“I am so thankful for her! My babies were well fed and cared for while I was on vacation. And they had nice clean litter boxes. Loved my daily updates of who greeted her at the door and the funny pictures! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Thank you SO MUCH. I'm planning a longer trip for May so I will be trying to book you then as well!!!”

“I can't say enough about Melida! She was caring, nurturing, and sensitive to our pets' needs. Our dog was spoiled and our cat got attention she craves. I would highly recommend her!”

“Nina was awesome! This was my first time leaving my pets with anyone while my family and I were away on vacation, and she made the entire experience stress-free. My dogs don’t get along with just anyone, they’re very high-energy, but from the moment they met Nina, they instantly connected with her. That gave me a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Nina was extremely attentive and detail-oriented. She sent photos during every check-in, kept us updated throughout the whole process, and even provided photo proof that the house was secure. She also cleaned up any messes, brought in packages that were left outside, and truly went above and beyond what was asked of her. I will definitely book with her again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter! too!”

“Dayana did an exceptional job caring for my large family of pets. As someone who is nervous leaving my pets to travel and leaves an extensive breakdown with notes, Dayana exceeded my expectations. You will not be disappointed to leave your fur babies in her care. She even had her own pet emergency and still made it to my home on time for visits! My pets loved her and when I arrived home it was like I never left! We are so grateful for her. 10/10 experience!”

About: I have had one dog in the past. Her name is Gigi and she is a golden doodle. She is an extremely active dog who keeps me active 24/7. She loves to cuddle and play and is so caring with people and other animals. The most unique characteristic about Gigi is that she has been obedient since the day we got her. Her training was so simple and easy to do. Training her was so easygoing that I learned enough to train my best friends dog Mia. I think having such a sweet puppy like Gigi made it even more fun to care and train for dogs. I trained Gigi and Mia to be able to remain calm in stressful/overstimulating moments, they are both well skilled in recognizing hand and verbal signals. Both are well behaved when hey are not wearing a leash and also very well in controlling impulsive behavior. At this time Gigi is staying with my brother who recently moved to the Coral Gables location so I still see her regularly. I currently work full time so I am available in the afternoons. I am off by 5pm. I am available every weekend, all day. I do plan on having a more flexible schedule in the next 2 months. I personally do not have any pets at the moment. I have had 1 pet in the past and have been trusted by a few friends to care after their pets. I always ask the owner the basic information I need regarding their pets and do my best to ensure a fun and safe environment for all animals!
“Nos gustó mucho el servicio , la comunicación y la disponibilidad en una época tan complicada , Laura siempre súper dispuesta y muy linda Seguro la volveremos a contactar para futuras ocasiones”

“Donovan was an amazing sitter for my cat , May. I was gone for 2 weeks, but I knew she was in good hands. Donovan was very communicative on her moods and eating habits . I received pictures everyday , which eased my mom guilt. Very kind and understanding. I’d recommend Donovan as a sitter to anyone and will be using him again”

“Nathalia was so nice and responsive. I felt extremely comfortable trusting her to look after my cat while I was gone for a few days. She was super attentive to me and my cat's needs. She was punctual, always communicated when she stopped by my house, and very reliable. Would definitely want to book with her again.”

About: What sets me apart is my patience, especially with shy or nervous pets. I take things slow and let them come to me so they always feel safe and comfortable. I’ve been pet sitting for friends for the past 7 years, caring for both cats and dogs with all different personalities. I’ve loved animals since I was a kid and even went/took horseback riding lessons once a week. Since my mom was scared of dogs, I wasn’t able to have one as a child, so I poured all my love into caring for my friends pets whenever I could - playing with them, cuddling them, and giving them the attention they needed. Now I have a dog and I used to have a cat of my own, and both require daily medication, so I’m experienced with giving pets medicine safely and gently. I genuinely love creating a calm, loving environment where every pet feels understood and cared for. I work from home two days a week. My office hours are 8am-5pm. My partner also works a lot from home so your pet won’t be home alone very often. I’m available for boarding during the week (as long as your pet is used to a similar schedule) and weekends. I care for pets by creating a calm, safe, and cozy space. I have a fenced yard and a nice neighborhood for walks. My friendly dog will keep your pup company. Your fur baby is welcome on all our furniture, just like my dog. If needed, I can easily crate your pet or let them stay loose. Whatever makes them and/or you feel most comfortable.

About: I love dogs, every single time I see one in public I simply must ask the owner if I can pet it. I had a childhood dog since I was three and I took care of her throughout her senior years. I changed her diaper, took her on walks, helped to feed her when she couldn’t feed herself and I got really good at hiding pills in bread or cheese! I can’t wait to get to know you and your pet! I have a flexible schedule since I am currently in college so I can work around your schedule. I am available every day early mornings till 10 am, 3-6 pm, and 10:30 till pretty late in the night. I guess I would describe myself as a gentle parent when it comes to animals. I am very stern when it comes need to be but I will not yell at, push, or hit an animal ever. The worst I will ever do is repeated pets and kisses. I watched a lot of “Caesar Milan’s Dog Whisper” when I was a kid so I like to think I am good with dogs
“Kathryn is a very reliable sitter who I can count on! My cat loves seeing her and was very well cared for during my time away. She and I hope to have Kathryn as a sitter again soon!”

About: I have been professionally pet and house sitting since I was 16, but have taken care of animals almost all my life. Some of the animals I’ve personally had the pleasure to own have been a turtle, fish, a hamster, cat, and dogs. Most of my experience is with dogs, ranging from 3 month puppies to 16 year old gray faced seniors that have special needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, following detailed feeding schedules, and giving the necessary patience and attention to animals who need additional assistance. My schedule is flexible throughout the week and weekend, so your pets will get the best companionship, supervision, and care I can give. I will respond as soon as I can with any inquiries or concerns. I provide respectful, attentive care for both pets and homes. Whether it’s playtime, potty breaks, feeding, or simply relaxing together, your pet will be supervised and well cared for. Gia was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter. She took such great care of my dog and treated him like her own. She was attentive, patient, and genuinely caring, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was incredibly helpful having someone so reliable and responsible to dog sit, and I could tell my dog was happy and comfortable with her. Gia kept me updated and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and dedicated dog sitter.

Lourdes was a phenomenal caretaker and went above and beyond for our Laika. She’s meticulous on instructions, communicates well, provides several photos everyday and takes her time to walk Laika. I strongly recommend her! You won’t regret it! We will definitely be using her services again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
