“This was our first time using Rover and I’m so happy we found Griffin! He watched our chihuahua for a week and I think she had a better time on vacation than we did! The kids (and adults) absolutely loved getting the picture/video updates and we so appreciated how they let Tallulah make herself feel right at home. We will definitely be asking for Griffin again next time we travel.”

“Jessica is always flexible when plans change outside of my control (weather, flight delays, you name it!). I really appreciate it and Una loves going to their house! When I drop her off she makes herself at home immediately.”

About: Hi! I'm Michelle, I've been dogsitting for over 9 years for friends and family and finally became a dog mom in 2020--it's the best! My husband, Brad, and I both love animals and are excited to join the Rover sitter community. We are comfortable with dogs of any age and any breed, and would care for your dog as if s/he were out own. We can administer medications as needed (we mostly have experience with oral and topical meds, but are willing to learn what's needed for your furry friend) and are very attentive to your dog's diet and feeding regime. We can't wait to welcome your dog into our home while you are away! Michelle works from home so your dog won't be on their own for long periods while staying at our home. We love taking our dog, Joni, on walks (& runs) everyday (we usually go several times each day) and we have a large fenced in yard for additional playtime, so your pup will get lots of outside time to burn off energy and sniff. Your dog will have full access to our home, just as our Joni does, with a variety of toys and bed options (including couches) available throughout the day. You'll get regular photo updates of your pup's adventures while you're away (unless otherwise requested). My husband and I have a large, fenced in backyard that's perfect for zoomies and playtime, and live in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Our 6 year old pup, Joni, is always looking for new friends and someone to share her toys with (she's up to date on her vaccinations and preventative meds). If your dog is crate trained, we'd be happy to find a space to set that up for them in our home during their stay, or they are welcome to use Joni's old crate which we can set up if needed. Additionally, feel free to bring any toys or bedding/blankets that help make your dog feel at home; we want him/her to have what they need to be comfy while you are away.

“Our pup was well cared for. She sent us pictures daily and updates on how he is doing. I'm sure he loved running around and doing his business in her large fenced in yard as well. Would lover for him to stay with her on our next trip. Thanks Evelyn!!”

“Rhiannon and Rachel were great. Our dog had an excellent stay with them. Would recommend them to anyone looking for someone to watch your dog.”

“Shelly has a great understanding of husky mixes, which made me feel very confident and comfortable choosing them as a sitter. They went above and beyond to ensure my boy had a happy stay and I will definitely be re-booking in the future”

“Dana was wonderful! She’s very responsive and she sent pictures of Pepper’s stay. She has a nice backyard that’s fenced and a friendly dog of her own that provides lots of fun for Pepper! Dana did everything to make Pepper’s stay enjoyable. Will use her again!”

“Angie C is the best. She gave my Bailey the best experience for her first time away from home and me. Angie and her family gave her so much love that Bailey cried when it was time to leave. Angie sent me pictures everyday, even gave her a bath and took her for walks. I recommend her 100%.She was amazing!”

“Brittany is great, very responsive and My dog is always well cared for. He gets lots of outdoor time and is a happy pup upon return. She’s one of my favorite Rovers and we are repeat customers. Big fan!”

“Jay and Katie took care of Moose (frenchie) for 2 nights. Moose tend to have separation anxiety but he seemed to adjust immediately. Having their dog around Moose must have helped a lot because he sees his stay as more of a longer play date. We will definitely book them again.”

“Bo was worn out (in a good way) after getting to play all weekend with Tori’s family. Thank you for taking great care of him! I will call on you the next time we are in Kansas City.”

“Jennifer and her husband were fabulous! I received updates and pictures daily which I loved! They had a very nice home and wonderful backyard for my pup to roam. Will definitely use them again in the future!”

“This was Dooley's second stay with Deanna, and he looks forward to many more! Deanna is so kind and responsive. I know she lets Dooley, who is a senior dog, chill out on the couch with her...that's all he really wants (besides treats!). Deanna has a great [fenced] yard for the dogs to get outside and run around.”

“Telicia was a great sitter for our pup. We enjoyed getting photos during the weekend stay and drop off/pick up were easy to coordinate. Our dog can't wait to spend more time with Telicia!”

Prairie Village dog parents share their Rover experiences
Pepper always has a ball at Sydney’s house! She loves her dogs and Sydney takes great care of Pepper and treats her like one of her own. Pepper even gets excited when we turn onto Sydney’s street. Pepper is always well adjusted and happy when I pick her up. I never worry about one single thing when pepper is with Sydney.

We were in a bind with having our ballgame cancelled due to rain and rescheduled the next day - but our hotel was full and we could not extend our stay. My husband got the idea of looking for a dog sitter on-line. And within a few minutes, Holly agreed to watch our dog during the ballgame. My dog seemed to get along fine with Holly and we were so appreciative that she was willing to watch her at a moment's notice. My dog does not like to be picked up by people she doesn't know, and when we came back to retrieve her after the game, Holly handed her to me. My grandson who was watching from the car asked " Grandma, How was she able to pick her up?" I guess my dog quickly gained trust in Holly. Thanks for coming to our rescue in our unexpected time of need.

Jennifer is highly recommended! Her communication was great and kept us posted on how Teddy was doing during his visit. Our dog typically travels with us and we haven’t been apart for an extended period in about 5 years, and her care and support put our minds at ease while we were away. She wants your pets experience to be loving and positive.

Our golden retriever Callie stayed with Carrie and her family for 3 nights. The process was very smooth, and it seemed like she had a great time! Carrie was very responsive and sent pictures each day. We recommend Carrie and would leave our dog with her again in the future.
