About: Growing up I’ve always had dogs in my family. However now that I’m an out-of-state student, I’ve been feeling homesick and it especially doesn’t help that I’m not around any dog love anymore. I heard about Rover through a friend and felt that this would help me with what I’ve been feeling. About: Hi! I’m Sidney, I love all animals and it’s truly important for me to make sure pets are happy and loved when their owners are away. As a pet owner myself, I know how much anxiety leaving pets behind brings when travelling. It’s so important to me to make sure the pets I care for receive the same kind of love I would want for my own cat. Skills & Experience: -Cared for family dogs and cats for 17 years, including daily walks. Provided pet-sitting for 15+ years -Current cat owner of 1 cat for 5 years. -Provided drop-in visits and overnight dog-sitting through rover for 3 years I’d love to help out with drop-ins and walking in a regular basis in my neighborhood. I work 9-6 on weekdays, so I can do morning and evening walks and drop-ins. Also, I can do over night pet-sitting as needed. I’m very responsible and reliable. I can follow whatever safety and care requirements you have, besides taking the dog out mid-day on weekdays.

About: I have had a number of pets over the years from dogs to cats to various rodents and a couple of birds. I currently have four wonderful rescue dogs and two rescue cats. In addition to having my own pets, I've taken care of many of my friend's and family's pets while they were away, and have learned a lot about animal behaviors from volunteering for the Humane Society. I have a lot of flexibility in my daily routine. I can schedule work hours around pet care responsibilities, so I'm available to check-in on, or walk, your pet on short notice, as well as take care of your pet while you're away. I believe that the best way to lessen a pet's stress when their person isn't available is to keep their routine as close to normal as possible. Whether this means regularly scheduled walks or potty break/feeding times or spending time with them in the evenings, I would be happy to help your pet when circumstances arise that take you away from your home and pet.

About: Hi! I've had my cat Olive for 11 years and my dog Bel for 3 years. I have also taken care of close to 70 foster animals mostly kittens, with a few medical fosters, and behavioral issues along the way. I have taken courses on behavioral training for dogs as my own dog is reactive towards dogs, so I am very familiar with dog reactivity. I currently run a small 1 man business from my home and have control over my schedule to provide care to other animals regularly. I also foster other animals from time to time. My own dog is reactive and high energy and needs 3 walks a day usually with a lot of play. My cat is a large maincoon that requires a strict diet and care regimen to keep her pre-diabetes in check.

About: I have had cats in my home my entire life, as well as rabbits, tortoises, bearded dragons, parrots, and more. I do my due diligence to research into animal care on a regular basis, and I am well-informed on different animal behaviours. In my late teens, I worked in a couple pet stores; This both helped provide me with a wider background on animal care, but also helped to develop my research skills and ethical decision-making in pet care. I am a full-time online student, so I am just about always home and engaged with my own pets. I will always treat your pet(s) as if they were my own, and provide plenty them with plenty of love! In your home and in my own, I aim to ensure your pets are comfortable. I do my best to take note of your pet's body language, and will approach in a manner that fits the comfort level of said pet. My first order of business is always to greet the pet(s) briefly. Then, I do the basic tasks (food, water, litter, etc.), and after that I like to sit close by and engage with the pet if they'll allow. I ensure safety by double checking windows, locks, doors, and taking head counts of the pets. I like being able to provide owners with photos of their fur babies to reassure the pets are well-cared for.

About: I have experience taking care of boarding dogs and cats at an animal hospital. I worked for them for a little over a year and have gotten lots of experience with dogs and cats. I used to raise puppies and train them how to sit and have manners for about two years with my parent. I have dog sitting experience and house sitting experience. I also want to note that I am a full time college student, my schedule is below for more information. Just keep scrolling and you will see “schedule” section. Thank you :) I am currently going to school at the UofA full time during the weekdays (my class schedule is listed below keep reading) and would be available most days to come and play with the animals for 30 minutes to an hour in the afternoons and overnight sitting. And on weekends I would be free to play with and walk the animals as needed. Class schedule: Mon 1pm-2pm Tue 9:30am-1pm then 3pm-5pm Wed 9am-2pm then 4pm-5pm Thur 9:30am-4pm Fri 1pm-2pm I do also have a job at the animal shelter for part time. That work schedule will vary but will be no more the 4-6 hours a day. Likely to be on the weekends to avoid conflict with school :) For my personal home, I will not be able to board any pets. Although I am very safe and responsible. My person pet uses a crate just for her safety when I am gone. I am good with crate training as needed for your pets as well. I make sure I clean up after every day and leave the house as clean as I can before you arrive back home to your happy animals!

About: I have 20 years experience caring for all types of animals (reptiles, small animals, cats, dogs with a wide range of medical and behavioral challenges. I work from home so my schedule is fairly flexible. If you are looking for dog boarding at my home the dog/dogs must be minimal barkers otherwise I will welcome their company as my co-worker for the day- I recently lost my senior pet so this home is too empty! At my home I have a fenced in yard with no other pets so your pet will have quality attention (one pet family boarding at my home at a time.) Experienced in crate training/crated dogs. Will only provide treats that are provided by owner to be conscious of potential allergies or other dietary restrictions. Can help assist in potty training or teaching any other tricks while you are away. I don’t allow dogs to pull on walks and will actively work with your pet to reduce this behavior. Your pet will be treated like a member of the family with patience, love and compassion backed my many years experience and training on animal behavior.
