Sarah is fantastic. I was very comfortable with her in my home, which she kept clean and tidy. She is great with my dog who had never been left with a sitter before his six days with Sarah. She kept me updated with photos and I could tell Wolfy was happy. I would recommend her to anyone. I have rebooked her for another stay and hope she is always available when I need a sitter.

About: I am a school counselor, a mom, an adventurer, and a huge animal lover! 🐾❤️ I grew up with 6 shih tzus, 5 ferrets, 2 parakeets, and a mink. My pets were a part of our family and were always well cared for. I personally have owned a pit bull, a husky malamute mix, a german short hair, a terrier, a ferret, 4 cows, 4 ducks, 3 pigs, and 12 chickens. I have experience caring for animals of all ages. I enjoy going for walks and hikes and am looking forward to having some pet pals to tag along. I am patient, flexible, and open to new opportunities to bond with different types of pets. I'm available most weekends and holiday breaks. For longer durations please send me a message and I'll try my best to work with your schedule. I love the outdoors and would love to take your pet on some short hikes around local parks with your permission of course. When doing drop ins and walking your pet I am always happy to play fetch, tug of war, get in all the snuggles, and soak up all the fun.

Xenia & John were excellent in caring for our pup while we were away. I received daily photos and updates of our pup that were reassuring and allowed us not to worry. When we came home, the house was very clean, sheets and towels were washed. Very thoughtful. We will call Xenia & John again for future trips.

Rylee was so good with my deaf 3 month old puppy, over three days she played with him, fed him and also left out food for my cats. She went above and beyond and brought in packages and left my home cleaner than when she got there. I would highly recommend her to anybody needing a dog sitter, her love for animals is obvious and I know my pets are in good hands with her.

About: I truly enjoy dog walking and dog sitting. Currently, I am unable to have a dog and dog walking/sitting brings me so much joy. I especially like taking dogs out for daily walks/jogs/hikes. I'm good with their familiar walks and also exploring new places if they are an adventurous pup! I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds and making new doggie friends. I'd love to meet your baby - send me a message! I currently work from home most days and can be available for daytime check-ins. I am also available most mornings and evenings for walks and check-ins as well. Weekends are very flexible as well. When caring for your pets in your home, I will make sure it is calm and comfortable for your pets. I appreciate knowing any rules and routines that best suit your pet so that I can follow them and make it easier on you when you return home.

Rebecca was great with Loki and Brewer. She kept us up to date on their naps! They were both so much less stressed than boarding and I am so glad we had the opportunity to meet and have Rebecca here for a couple of days. Will definitely be calling her back if she can squeeze us in!

About: Hi, I’m Jordyn! I’m 22 years old and I am new to Rover. I have three large, very active and cuddly dogs of my own. I’m doing Rover full time so I’m always available for a walk, a drop-in, playtime, or housesitting as well. I understand that leaving your pet to a stranger while you’re away is pretty scary, so my goal is to create a bond with your pet and make sure that you can trust me 100% and feel comfortable. I want to provide the same level of care and love that you do with them. My own dogs are five and seven years old. I have raised each of them since they were 8 weeks old so I have been around plenty of puppies before. I also have experience housesitting with a couple senior dogs too, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages. I can take care of larger dogs, but I would prefer no more than 80 pounds as I’m not too strong. I’m good with dogs of all energy levels and would love to play with them, or be quiet and calm as they need. I have housesat and watched other pets for long periods of time (as long as 2 weeks). I also don’t mind picking up/cleaning up any messes either. Unfortunately, due to my home being pretty full, I cannot board in my own house. I am also okay with other pets like cats, fish, and turtles as I have experience in taking care of all of those. I’m home all day except for running errands or appointments so I’m always available to take care of your pet. They will always be my priority. My own dogs have a nice yard to play in and they go on walks frequently. When caring for your pet, I will make sure to care for them the same way you do, as well as treat them like my own. I’d love to take them on walks, play, give treats, and show them lots of love.

Jackie did an excellent job with our senior Lab. He loved her from the moment he met her. She sent us lots of pictures and stayed in communication keeping us posted on all his adventures. At one point my husband said “he is having so much fun he may not want to leave”! Additionally, she did a great job watering all of my plants and vegetables during a hot spell. They all looked better than when we left. We arrived home to a spotless house, a beautiful thank you note, fresh baked cookies and sourdough bread! I would highly recommend Jackie to care of your precious pets!

About: I've worked with many breeds of dogs. Mostly small to mid-size dogs with a variety of traits. Mostly working dogs namely Blue Heelers & Huskys. I tend to live an active lifestyle and that means hiking/walking/and lots of exercise. Rest assured both me and your pooch will be getting a good workout! In the past I've facilitated overnight lodging for dogs, and temporary stays of up to a few days. Be noted I do not currently have a large open or fenced in yard. I work with neighbors and friends pets on quite a regular basis! I regularly feed, train, walk & care for pets when away or on business! I work from home so this environment provides a perfect spot for pets to be nurtured & played with consistently! I always check prior to booking any special exercise and or dietary needs of your pet. Ensuring door remain locked when inside and timer's are set for when pets receive food upon client preference. Safety is of the upmost priority, so I will discuss a full plan and schedule so you know where you pup is and his progress while away. I will send regular check in photos to provide accountability for myself and the clients well being.

She also did an amazing job keeping watch on our home while we were away. We love having her over and will definitely be booking for all of our future trips! 😊👍

About: What sets me apart is that I have cared for pets my entire life and genuinely treat every animal as if they were my own. I understand that every pet has unique needs, personalities, and routines, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I am experienced with pets of all ages, from energetic puppies who need patience and consistency to senior pets who require extra attention, gentle care, and medication reminders when needed. I am reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to keeping pet parents updated with messages and photos so they can have peace of mind knowing their furry family member is in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have had pets my entire life. I work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, so I am available before and after work for feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention. Evenings and weekends allow me to spend additional quality time with pets and ensure they stay comfortable and happy. I enjoy maintaining their normal routines so they feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. I follow all feeding, exercise, medication, and care instructions provided by the owner and make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I also respect my clients' homes by keeping them clean, secure, and exactly as I found them. Safety and trust are very important to me. I pay close attention to each pet's behavior, ensure doors and gates are secure, and keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can have peace of mind while they are away. Truly, cannot say enough nice things about Xenia! She took such great care of my “kids” while I was gone. I haven’t left them with a sitter for this long (6days) and was super stressed. I got pictures and updates every day and the house was sparkly upon my return. So many thanks to her!!!!

FAQs for House Sitting - Pleasant View

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Pleasant View on Rover is $29.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 756 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pleasant View. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pleasant View walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pleasant View maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pleasant View choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pleasant View. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
