“Felisha was great with my cat. Sent lots of photos and made sure he was fed and happy. Also brought in my package and was very communicative. I highly recommend her!”

About: I aim to ensure that every dog in my care is taken care of to the fullest extent. Keeping your precious pet safe and loved is my duty. I know just how important dogs are in our lives, so ensuring they get the kind of treatment they get at home is essential. Loving dogs is something that comes second nature to me. Throughout my life, these pets have played a significant role. In my experience, I have watched/raised leader dogs for the blind, my dog, friends/family pets, and my girlfriend's dog often. I have 10+ years of experience working with this beautiful animal, both big and small. When taking on a new client, I'd like to schedule a meet and greet, whether online or in person; that way, we can ensure we're a good fit. That's very important to me, and also, getting able to talk will allow me to learn more about your pet and your care expectations; after all, who knows your pet more than the owner? Lastly, I love meeting new dogs, and they generally like to meet me, so I'd argue your pet, and I will get along incredibly. Being away from your best friend can be really difficult so I make it my goal to communicate as often as possible. I will make sure to give plenty of updates and pictures of all the fun your pup is having.
“Carolina was wonderful and extremely kind! She made sure my two cats were well taken care of while I was out of town, giving them fresh food, water, changed their litter, and made sure to give them extra love/pets. She sent me photos everyday. I highly recommend Carolina!!”

“Stevie is very professional and has an obvious love of animals. She has given us such piece of mind when we have to be away longer than is good for our puppy. We highly recommend Stevie.”

“We had great experience with Stephanie. She’s super responsible and genuinely caring to our cat Coffee. She paid attention to all the details and kept us updated regularly, which really helped us feel at ease while we were away. We felt completely reassured knowing our cat was in good hands.”

“Mackenzie went above and beyond what was expected of her. She also did a great job administering one of our cats medication, which came up last minute. We greatly appreciate everything she did for our cats while we were away and we would definitely recommend her, as well as hire her again. Thanks so much Mackenzie!”

About: Hey there! I'm a lifelong dog lover and work-from-home dog dad who understands that your dog isn't "just a pet"—they're family. My goal is to make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and has an amazing time while you're away, so you can travel with complete peace of mind. I've had dogs my entire life and currently share my home with two energetic, incredibly friendly dogs who love making new friends. They know how to burn off energy with playtime, but they're just as happy relaxing on the couch for a nap afterward. If your dog enjoys socializing, they'll have built-in playmates to keep them entertained throughout the day. Because I work from home, your dog will rarely be left alone. My flexible schedule allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, play sessions, meals on time, and plenty of affection. Whether your dog is a high-energy adventurer or prefers a slower pace with lots of cuddles, I'll tailor their care to fit their personality and routine. I'm also comfortable caring for dogs of all ages and with special needs. I have hands on experience with dogs of all ages and sizes. I am adept at administering medications, including pills and injections, and I've cared for dogs with sensitive stomachs, digestive issues, and mobility concerns. I'll carefully follow any feeding schedules, medication instructions, or special routines so your dog receives the same level of care they're used to at home. I know how important trust is when someone is caring for your best friend. I'll treat your dog like one of my own and your home with the same respect and care I'd expect for mine. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can see all the fun your pup is having while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family member! I work from home standard Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm hours. I go to dance classes Tuesday nights, Church on Sundays and spend the rest of my time with my beautiful wife and our dogs. My free time outside of those commitments I can dedicate to taking care of your doggos. I can also take frequent breaks from work to keep dogs entertained and take them to the bathroom if needed often. I am best situated to have your pets in my home. While they are there, they have couch access and access to multiple rooms. I have gates throughout the house to sequester any wandering troublemakers or for those that need more supervision. I have a fenced in yard for amazing playtimes, and my subdivision has an elementary school with beautiful greenspace for long walks and adventure. I also work in your home, so I will be there if you are booking with me! I make sure to clean up after myself and the pet and maintain proper respect and morals whilst in your home. I just need to have a decent internet connection so I can work during the weekdays.
“Anna has been absolutely exceptional with our dogs! We’ve been using her for a few months now, and she is extremely responsible and gets back to us very quickly. She provides great feedback and we couldn’t feel more lucky to have her taking care of our babies.”

About: Hi! I’m 30 years old and I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up in a house full of dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—my mom always had rescues and mixed breeds, so I’m very comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels. Today, I have my own adopted 16 lb mixed-breed dog, and caring for him has only deepened my love and experience with dogs. I’m confident handling puppies and energetic dogs, and I truly enjoy walks, playtime, and giving them attention and care. For safety reasons, I prefer not to work with dogs that are overly aggressive or difficult to manage. My experience is focused entirely on dogs, so I’m not the best fit for cats or other types of pets. I’m available to foster small dogs in my apartment. I work from home and I’m able to walk him/her 3/4 times a day. I’m also available for drop-in visits between 6 AM–8 AM and anytime after 5 PM. I live in an apartment with a fenced area, which is great for safe outdoor time. I’m also happy to take your dog on walks outside around the neighborhood. I can feed, play with, and walk your dog, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away.
“Arianna was WONDERFUL! She took amazing care of my two cats and made sure they had clean litter, water and got in playtime. She took wonderful photos of them (always a bonus!). Thank you so much for taking care of my boys!”

“Cerra did an amazing job! She was very accommodating last minute and was willing to come meet Abby before so she could see her beforehand. Abby is very cautious of people she doesn’t know but warms up fast and Cerra did a great job interacting with her. I would recommend her to others and book again if ever needed :)”

“Scott was just amazing! He took great care of our pet while we were away. He is very friendly, open to suggestions and is a great communicator (and quick!). His professionalism all in all is awesome. I would definitely hire him again.”

“Megan has been helping us out with our brand new puppy for the past couple months and she’s been nothing short of spectacular with Lily! She’s does a great job at caring for our dog as if she’s one of her own and keeping her well fed, walked, and played in even the short time she spends with her each day. We couldn’t recommend Megan enough to anybody that has dog-watching needs!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
