“My mini poodle, Nicky, is 8-1/2 months old, and I had to be away for a weekend. I left him with Michael on Saturday and picked him up late Sunday. Michael has a lovely home with plenty of yard space for the puppy to run and play, and Nicky obviously had a great time. ”

“Comino returned healthy and happy and this is always are biggest concern! We loved the pictures and communication during his stay. Should we ever need him boarded again, we will definitely return!”

“Siarra was BEYOND accommodating and welcoming to my big 85 lb pup. She was also very knowledgeable about dogs and their behaviors which provided me great comfort. This was his 1st stay away from home during the last year and we were gone for 4 days. Siarra made Hershey's first interactions with other dogs at the dog park fun and exciting. She treated him as her own and you can't ask for more than that.”

“Our Golden Doodle & our Pug spent 3 nights with Brandie and her family. The Boys got to play with other dogs in the backyard and be loved by Brandies family! Thank you Brandie, I know they will want to come play for the day very soon!”

“Cymantha was wonderful with our dog Sasco. Sasco gets really shy and sad when we leave her but Cymantha was so understanding and kind. She sent us great updates and pictures that made us feel so much better. Would highly recommend her to care for your dog!”

“ My two Labradoodles stayrd the Memorial Day weekend with Marion Russo. They had a wonderful time playing with her and her dogs. When I brought them home they were relaxed and tired. I will use Marion's services whenever she is available. A great experience.”

“Ciana was amazing! Communication was perfect from start to finish. She was super sweet and caring with my dog, keeping me updated with pictures and videos throughout the stay. She was very responsive and attentive the entire time. I highly recommend her services. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Stacie and her family were amazing! They took such great care of Ginger and gave her so much love and attention. I felt completely comfortable knowing she was safe and happy with them. Stacie was always quick to respond and sent photos while we were away, which we really appreciated. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.”

“Alexis was great. I had to make a last minute booking and she was very prompt to arrange a meeting with my dog and I. I left Nikki at Alexis overnight and she took great care of her. She even accommodated her sleeping needs. Alexis has a beautiful property with lots of space for the doggies to run around and feel free. I will definitely bring Nikki to Alexis again!”

“Kyle was excellent with our senior dog, Oatmeal. He gave us regular updates with photos and our dog felt very comfortable in his home. We will definitely book with Kyle again in future.”

“Christina was amazing! Great with communication in setting up everything. And our dog seemed very happy his time with her during a wedding we attended. She also sent a few picture updates so that we knew he was loving his time with her. Highly recommend Christina!”

“Mackenzie and her family were AMAZING. They took such good care of our pups. Both Lylla and Rocket have separation anxiety issues, and we knew they had been well-loved because they were so calm when we picked them up. We also loved the "Welcome Puppies" chalk drawing that Mackenzie's daughter drew for us. We would absolutely ask them to watch our dogs again!!”

“I would absolutely recommend Liz to take care of your pup. Hugo had a great time and it’s a great space. The pictures she sent were all of our doggie smiling and sleeping and totally comfortable. We will be using Liz for daycare as well as future pet sitting.”

“Couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! From regular updates and photos to thoughtful attention to his routines and quirks, it was clear that Heather and Caleb treated our dog like one of their own. He came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Earl was great to work with! He is easy going and great with animals. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times. I would definitely recommend this provider and we will surely be using him again in the future.”

“Ana and her husband work from home, so they are able to be with your pet 24/7. My 12 year old cockapoo, Mazie, had never stayed overnight anywhere. We were gone for 5 nights! Ana made me feel at peace leaving my pet with her and I never felt worried. She sent photos so I could see that all was well. I don’t think Mazie ever missed me. I highly recommend Ana!!”

“Susan was an amazing caretaker for Ryder this past weekend! She took him on several fun walks and made it feel like a little vacation for him. Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Pope Valley home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
