“We’re so grateful for Melida! She showed our pups so much love and attention, really spent quality time with them. You can tell she truly cares—she played with them and made them feel happy and safe. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and making them feel safe and comfortable. I’m very patient, dependable, and attentive to each pet’s personality and needs. I have experience caring for puppies, older dogs, and pets that need extra attention or medication. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always make sure they get lots of love, playtime, and care while their owners are away. I’m currently unemployed so, I’m free anytime Monday-Friday. I can also do the weekends from 8am-1pm or 2pm-7pm. I’m open to any more flexible hours! I make sure pets are always in a safe, clean, and stress-free environment. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions from owners. I’m very careful during walks and outdoor time, and I always make sure pets feel comfortable, loved, and secure in both my home and the client’s home.
“Kathryn is a very reliable sitter who I can count on! My cat loves seeing her and was very well cared for during my time away. She and I hope to have Kathryn as a sitter again soon!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience living with and caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. As a current nursing school student, I bring a high level of clinical observation and responsibility to my pet care. I am deeply comfortable with specialized medical needs, including administering insulin injections, oral medications, and eye drops. Having cared for a senior dog with diabetes and blindness, I understand the patience and gentle touch required for pets who need extra support. My schedule is very consistent! I am a nursing student, which means I have a few set days for classes and clinicals, but I am otherwise very flexible for drop-ins and walks. I prioritize clear communication and will always let you know my exact windows of availability well in advance. Safety is my top priority. I am trained to be observant of a pet’s physical and emotional state. Whether we are in your home or out on a walk, I maintain a 'paws-on' approach to supervision. I am also comfortable managing multi-pet households, as I personally care for a 'mini-zoo' including dogs, cats, a turtle, and even shrimp!
“Lourdes was a phenomenal caretaker and went above and beyond for our Laika. She’s meticulous on instructions, communicates well, provides several photos everyday and takes her time to walk Laika. I strongly recommend her! You won’t regret it! We will definitely be using her services again.”

About: We have 5 animals in the house, we’ve had them since they were puppies and all get along and friendly towards other people and animals. I work from home and take the pups out 5 times a day. Can take them out more if a pup has a weaker bladder. I usually take mine out at the same time but have enough time in the day to take your pup out individually. Everyone really lounges at home while I work or go out but my boy loves to play so we have best of both worlds and doggie beds all over the house if they’re tired or can play in the back yard.
About: I have had one dog in the past. Her name is Gigi and she is a golden doodle. She is an extremely active dog who keeps me active 24/7. She loves to cuddle and play and is so caring with people and other animals. The most unique characteristic about Gigi is that she has been obedient since the day we got her. Her training was so simple and easy to do. Training her was so easygoing that I learned enough to train my best friends dog Mia. I think having such a sweet puppy like Gigi made it even more fun to care and train for dogs. I trained Gigi and Mia to be able to remain calm in stressful/overstimulating moments, they are both well skilled in recognizing hand and verbal signals. Both are well behaved when hey are not wearing a leash and also very well in controlling impulsive behavior. At this time Gigi is staying with my brother who recently moved to the Coral Gables location so I still see her regularly. I currently work full time so I am available in the afternoons. I am off by 5pm. I am available every weekend, all day. I do plan on having a more flexible schedule in the next 2 months. I personally do not have any pets at the moment. I have had 1 pet in the past and have been trusted by a few friends to care after their pets. I always ask the owner the basic information I need regarding their pets and do my best to ensure a fun and safe environment for all animals!
“Nina was awesome! This was my first time leaving my pets with anyone while my family and I were away on vacation, and she made the entire experience stress-free. My dogs don’t get along with just anyone, they’re very high-energy, but from the moment they met Nina, they instantly connected with her. That gave me a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Nina was extremely attentive and detail-oriented. She sent photos during every check-in, kept us updated throughout the whole process, and even provided photo proof that the house was secure. She also cleaned up any messes, brought in packages that were left outside, and truly went above and beyond what was asked of her. I will definitely book with her again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter! too!”

“Donovan was an amazing sitter for my cat , May. I was gone for 2 weeks, but I knew she was in good hands. Donovan was very communicative on her moods and eating habits . I received pictures everyday , which eased my mom guilt. Very kind and understanding. I’d recommend Donovan as a sitter to anyone and will be using him again”

About: Hi, I’m Stephanie! I’ve been providing pet care since November of last year and truly enjoy building trust with both pets and their owners. Skills & Experience: Large Dog Handling: Comfortable walking dogs up to 80 lbs with a calm and controlled approach. For safety, I do ask that larger dogs are fully trained and well-behaved on leash. Time Management & Organization: Experienced in caring for multiple dogs at once while making sure each one gets the attention, exercise, and care they need. Routine-Based Care: I stick closely to each pet’s routine to help them feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. Reliability & Attention to Detail: I’m dependable and attentive, always paying close attention to a pet’s behavior and needs. Exercise & Engagement: I provide structured 30-minute walks and make sure each visit includes both care and positive interaction. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and respect; making sure they feel happy and cared for while you’re away, and giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I’m currently an online student so i have a very flexible schedule! Im available in the mornings, earliest 10am, and the latest at 8pm. I take both pet safety and respect for your home very seriously. I always follow any instructions closely, including feeding routines, medications (if needed), and household preferences. I make sure doors, gates, and entry points are secure at all times, and I’m careful during walks and visits to keep pets safe and under control. In your home, I aim to be as respectful and tidy as possible; cleaning up after pets, keeping their areas neat, and leaving everything just as I found it. I also understand the importance of trust, so I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to provide updates so you feel confident while you’re away. My goal is to create a safe, calm environment for your pets while also giving you peace of mind knowing your home and pets are being well cared for.
About: What sets me apart is my patience, especially with shy or nervous pets. I take things slow and let them come to me so they always feel safe and comfortable. I’ve been pet sitting for friends for the past 7 years, caring for both cats and dogs with all different personalities. I’ve loved animals since I was a kid and even went/took horseback riding lessons once a week. Since my mom was scared of dogs, I wasn’t able to have one as a child, so I poured all my love into caring for my friends pets whenever I could - playing with them, cuddling them, and giving them the attention they needed. Now I have a dog and I used to have a cat of my own, and both require daily medication, so I’m experienced with giving pets medicine safely and gently. I genuinely love creating a calm, loving environment where every pet feels understood and cared for. I work from home two days a week. My office hours are 8am-5pm. My partner also works a lot from home so your pet won’t be home alone very often. I’m available for boarding during the week (as long as your pet is used to a similar schedule) and weekends. I care for pets by creating a calm, safe, and cozy space. I have a fenced yard and a nice neighborhood for walks. My friendly dog will keep your pup company. Your fur baby is welcome on all our furniture, just like my dog. If needed, I can easily crate your pet or let them stay loose. Whatever makes them and/or you feel most comfortable.
“Ruth is super responsive and very friendly with your babies! I had a last minute drop in I only had two hours to find someone and she was very fast at responding and helped me out in a pinch. Our original schedule was for 6 visits and she squeezed in the 7th for us last minute! Life saver!”

“Gia was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter. She took such great care of my dog and treated him like her own. She was attentive, patient, and genuinely caring, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was incredibly helpful having someone so reliable and responsible to dog sit, and I could tell my dog was happy and comfortable with her. Gia kept me updated and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and dedicated dog sitter.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Goulds. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
