house. Grace was pleasant to meet. A pleasure to when with. We will call on her again. Thank youâ

Iâm available to work around your schedule so if your need to be taken care in the morning evening or night make sure to shoot me an message and Iâll see if I can work around you. My dogs are all off leash trained and I have a few acres of land they run around on, going on trails made for them to lose energy
About: I have cared for dogs and cats since I was about 15. I have been responsible for taking care of neighbors animals which included walking, playing, feeding, grooming and potty time. Weekdays I am generally available after 3 pm. I do have a pretty flexible schedule. On the weekends I can be available at any time. I have three cats of my own, Eddy, Nala and Veronica. They are indoor cats but I am currently training them on a harness and leash to take walks on my fenced in backyard.

âWe were visiting the Adirondacks for my sons wedding and contracted with Alissa back in February for an August wedding. We had her stop over 2x the day of the wedding to walk our dog Lilly. She was great with Lilly. Lilly immediately took to her and was so happy to go for a walk. I fully recommend Alissa. If we ever come back to the area we would book with her again.â

âI reached out to Brittney at the last minute one evening and needed someone for the next day. She was great and responded quick to help out. She treated my dog amazing and would definitely recommend and will be reaching out to her again! Thank you!!â

âMeghan was great! The last time we hired a walker, one of our pups didnât walk. He wouldnât leave the house and we had to call in a favor from family. We asked Meghan to meet the dogs and cat before her first walk, and we found her to be calm, polite, and very pleasant around the dogs. They warmed up to her immediately. While we were gone, she walked the dogs twice a day, including the one who was socially anxious. Our house looked great when we got home and the animals were in very good spirits. We will definitely use Meghan again!â

âThanks to Jessika, our first Rover experience was first-rate! Our kitty is in great shape, all his care was completed well, the communications were great, and Jessika put our concerns at ease. The photos helped ease our âseparation anxietyâ. Jessika went above and beyond, and we hope she will help us with cat-care again soon.â

âPayton was great. My first time using this service and was a bit nervous to leave my elderly dog with anyone. But after the meet-and-greet with Payton, I felt comfortable that my dog would be in good hands with Payton. The photos and notes that Payton sent me during her visit with my dog, allowed me to feel relaxed, knowing that my dog was being well taken care of while I was away.â

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
