“Melissa took wonderful care of our pup, Tehya. She was always prompt and responsive, kept us updated regularly, and clearly has great knowledge when it comes to canine care. Her communication and attention gave us real peace of mind while we were away. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Melissa again and would gladly recommend her to anyone in the Homestead area.”

“We are on vacation from Maryland and wanted to spend a day snorkeling and going to the Everglades Nathalia was great! We booked two days before Summer stayed for daycare. Summer is not friendly with other dogs so she made sure Summer was the only dog attending that day. Very kind and considerate and sent me pictures when I requested them 💗 Summer came out happy to see us, and she wasn’t panicking, that’s how I knew she took good care of my little dog!”

“Ynes was absolutely amazing with Maison! Before his stay, she scheduled a quick meet-and-greet to make sure he would feel comfortable, which immediately put my mind at ease. During his day visit, she kept me updated the entire time with messages and adorable photos, letting me know how he was doing, when he went potty, and reassuring me that he was safe and happy. Mai even requires daily medication and a little extra care, and Ynes handled everything perfectly. She made sure he got his meds, gave him so much love, and was incredibly attentive to all of his needs, whether it was cuddles, potty breaks, or just making him feel comfortable. He’s usually very reserved at first, but by the end of the day he was giving her so many kisses, which says everything about how safe and loved she made him feel. I also love that she only takes one pet at a time, which is perfect for dogs who do better without other dogs around. I can’t recommend Ynes enough, and we’ll definitely be booking many more stays with her in the future!”

“Nora is wonderful. It was our first time leaving our puppy with a sitter so we were very cautious. We did a meet and greet and it was clear that she is both experienced and conscientious. She is flexible, easy to work with, and seems willing to provide whatever you need. Lots of pics to settle new parents’ nerves and checked in to make sure we ask her any questions we might have. We look forward to developing a long-term relationship with her.”

“Marbley was a fantastic rover host!!! Finn absolutely loved staying there and playing with her 2 dogs. She sent plenty of photos and Finn was so tuckered out when I picked him up!!!! I’ll definitely use her again and highly recommend her services!!!”

“I was honestly very anxious leaving Paco for the first time with someone I didn’t personally know. He’s a big dog and can be intimidating at first, even though he’s truly just a big fluff ball. From the very beginning, they were incredibly patient—not just with Paco, but with me as well. I asked a million questions and checked in often, and they were always kind, responsive, and reassuring. They kept me updated throughout the day with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs they look after, and Paco was in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and attentive dog sitters.”

“Casey was absolutely phenomenal watching our boxer, Matzah, this past weekend. From the moment we met her, it was clear how caring, responsible, and attentive she is with dogs. Matzah came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for, which says everything, especially with a boxer’s energy level! Casey kept us updated, made us feel completely comfortable while we were out and treated Matzah like her own. It’s not easy finding someone you fully trust with your dog, and we would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for exceptional doggie daycare or pet care. We’ll absolutely be using her again!”

“Janeth was AMAZING! It’s my first time using Rover and my first time trusting a stranger with my precious little boy. She constantly sent me pictures, took care of Oreo like he was her grandson. No worries if your little one takes medicine, she made sure of that too! Oreo loved staying with her. I will absolutely be coming back.”

“Amy took great care of Isla! It was our first experience with doggy daycare and I felt comfortable knowing my girl was in good hands while I was away. She sent me cute photos throughout the day which was nice.”

“Marlene and Frank were amazing with my dog Coco! From the start, their home felt welcoming, clean, and full of space for the dogs to play — including their own playground. It was my first time booking with them, and they made me feel completely at ease by sending lots of photo updates showing how happy and well cared for he was. Their communication was great, and it was clear they truly love what they do. I’m so grateful to have found them and would absolutely recommend them! 💗🐾Marlene, Coco looks forward to seeing you again very soon!”

……………….. Hi, I'm Any, and dogs have always been an important part of my life. I've had many dogs over the years, of different breeds and sizes, which has given me a lot of experience in taking care of all kinds of furry friends. Additionally, for many years I've looked after the dogs of friends and family, so I'm very used to giving them attention, love, and adapting to their different personalities and needs. …………….. I currently live with two dogs: a 10-year-old female Yorkie who is very calm and in her own little world (like a sweet grandma), and a 5-year-old male Morkie who’s very playful. He barks at everyone who comes to the house, but once you pet him, he calms down and gets super excited and happy with any visitor. Even though he barks a lot, he's very friendly and gets along with everyone. Taking care of dogs isn’t just a job for me – it’s something I truly enjoy. I love getting to know their personalities, their routines, and adapting to whatever they need to feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you're away. Whether they need walks, playtime, quiet company, or a mix of everything, I'm here to make them feel at home. My dogs are like my children, and I take care of them with lots of love and attention. I’ll do the same with your pup, making sure they feel well cared for, loved, and comfortable at all times. …………………. Your dog will never be alone. There's always someone at home, and if they need constant attention, I make sure they never go more than an hour without company. I live with my husband, my adult daughter, and my mom, and we all love animals — so your dog will be spoiled by the whole family. We have a fenced grassy yard, perfect for playing and going potty outside. But we also have a closed, secure area if you prefer your dog not to go on the grass. My own dogs are used to going potty both outside and on training pads indoors, so if your pup follows that routine, we can easily adapt. And if your dog is used to sleeping on the bed — that’s totally allowed here too! We want them to feel comfortable and loved, just like they would with their own family. I follow all your instructions carefully. I know how important it is to stick to their routines, schedules, and habits, which is why I always adapt to make sure your pup doesn’t feel the change. If you have any questions or would like to meet us beforehand, feel free to message me. I’d be happy to welcome your furry friend as part of our family!

“Nancy was very welcoming of my high energy dog Leo. She sent me great pictures and videos of him playing with her dog Pepper and updated me throughout the day. She also made sure to ask me about Leo’s daily routine in order to keep it consistent during his visits. I know I can trust her to make sure Leo is comfortable, well taken care and having a good time in her home!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Redland commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
