About: Hi! I'm Michelle, I've been dogsitting for friends and family since ~2016 and finally became a dog mom in 2020--it's the best! My husband, Brad, and I both love animals and are excited to join the Rover sitter community. We are comfortable with dogs of any age and any breed, and would care for your dog as if s/he were our own. We can administer medications as needed (we mostly have experience with oral and topical meds, but are willing to learn what's needed for your furry friend) and are very attentive to your dog's diet and feeding regime. We can't wait to welcome your dog into our home while you are away! Michelle works from home so your dog won't be on their own for long periods while staying at our home. We love taking our dog, Joni, on walks (& runs) everyday (we usually go several times each day) and we have a large fenced in yard for additional playtime, so your pup will get lots of outside time to burn off energy and sniff. Your dog will have full access to our home, just as our Joni does, with a variety of toys and bed options (including couches) available throughout the day. You'll get regular photo updates of your pup's adventures while you're away (unless otherwise requested). My husband and I have a large, fenced in backyard that's perfect for zoomies and playtime, and live in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Our 6 year old pup, Joni, is always looking for new friends and someone to share her toys with (she's up to date on her vaccinations and preventative meds and ask that your dog be as well). If your dog is crate trained, we'd be happy to find a space to set that up for them in our home during their stay, or they are welcome to use Joni's old crate which we can set up if needed. Additionally, feel free to bring any toys or bedding/blankets that help make your dog feel at home; we want him/her to have what they need to be comfy while you are away.

About: One of the happiest days of my life was when my parents surprised us with a dog for Christmas as a kid. I follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from owners. My goal is to make every dog feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home while they’re with me.

“This was our first time leaving our dog with a caregiver, so there were some nerves involved. Overall, we had an excellent experience with Michelle from start to finish! She’s was very thoughtful and attentive to Spice, we got to bring her own bed and food and she seemed to settle in right away in Michelle’s home. We got some fun updates along the way, and Spice made a buddy or two while she was there. We plan to make doggy daycare a regular thing since she did so well. Highly recommend and will book again any time a trip comes up.”
