“Mayte was contacted on short notice before the Thanksgiving holiday and was a wonderful dog sitter. She was punctual and communicative. My dog loved her and i will definitely use her services again!”

“Nina was awesome! This was my first time leaving my pets with anyone while my family and I were away on vacation, and she made the entire experience stress-free. My dogs don’t get along with just anyone, they’re very high-energy, but from the moment they met Nina, they instantly connected with her. That gave me a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Nina was extremely attentive and detail-oriented. She sent photos during every check-in, kept us updated throughout the whole process, and even provided photo proof that the house was secure. She also cleaned up any messes, brought in packages that were left outside, and truly went above and beyond what was asked of her. I will definitely book with her again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter! too!”

“Adela was great with all my animals! I had her do drop in visits during my vacation. She was very communicative. It was nice knowing my pets were being taken care of and loved while I was away.”

About: I have been around animals all my life. I grew up in a home where animals are treated like family. You have to show them TLC. I currently have five dogs and five cats at home. The majority of them are rescues. I have rescued many animals and foster them until i find a home for them. I am great with any animal and know how to take care of them in any certain situation. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets in my care. My goal is to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping their environment clean and reducing stress during their owner's absence.

“Ruth is super responsive and very friendly with your babies! I had a last minute drop in I only had two hours to find someone and she was very fast at responding and helped me out in a pinch. Our original schedule was for 6 visits and she squeezed in the 7th for us last minute! Life saver!”

She was amazing with communication, texting me with thorough updates and great pictures of my cats. She was also very thoughtful with how much she played with my cats. If I ever need another sittter, I pray that Amanda will be available because she did such a stupendous job. 6/5 stars ez”

“We heavily rely on Sam’s support afforded to Athena, which has ranged from walks to/from dog care and house siting in our place. Sam is a pleasant detail oriented, exceptional communicator that our dog enjoys hanging out.”

“We decided to go on a very last-minute trip, and Serena was so flexible and accommodating. Serena is so sweet, and Mia got along with her right away, although Mia can come off as a little rough at first. I am so happy with our experience overall 🩷 a million out of 10 🥰”

“Where do I start? To say Ameer is an excellent dog sitter is not enough. He is a bright and kind human who is also a professional animal lover. We went away knowing he had our backs and did everything we asked and more. There are not enough stars for him. ❤️”

Noel took care of Moon and Sky as if they were her own cats. She provided them with so much love, attention, and care, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cares about animals and treats them like family. Thank you so much, Noel, for taking such wonderful care of Moon and Sky. I would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and I would gladly book with you again! Highly recommended! 🐱❤️

Gia was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter. She took such great care of my dog and treated him like her own. She was attentive, patient, and genuinely caring, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was incredibly helpful having someone so reliable and responsible to dog sit, and I could tell my dog was happy and comfortable with her. Gia kept me updated and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and dedicated dog sitter.

Alize was incredible. For starters she is extremely professional, respectful and trustworthy. My dog Tyson is extremely particular with people, but he just LOVED her. The drop in visits were 3x/day for a week, and she was punctual for all of them. She made sure Tyson got his daily exercise by taking him out and playing fetch the ball with him. She even showed up with more food for him because towards the end of the week he was running low on some of his food. If you’re looking for an outstanding dogsitter that is reliable, trustworthy and a true animal/dog lover, Alize is the top choice. Our family is blessed to have found such a special person. Thank you Alize!!

Lourdes was a phenomenal caretaker and went above and beyond for our Laika. She’s meticulous on instructions, communicates well, provides several photos everyday and takes her time to walk Laika. I strongly recommend her! You won’t regret it! We will definitely be using her services again.

She was reliable, attentive, responsible, and flexible. When I got home, the dogs were very calm and well cared for. If I needed to reach her during our trip, she responded very quickly. She had questions about the dog care which showed that she was invested in doing a good job. All around highly recommend.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
