“I can't say enough about Melida! She was caring, nurturing, and sensitive to our pets' needs. Our dog was spoiled and our cat got attention she craves. I would highly recommend her!”

“Nina was awesome! This was my first time leaving my pets with anyone while my family and I were away on vacation, and she made the entire experience stress-free. My dogs don’t get along with just anyone, they’re very high-energy, but from the moment they met Nina, they instantly connected with her. That gave me a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Nina was extremely attentive and detail-oriented. She sent photos during every check-in, kept us updated throughout the whole process, and even provided photo proof that the house was secure. She also cleaned up any messes, brought in packages that were left outside, and truly went above and beyond what was asked of her. I will definitely book with her again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter! too!”

“Serena went above and beyond to make me feel super comfortable with her taking care of my baby. She was always sending me pictures, videos and texts! She even brought in some packages that were outside my door and put my trash bins back to where they are! My baby loves her and even ate from her hands! I felt so good knowing they are in good hands. I recommend her 100%! Thank you Serena!!”

“Donovan was an amazing sitter for my cat , May. I was gone for 2 weeks, but I knew she was in good hands. Donovan was very communicative on her moods and eating habits . I received pictures everyday , which eased my mom guilt. Very kind and understanding. I’d recommend Donovan as a sitter to anyone and will be using him again”

“Kathryn is a very reliable sitter who I can count on! My cat loves seeing her and was very well cared for during my time away. She and I hope to have Kathryn as a sitter again soon!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats while coworkers, friends, and family are on vacation. I handle feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and medication if needed. I understand how important routines are for pets, so I make sure to keep them comfortable and stress-free while their owners are away. I’m patient, attentive, and great at reading animal behavior, whether it’s an energetic puppy, a shy cat, or a senior pet that needs extra care. I send regular updates and photos so owners feel confident and at ease. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and happy in my care. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! Whether I’m boarding, doing drop-ins, or taking your dog on a walk, I follow all instructions closely and stick to their routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m always attentive to doors, gates, and windows are secure to prevent any accidents or escapes.
“Nathalia, as before, took excellent care of Mikey and Sylvie. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to feel comfortable that their pets will receive the care that you would give them, yourselves.”

“Laura watched our cats for nearly 2 weeks while we were out of town. I was able to relax and not stress thanks to Laura. The next time we go out of town we will be booking with Laura again.”

About: I have been professionally pet and house sitting since I was 16, but have taken care of animals almost all my life. Some of the animals I’ve personally had the pleasure to own have been a turtle, fish, a hamster, cat, and dogs. Most of my experience is with dogs, ranging from 3 month puppies to 16 year old gray faced seniors that have special needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, following detailed feeding schedules, and giving the necessary patience and attention to animals who need additional assistance. My schedule is flexible throughout the week and weekend, so your pets will get the best companionship, supervision, and care I can give. I will respond as soon as I can with any inquiries or concerns. I provide respectful, attentive care for both pets and homes. Whether it’s playtime, potty breaks, feeding, or simply relaxing together, your pet will be supervised and well cared for. I also take pride in keeping homes clean, organized, and well maintained, so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of animals for a long time. It’s honestly been my life. I would say I have lots of experience and willing to learn more of course. But you can entrust me with your pets. I’m almost always available to take care of your pets! Just let me know a few days ahead of time and we’ll be set. And I can always make adjustments to fit your pets into my schedule. I have a large fenced in yard, so your pets are able to play to their hearts extent. I also have spare rooms where your pet could stay during the night. I do have a lot of other animals because I live on a farm but if your pet is for example reactive or dog aggressive, I will make sure to keep them seperated. We have a lot of room here! If you’d want me to come over to care for your animals, I will be respectful to your space and leave it just how it was when I got there.
“Ruth is super responsive and very friendly with your babies! I had a last minute drop in I only had two hours to find someone and she was very fast at responding and helped me out in a pinch. Our original schedule was for 6 visits and she squeezed in the 7th for us last minute! Life saver!”

“Amazing sitter! She’s an astounding person who’s very selfless when it comes to your animals and pet sitting! Even when the weather was out of everyone’s control she went above and beyond to take care of my kitties! Having someone who has a vet technician background always helps put your mind at ease. She’s very responsive and takes photos of your animals! 5/5 would easily recommend to anyone!”

“Jovanni sent me pics of my babies every time she visited them. She told me about the “talks” she had with each and how the walks went. I was very at ease being away knowing they were being loved on and cared for as if they were her own. ❤️”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 56 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Redland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
