“I was honestly very anxious leaving Paco for the first time with someone I didn’t personally know. He’s a big dog and can be intimidating at first, even though he’s truly just a big fluff ball. From the very beginning, they were incredibly patient—not just with Paco, but with me as well. I asked a million questions and checked in often, and they were always kind, responsive, and reassuring. They kept me updated throughout the day with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs they look after, and Paco was in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and attentive dog sitters.”

“Melissa took wonderful care of our pup, Tehya. She was always prompt and responsive, kept us updated regularly, and clearly has great knowledge when it comes to canine care. Her communication and attention gave us real peace of mind while we were away. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Melissa again and would gladly recommend her to anyone in the Homestead area.”

“I feel so good going to work at a new job leaving my Frances with someone so attentive and loving to Fran’s needs. Katherine has made a home so comfortable for the dogs it makes it easy to maintain Frans normal routine. I feel blessed to have so much care love and concern for my Frances while I’m at work and can’t be home with her.”
“Christine's home environment seems very nice, and she and her children are welcoming. It was evident Fitz enjoyed himself. And got a walk, to boot--which he dearly loves. The sniffs are like reading the daily newspaper (for dogs). We plan to book Christine again, including for boarding.”

“Ivis was professional, friendly, and communicated clearly throughout the appointment. She arrived on time, did a great job, and made the entire experience easy and stress-free. I would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“First time using rover and was worried at first but as I got in contact with nathalia I knew everything was going to be just fine , I would definitely use her again , professional and understanding, highly recommended”

“Casey was absolutely phenomenal watching our boxer, Matzah, this past weekend. From the moment we met her, it was clear how caring, responsible, and attentive she is with dogs. Matzah came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for, which says everything, especially with a boxer’s energy level! Casey kept us updated, made us feel completely comfortable while we were out and treated Matzah like her own. It’s not easy finding someone you fully trust with your dog, and we would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for exceptional doggie daycare or pet care. “Amazing! My first time using Rover or any sitter at all and I couldn’t have picked a better person to care for Roscoe. Andrea sent me a lot of pictures and videos throughout the time he was there which it was great. My puppy loved her, I can tell.”

“Janeth was AMAZING! It’s my first time using Rover and my first time trusting a stranger with my precious little boy. She constantly sent me pictures, took care of Oreo like he was her grandson. I work as a zookeeper at a private zoo/sanctuary with animals such as big cats, small wild cats, canids, birds of prey, and primates. I'm experienced caring for dogs of all ages, administering medications when needed, and making sure they stick to the routine they're used to. My goal is for your dog to feel like they're on a little vacation while you're away. I choose my hours at work and I am mostly remote. I am able to provide around the clock attention to your pups to give them the best experience while you are away! If needed, I have the ability to keep dogs separate to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe. I only take a limited number of dogs at a time so each pup gets plenty of one-on-one attention. You'll also receive regular photo updates, so you can relax knowing your best friend is having a great time while you're away.

I can’t thank Mario and Yanet enough for taking my dogs on such short notice. They were incredibly responsive from the beginning and kept me updated throughout the day with lots of pictures and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. One of my German Shepherds is very fearful of new people, so finding someone willing to work with a dog of her size and temperament isn’t easy. I really appreciate their patience, confidence, and willingness to take the time to make her feel comfortable. It means a lot to know my dogs were in such caring hands. I will definitely be booking with them again for future visits. Highly recommend!

Shae’s first time ever being at a Day Care ever, Melissa had to go way beyond the required to get her under control with the other dogs. She was totally out of control, barking, until Melissa got her to calm down and socialize with the others. I’m so thankful. Hopefully, Shae can make friends. I will send her again and see how it goes.

Jonathan showed my puppy Niko a lot of love and care, and Niko was super comfortable with him start to finish. Niko was calm with Jonathan the moment they met, which was amazing. Despite it being Niko's first time ever with someone looking after him, he was really happy and I can't wait for more stays with Jonathan!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Princeton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
