I am an experienced and passionate canine trainer and pet sitter, with skills to work with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. My focus is on understanding and communicating effectively with dogs, using their natural language to achieve positive and lasting results. My approach is based on understanding and respect for canine nature. I believe in training based on knowing our dog according to his characteristics and temperament. To work with both, the dog and the owner to help them learn to communicate correctly and above all, I believe in building a relationship of trust and love between the dogs and their owners. Melissa was wonderful with Koda during our trip to Key Largo. He warmed up to her quickly, seemed very comfortable with her, and she kept us updated with pictures throughout the day, which we really appreciated. The only issue was transportation. We paid an extra $50 through Rover for round-trip transportation, mainly so Melissa could bring Koda back to our hotel since we already knew it was a long drive. I had sent her the hotel information ahead of time and double-checked that the distance was okay, and she agreed. Unfortunately, once we arrived, she realized how far it actually was and let us know she couldn’t make the drive. It was just a miscommunication, and she was very sweet and apologetic about it. She offered to refund us, but instead we agreed that she would watch Koda the following day at no additional charge, which worked out great. Overall, Melissa took excellent care of Koda, communicated well, and most importantly, he really liked her. We were very happy with his care.
Melissa was a great choice for my dog Roxy. This was the first time my beagle has been away from home, so we were a little nervous because our dog is very scary and has never been around other dogs, but Melissa made it very easy and she kept me and my family updated everyday. After the 3rd day my dog didn’t have her tail tuck in her behind 😂 anymore she was running around having fun. I really appreciate that Melissa was patience and took her time with my beagle. I really recommend her if you need someone to keep your pet. I give her 10 stars she was excellent and is someone that will take care of your fur baby.
Melissa took amazing care of my furry baby. The reviews about her were 100% accurate. She kept us updated with text, pictures, and videos. If we had questions she answered them promptly. She is also familiar with dog behaviors and made sure to let her explore first and get adjusted when we dropped her off. Melissa also took time to read the profile information and reassured us about the oral medication process my dog needs. I'm very happy with her care and service. My furry pup was happy and healthy. I will be back 100%
My boyfriend and I were headed out of the country for an extended period of time. I needed someone to watch Max and Norman that could keep up with their energy. They each have very big personalities so I was looking for someone who could handle them. Melissa was the first person who came up in my search! She went above and beyond to send pictures and videos each day, she kept them on a schedule, introduced them to dogs they were able to play with and made them feel at home while we were away. She truly treated them like her own. The dogs were so excited to see us at pick up but you could also tell they would miss her- a sign of a great trainer/sitter! Max and Norman will most certainly be back in her care the next time we travel. I can’t recommend her enough! Thank you!

Schedule
I offer personalized services of training, canine education, behavior modification and counseling. I have experience working with dogs as professional for 4 years and I was working in a hotel and school for dogs as a caregiver and trainer. I have schedules available from 7am to 9pm on weekdays and from 6am to 10:30pm on weekends.

I would take care of them as if they were my own, with a lot of attention and care and playing with them to entertain them and decrease the chances of anxiety.
A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs mentally and physically, I will play fun games with which to entertain themselves and develop their abilities. I usually take them out for Structured walks to do comands and explore new scents and socialize with other people and animals at a level they can handle. I have a huge yard, totally fenced so they will be able to have playtime, with me in a 1 by 1 while i get to know them and with other dogs that i consider a good fit for them to enjoy a safe and fun social time.
