“This was our first pet sit with Emily and it went great! She is super communicative and sent us tons of pictures and updates of our little guy. Will definitely work with her again!”

“We are new to the area and hired Monica to house sit and watch our dog Penny. She offered to come meet us in person before booking, which was so generous. Monica was responsive, kind, and left us with so much confidence leaving her with our dog and home. She was flexible with arrival and departure time, sent us updates and photos, and we will continue to hire Monica again and again- what a gem!!!”

“Bre'ahna was very professional in her approach to house sitting and caring for my dog. She was detailed, responsive and reliable. My dog had been very unhappy after staying at a kennel that I knew well and they took good care of him. But he's a rescue with separation anxiety so I decided to try Rover. When I returned, he seemed happy and not clingy and anxious as he had in the past. Additionally, my house was in good shape, my plants watered and Bre'ahna even washed her sheets for me. I would highly recommend her to take care of your dog in your home.”

About: I have experience with all types of cats and dogs and critters. I not only work as a pet sitter, but I was an independent rescuer and as a Spay-Neuter advocate for the ASPCA in NYC as well. I can administer fluids and medications (provided the cat isn't feral) and I have experience caring for elderly animals and pets with disabilities. I'm guaranteed reliable, flexible, patient, and kind, and I would care for your babes as I do my own. Part of being a good pet sitter is sensing what the cat and dog need, whether it means extra pets and playtime, or to be given space. i want your pet to be happy and cared for. i love all animals and their happiness, safety and well-being mean everything to me. As a part-time freelancer, pet sitting works well with my schedule. I'm available 8am to 9pm. I am not available for overnights, but I will book extended daytime stays if I am available. Cats and dogs deserve exercise, playtime, fresh meals, clean water, and affection. I will never allow a cat outside or a dog off his or her leash unless requested. You can rely on me to lock the door and keep your pet and home safe while you are away.
“Riss was fantastic! I came home to my staff/pit mix being very relaxed and comfortable. It seems like he had a nice time with riss. She was very communicative and shared updates and photos. I highly recommend! Also, the house was spotless, that’s very much appreciated”

“Deanna is a warm and friendly young woman and did a great job of sitting for my two cats while I was away, sleeping over for three nights. She fed them and seemed to genuinely enjoy them. She sent me a photo every day to reassure me. She even cleaned up their vomit without complaining. She left my home neat as a pin, just as she found it. I recommend her and would certainly hire her again.”
“Katherine took our two rowdy boys totally in stride and made me feel totally confident that she had them safe and sound. Lovely pics and great communication. Would book again”

“Laianna was a GREAT sitter for our dog while at a wedding in Kingston! She was responsive to requests in a timely manner and even met us and our dog the day before the scheduled setting to introduce herself to us and the dog. Our dog is shy when meeting new people, but Laianna had a calm demeanor and connected with our dog immediately! Within an hour she was giving belly rubs, having play time and walking on the rail trial! She sent pictures while we were at the wedding and was easy to tell Kiko was having a great time! If I could provide a rating above "5" I would!!! You would be fortunate if in Kingston NY to get her to watch and care for your pet! Thank you, Laianna - you are the best!”

“Lee is the best! He stayed with and cared for our two labradors for a week while we went to Florida. Our girls love him and thoroughly enjoyed their time with Lee. He also kept the house spotless and made sure it was clean for us upon our return. I think the dogs appreciated his musical talents too while we were away. I would highly recommend Lee to anyone in need of a sitter, dog walker, or house stay with their pets. They would be well-loved and cared for with Lee!”

About: I have trained two puppies, and taken care of a senior dog who sadly recently passed. I understand the patience required for both ends of the spectrum. Currently my puppy is just 9 months old, and very sweet with all other pets. I can help with socialisation, or just general care and walking, whatever you need! I am a graduate student in a very flexible program, just working a few hours a week at Bard College, the rest of the time at home. I have access to a yard, and my friendly puppy to play with. I am happy to follow feeding schedules, and can maintain training routines. I have a crate if your dog needs their safe space.
About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs for over 25 years, both in my own home and for others. I am diligent with administering oral medication. I will give your fur baby plenty of care and affection! I am outdoorsy and upon request, I love taking dogs on walks on the rail trail or parks and can provide daily exercise for high energy dogs. I am able to house/pet sit. I am available for walks on evenings after 5:30pm. When I’m not hiking or getting outside I am a homebody and am very available for pet cuddles. I care for pets in their clients home. I feed them, change their water, administer medications, take dogs on walks, and/or change cats litter boxes. I am very active and love being outside so happy to take your dog out on a trail, play with your pet.
“My two sickly, finicky, geriatric pups loved Ja-Laurel! I think they were actually disappointed when we came home :-D (they were hoping to see Ja again). She also left the house spotless and all the potted plants happily hydrated. Many thanks!!!”

“Our experience with Alexa was second to none! She stepped in to dog sit very last minute and treated our Ruby like royalty. We received regular updates with photos and Alexa was always quick to respond. We knew our pup and home were in good hands. Wouldn't hesitate to have Alexa dog sit for us again!!”

“Carolyn was great. She arrived early, was greeted by Bodhi and after a little playing he jumped in her car and off they went for a walk on the rail trail. He really enjoyed the exercise and I’m sure he’ll be glad to see her again.”

About: I have two dachshund of my own! I’ve been hosting for 2 years and would love to continue to do so. Can’t wait to meet your pups! I treat my pets as a part of myself. I make sure they are accommodated. My days aren’t hectic so morning and afternoon+ night routine is established. I have a fenced yard. There’s lots of grass and space for them to run around. So freedom won’t be a problem. I make sure to keep my space free from food and anything chewable.
About: I've taken care of dogs ever since I was a child. After spending over 25years taking care of children I decided why not take care of pets? I retired from the classroom in June and ready to take care of your animals. Just no SNAKES. My schedule is extremely flexible. Retired! After taking care of the special education population for 25 years, I am excited to take care of pets. I feel it is important for the pets to keep their routine and have a consistent schedule. I love your pets like I love my own.
“Great experience with Cassandra house sitting my two dogs while I was out of the country. Dogs seem to have had a great time and it was so nice to get “proof of life” photos and videos every few days. I’m sure hoping she’ll be available to care for them again when I go away inJuly.”
“Elanor took great care of Dax! She has a great dog park and took him on a few walks, and sent photos throughout the visit reassuring me he was doing great. Will definitely book again so Dax can spend time with his new abuela!”

I can't say enough great things about Katherine — we've booked her several times to stay with our girl, Penelope. Most recently, she watched both the house and Penelope while we were away for the holiday break. The entire week we felt totally at ease having Katherine there, and really appreciated her thoughtful and thorough communication.. not to mention Penelope seems to really love having her around, too. We'll happily continue to hire Katherine, can't recommend her enough.

Kira is *fantastic*! Super communicative and friendly, and she took amazing care of our pets and house while we were away. During our trip, we were thrilled to get photos of our very shy cat hanging out with Kira (a rare occurrence for a petsitter), and our very social, attention-loving dog was in great spirits when we got home. We couldn't believe the fresh and clean house we returned home to! We loved having Kira, and will enthusiastically invite her back!

Bre'ahna was very professional in her approach to house sitting and caring for my dog. She was detailed, responsive and reliable. My dog had been very unhappy after staying at a kennel that I knew well and they took good care of him. But he's a rescue with separation anxiety so I decided to try Rover. We had such a great experience with Daniela! They were incredibly communicative, sending us lots of photo updates that gave us peace of mind while we were away. Cricket loved spending time with them and was clearly well cared for. Daniela went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. We would happily book with Daniela again!

Laura was able to come last-minute for a full afternoon and cared for both my new kitten and my cat that she’s met before. There was extra work keeping them separated and with different food requirements, so I appreciated Laura’s attention to both my kitties. Great pics as always, and they’re knocked out from a great play-date!

Nicole stayed with our two French bulldogs while we were away for a long weekend. She did a wonderful job and kept us informed with updates throughout the stay. The boys were well taken care of, as was our house. We would definitely book with Nicole again in the future!

Melissa was a great dog sitter for our furry friends this past weekend. She was attentive to all of the various quirks and medical requirements of the dogs, and was thoughtful about time outside when the weather was poor. She also handled an unexpected indoor potty break very sensitively, even doing a load of laundry to make sure each dog had a comfortable place to sleep. I highly recommend Melissa and will definitely look to her first the next time I need a sitter.

This was our first time hiring Deborah to stay with our dogs and it certainly won’t be the last. It’s been a mixed bag when hiring dog sitters through Rover, but with Deborah’s great reviews we took a chance and were absolutely blown away. Deborah met with us beforehand to meet us and the dogs. She asked us lots of great questions and took thorough notes as we spoke. Then she met with us again the day before to go over everything once more. Her thoroughness and willingness to make sure our dogs were well cared for made us confident leaving them in her care. She sent us regular updates and photos while we were away and it was clear our dogs were very comfortable with her. She took them on walks multiple times a day, and was so attentive to their needs, making sure their schedule remained similar to how it is when we’re home. Then, upon our return, our house was just how we left it (maybe even a little cleaner!) and our dogs were so happy. Deciding to travel is hard for us because it’s so tough to find a good dog sitter, but we’re excited (and I know the dogs are as well) for the next time we have a trip so we can rehire Deborah. We were truly able to relax knowing our dogs were in her care!
