“Felicia was awesome. She took great care of Gnocchi and regularly sent a bunch of pictures, which were soo appreciated - she also takes great pet photos! I will definitely look to book with her again if the need arises. Highly recommended!”

“Mindy is the absolute best!!! My little guy was in the best of hands. I never worried for a moment! From the minute we met at the meet and greet I knew I could enjoy my time away. Mindy will be our go to person from now on!”

About: I worked at Premier Pet Supply for a year and a half, and LOVE dogs!! I am also very active and am used to walking my 50lb pitbull who knows how to pull😂 I am currently a full-time student who works a part-time job! I have a cat who I love and care for, as well as my mother’s dog and numerous family friends who I enjoy pet-sitting for. I am very active so walks are always fun, and I can watch pets overnight as needed! I am in an apartment right now, so dogs would transparently be difficult to board, but in a clients home I have historically done very well! I work 7 hour days 4 days a week currently, which can be adjusted as needed for clients and their pets comfort. I am also very good at following instruction and caring for animals- I used to work at a pet store!
“Mackenzie did a wonderful job checking in on my by two kitties. Stopped by at the agreed upon times and sent plenty of great pics. I knew my pets were safe and being well cared for.”

“Scott was just amazing! He took great care of our pet while we were away. He is very friendly, open to suggestions and is a great communicator (and quick!). His professionalism all in all is awesome. I would definitely hire him again.”

“We had great experience with Stephanie. She’s super responsible and genuinely caring to our cat Coffee. She paid attention to all the details and kept us updated regularly, which really helped us feel at ease while we were away. We felt completely reassured knowing our cat was in good hands.”

“Kira was absolutely wonderful watching Gemma over the weekend! Gem can be fairly shy and can be a bit persnickety with new people, but Kira completely won her over. Honestly, the best proof would be Gemma actually greeting her upon her arrival. If you know Gem, that right there is the ultimate positive review! Gemma was genuinely intrigued and clearly felt comfortable. On top of making friends with my GemGem, Kira took great care of all the basics—keeping her perfectly fed and watered—and even got in some fun playtime; I got lots of pictures! Gemma was so well cared for, and it gave me such peace of mind. I definitely recommend Kira!”

“Anna has been absolutely exceptional with our dogs! We’ve been using her for a few months now, and she is extremely responsible and gets back to us very quickly. She provides great feedback and we couldn’t feel more lucky to have her taking care of our babies.”

About: I aim to ensure that every dog in my care is taken care of to the fullest extent. Keeping your precious pet safe and loved is my duty. I know just how important dogs are in our lives, so ensuring they get the kind of treatment they get at home is essential. Loving dogs is something that comes second nature to me. Throughout my life, these pets have played a significant role. In my experience, I have watched/raised leader dogs for the blind, my dog, friends/family pets, and my girlfriend's dog often. I have 10+ years of experience working with this beautiful animal, both big and small. When taking on a new client, I'd like to schedule a meet and greet, whether online or in person; that way, we can ensure we're a good fit. That's very important to me, and also, getting able to talk will allow me to learn more about your pet and your care expectations; after all, who knows your pet more than the owner? Lastly, I love meeting new dogs, and they generally like to meet me, so I'd argue your pet, and I will get along incredibly. Being away from your best friend can be really difficult so I make it my goal to communicate as often as possible. I will make sure to give plenty of updates and pictures of all the fun your pup is having.
“Stevie was great! She was always prompt when replying to my messages, and my cat loved her. I enjoyed getting the cute pictures she took during her drop-ins. I’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Meagan showed our pets the most patience ,love and compassionate. She went up and beyond expectations when my pets misbehaved with accidents while we were gone. She is punctual and takes the best pictures. My pets loved her. She has allowed us to travel and know that our pets are in the best hands....hers❤️ I Highly recommend her ❤️”

“Cerra did an amazing job! She was very accommodating last minute and was willing to come meet Abby before so she could see her beforehand. Abby is very cautious of people she doesn’t know but warms up fast and Cerra did a great job interacting with her. I would recommend her to others and book again if ever needed :)”

About: Hi! I’m 30 years old and I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up in a house full of dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—my mom always had rescues and mixed breeds, so I’m very comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels. Today, I have my own adopted 16 lb mixed-breed dog, and caring for him has only deepened my love and experience with dogs. I’m confident handling puppies and energetic dogs, and I truly enjoy walks, playtime, and giving them attention and care. For safety reasons, I prefer not to work with dogs that are overly aggressive or difficult to manage. My experience is focused entirely on dogs, so I’m not the best fit for cats or other types of pets. I’m available to foster small dogs in my apartment. I work from home and I’m able to walk him/her 3/4 times a day. I’m also available for drop-in visits between 6 AM–8 AM and anytime after 5 PM. I live in an apartment with a fenced area, which is great for safe outdoor time. I’m also happy to take your dog on walks outside around the neighborhood. I can feed, play with, and walk your dog, making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you’re away.
“Ari is the absolute best! I trust her implicitly with both of my cats and they enjoy her too (even my older cat who is very wary of people). She spends extra time with them to make sure they’re taken care of and I will continue to book her every time I need a sitter because she’s so wonderful.”

“Megan took such great care of our 2 kitties! Usually shy, they obviously felt very comfortable with her. She spent time caring for them and went above and beyond for us. So grateful to have found such a great pet sitter!”

About: I’ve had dogs & cats since I was a baby so I have a lifetime of experience! I’ve helped care for my grandpas senior dog with diabetes so I have a bit of experience giving medications & special attention. I also have a few months of basic dog training in my background. Aside from that I have lots of energy & love to give your sweet fur babies! Apart from working my normal 9-5, a majority of my time is open & available. I’m available daily & on the weekends depending what time. I am also open to discussing pricing! All fur babies will be given lots of love & attention. Any in home care will be provided to fit the clients needs & respect their space.
About: As if raising my puppy, Miller, and taking care of my cat, Sandy Claws, wasn't enough, I am pet-sitting full time because I can't get enough of them! I am a reliable dog-walker and pet-sitter who will engage with your animals and make sure they're safe, happy, and never bored. I pet-sit for friends multiple times a month, which I've done for as long as I can remember. *I am fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including up-to-date booster.* I am pet sitting full-time while I take flexible online classes. I am available for your emergency lunch walks, scheduled mid-afternoon jogs, or whatever else you need. I am available majority of the day, every day, for your needs. I am a vigilant pet-owner and will keep a close watch on your dog. I always make sure to document the fun with pictures or videos, and secure and lock up when I’m done!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a little kid, and I haven’t taken care of a cat recently but I used to as well. I can feed, bathe, take out, give medicine, etc. I did just get a new job so I’m still working out my schedule but I’m completely available on weekends for sure as of right now! Anything else would need to be planned ahead. Every pet is different and some need more or different care than others. When it comes to giving them the environment they need, I’ll do anything to achieve it. Anything I can do to help make them comfortable, or make a pet parent comfortable, I’ll do.

Cerra did an amazing job! She was very accommodating last minute and was willing to come meet Abby before so she could see her beforehand. Abby is very cautious of people she doesn’t know but warms up fast and Cerra did a great job interacting with her. I would recommend her to others and book again if ever needed :)

Mandy was excellent with our senior, blind dog. She sent pictures, and she cuddled and pet our little baby. Our dog lost his mom suddenly (my mother in law). We needed the sitter for her celebration of life. He has been sad and trying to adjust to my home and routines. Mandy made him feel loved and we also appreciated that. ❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
